Weak female character. Crappy male characters. None of which are because of them being rockstars. Just how they are written. The story wasn't even that great. Wanting to dance for one rock band, Sylest goes to an audition...to not even get to audition. Ends up meeting Maks, who offers her a job. She agrees! To go on tour with 7 complete strangers. A band she had never heard of before. Can't understand why her mom is unsure. And did I mention she is weak?

Review: In this 4th book of the Outlander series Clare and Jamie immigrate from Scotland to North Carolina in the late 1760's. Two hundred years in the future their grown daughter Brianna has decided she wants to travel to the past to find our her parents history, not realizing her husband is also taking the portal to the past.
I find the changing of time periods a bit disconcerting but always interesting.
I was truly surprised when this series came in 2nd in the pbs Great American read so it made me determined to read the series.

I haven’t done either. But I have the audio because it was highly recommended

I've read the first book twice, once I read it and the other I listened. I have yet to read the rest of it.

Review
Another great installment in this mystery series and one of my favourites so far. I love all the characters and this time they dealt with another case full of twists and turns. I cannot wait to read the remaining two books in the series.

Review: Kylie is down on her luck, it's been almost a year since her father died leaving her to live with her very young step mother who parades men in and out all the time, out of jealousy she kicks her out and that same day she loses her job. So what's a girl to do? She ups and heads to Nashville with a couple hundred bucks and a dream in her heart.
I liked it, it was a freebie so if book 2 becomes free at some point I'll continue on with the next book, if not I'll go on reading something else.

Week #8 - Spot 64

The Alion King
Completed: 11/02
Rating: ★★
Review: This has been my go to series because they are short, available for free with the audible romance package, and there are a lot of them. With that being said, I'm kind of over them. The whole kidnapping scene was eye roll worthy.

In the future if you know for a fact you aren't gonna make it by Thurs night at midnight (central) please let me know. That way I don't have to force myself to stay up for nothing. Thanks.

I’m in Las Vegas and losing track of the day. I just got in and will post my completed book in the morning.

WEEK #8

Book:

Blue Horizons by Kathryn Andrews
Rating: 3 stars
Date Read: Nov 10th 2018

Review: I don't usually read books about musicians but the description of this one intrigued me. I liked all the characters, especially Will. The storyline kept me interested but the writing quality was subpar at best. Still, an enjoyable one time read.

Arshiya & Sunshine, please do follow the review post guidelines - as Carrie rightly pointed out, Arshiya's post is missing the read date while Sunshine's is missing the author's name and the review itself should be min. 3 sentences. Krissy, please also keep an eye on these things. Thank you!
It is technically in the list of requirements. I don't usually go out of my way to make a fuss about it unless someone's using an author alternate, but figured I'd mention it while I was at it.

I was looking for it, and finally found it the FAQ section :)
Oops, I then have to apologize because I never include the author (and don't think I did it in the previous rounds of SS either...). I'll make sure I include it in completion posts from now on.

Review: Jane has a plan when she moves to Minneapolis. Her plan is to get to know Steven and find a way to torture and eventually kill him. Her best friend committed suicide directly due to Steven being a major tool to her and after having met Steven, he definitely needs to die.
Jane is a psychopath all the way with no sense guilt at what she plans on doing and freely uses sex to manipulate the people around her.
I found this book hard to put down. New author to me.

Don't feel bad. I've never added the author in my posts either :/

Book: Buried on the Fens by Joy Ellis

Review
This was another great book in the series, although not my favourite case. It took a bit longer to get to the page-turner part of the book. Overall I thought that the case was interesting and I still loved all the characters. I will miss them when I finish this series.
