Just completed my book for "F" - The Fate of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. This series was not entirely nonredeemable. True, the author took some really sick turns and there were still major gaps in her plot line at the end. But I liked the inevitable conclusion of what would a truly good citizen give up to ensure that their beloved country was able to survive and thrive. That ending saved the series for me. It contained real emotion. But some of the twisted stuff in the middle was unnecessary and distracted from the overall plot. Worth reading but be warned. 3.5 stars1/8

We just passed summer solstice and the days are full of light. Let's bring back an oldie but a goldie and spell it out! For this challenge choose a word that relates to light and spell out that word with books. You can use ANY of the first letters of the main words in a title of a book (don't use words like "a", "an", "the", or "of") or the initials of its authors.
Example: Candles produce light.
C: Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng (our group read for this month!)
A: Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
N: American Gods by Neil Gaiman
D: The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson
