See if this rings any bells:

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

Matthew 7

But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

Matthew 23:23-25

Oh sheesh Robert, you will never learn. No, I did not say quoting the Bible is mud slinging. Which everyone reading this thread who has at least two brain cells to rub together already know.

You truly need to stop claiming people said something they did not say. I already busted you on that yesterday, and here you go again.

You stated:

In the last 13 or so posts you have quoted ZERO (0) Scriptures... yet you claim to affirm essential Christian doctrines????? LOL!!!!

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I pointed out:

In the last 14 posts you have quoted zero Scriptures ;)

You then stated:

"Of course you HAD to stop at 14 posts... on the post prior to that I QUOTED more than a DOZEN Bible verses! "

"Your own criteria, of which you just condemned yourself, was :

The MUD you slug at me was....what, Robert? Quoting Bible verses? Nope. It was....wait for it... accusing me of not affirming the essential doctrines because I'd not quoted Scripture in the last "13 or so" posts, when you yourself hadn't quoted Scripture in the last 14.

So, according to you you yourself do not affirm the essential doctrines of Christianity because you did not meet your criteria for it.

Please do try to follow the actual conversation, and refrain from claiming I've said things I have not said. It is beyond tiresome. From now on please provide the exact and accurate quote as well as a link back to the post you are quoting.

1 When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters,a I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan.b 2 For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

Next he'll probably accuse me of being a lesbian because I don't swoon when he speaks.

The projection accusation is the funniest. Poor Robert is completely devoid of self-awareness.

And yet, it's not a fact, it's your unsubstantiated claim it's a fact, which is quite a different matter altogether.

Regardless, the fact remains, you demanded we tell you what the Gospel is, and yet when asked you stated there was no need to explain it.

So, not only did you ask of others what you refuse to do yourself, you asked of others what you state there is "no need" to do.

Additionally it's typically unwise to throw "all" of anything into one lump. Making absolute claims typically is folly. According to Robert all liberals project onto others what they are guilty of.

Certainly many liberals do do that. Every single one of them? Highly unlikely. Not to mention many non-liberals do it as well.

Alexandra | 423 comments Robert wrote: "NOT based on nothing... based on the FACT that, like liberals, you project onto me that which YOU are guilty of..."

The fact that you think that of "all liberals" and the fact that you accuse me of it, isn't proof I am a liberal, nor is it a legitimate "observation" of a "fact", as you claimed.

That's like saying, "All elephants are grey, you're grey, therefore you are an elephant".

Well, other than the fact that not all liberals are guilty of projection, many non-liberals are guilty of projection, and I've not been projecting. ;)

So, yet again we see you make a false accusation about me based upon nothing but your own delusions.

Even funnier is the fact that you yourself project onto others what you are guilty of, which, by your standards makes it a "fact" that you are a liberal.

"FACTS - I asked first... she refused to answer... she demands me to answer... she projects her refusal to answer onto me... "

Um, no, not really. It's a fact you asked. I asked you to explain it to us. You stated there was "no need" to do so since:
