Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1078 comments Vamp Amber I pick for you...

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie - I love this book and re-read it often

What the Hell Did I Just Read (John Dies at the End, #3) by David Wong - I love the cover and the title

And for your bonus Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick - I loved this book, it's only 244 pages, and is a classic sci-fi social commentary

Harry potter because it's just the perfect cold weather classic that if you haven't read it yet, you should haha, Girls waits with gun I also have it added to my giant tbr and it sounds like perfect mystery type of novel for the days getting shorter and darker and then I recommend Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor as urban fantasy, because it's personally 1 of my fave's and you might like it as well.

Thanks for the picks. The second one is the third book in my favorite series (the first book is John Dies At The End), so it'll be great to finally getting around to reading it.

As for the bonus pick, it's actually been on my to read list for years, and this'll be tbe perfect kick in the pants to read it already.

Danielle, I decided not to read Shades of Wicked (Night Rebel, #1) by Jeaniene Frost right now, because I haven't read any of the Night Huntress novels yet. I didn't realize it was part of that, but I thought it was a completely new series. A friend of mine really very strongly recommended to read the books in order, so I'll take her advice :-)
I don't know if you want to pick again? Or I could just read Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost , the first book in the series.

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1078 comments Finished the last book in the Shopaholic series!

Shopaholic to the Stars (Shopaholic, #7) by Sophie Kinsella read 11/13
I really enjoy entering Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood's world). It's a joyous world of misunderstandings, over shopping, and great friends and family. This time she is in Hollywood trying to make it as a Class A fashionista for the stars! Of course, nothing is simple in Becky's world and things turn awry very quickly.

Progress: 1 of 3 down

VampAmber | 622 comments Finished the last of my three books today, and realized I hadn't said anything about any of them yet. Oops.

And Then There Were None turned out being really good, and quite a bit more interesting than I was expecting. Glad I finally got forced into reading it, and now I definitely need to read more of her stuff.

What the Hell Did I Just Read ended up rocking, but I kinda knew it would before I even started it, cuz I loooooooooove the series so much. Hopefully he eventually brings out a fourth one. ^_^

And for my genre pick, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, I'm also glad I finally read it. The movie was kinda meh for me, but the book was much better. I might continue the series, but I'm not sure yet.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2365 comments Theo, loved your picks. Rare and Precious Things (The Blackstone Affair, #4) by Raine Miller Speakeasy (True North, #5) by Sarina Bowen It finishes one series for me and UTD with another.

message 85: by Marty (last edited Nov 23, 2018 05:58PM) (new)

Marty (martymill) | 1300 comments Managed to finish one: The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan - it was a cozy, charming romance about a young librarian who turns the loss of her job into an opportunity to start her own mobile bookshop in the rural Highlands of Scotland. Using deaccessioned books from her library branch, she purchases a van and begins a transformation of the small community she serves, which in turn transforms her. Along the way, she learns some hard lessons about the reality of romance vs that she finds in the covers of her novels. Very enjoyable. Four stars.

The other two books have been on order at my library for a couple of weeks, so I doubt I'll get to them this month. Sigh. Happy Thanksgiving, all!

The Two Towers (The Lord of the Rings, #2) by J.R.R. Tolkien 22/11/18 ★★★★★

I love this book, there is so much history and descriptions of the land and everything on it.

message 87: by Brigia (new)

Brigia | 141 comments I finished Pisces Hooks Taurus (Signs of Love, #4) by Anyta Sunday - Pisces Hooks Taurus - 4 stars! I really like this author's style and the story made me laugh, especially in the beginning. Didn't love it quite as much as Leo Loves Aries though - the first in the series.

Thanks for picking it, Danielle!

Hey 👋🏾 Jenn
I read Far from the Tree by Robin Benway ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ and a couple of others you didn’t pick from my Nov bookshelf The Lady Travelers Guide to Deception with an Unlikely Earl (The Lady Travelers Society, #3) by Victoria Alexander ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mama's Boy by ReShonda Tate Billingsley ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks for my picks.
Ezinwanyi

LittleRedRidingHood | 315 comments I managed to finish two books.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling ★★★★½
I liked it way more then I thought I would. And it really has a nice fall feel to it so I'll probably save the rest of the series for fall months in the next year.

Girl Waits with Gun (Kopp Sisters, #1) by Amy Stewart ★★★★
I had this one for 3 years now and I'm glad it got picked. It is historical fiction based on the story of a real woman who became the first female deputy. Interesting characters, very readable style of writing with just enough humour.

Didn't have the time for the Daughter of Smoke & Bone, so it gets straight to 2019 tbr. :-)

Thanks to Damselflies for the good picks.

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments Finished all 3 books:

The Family We Make 11/24 - really well written but I'm not a huge fan of YA
Illegal Contact 11/14 - just okay
In the Requiem 11/30 - Brilliant - Love this series and I'm sad this is over. This book made me cry, smile and left me wanting more.
