Rissa, pull up your big girl panties and pick some books or spankings for you later! If I hadn't already read Into Deep Waters that's what I would pick. And yes, it was a sobfest for me but that's nothing new. :D

Well it does make the book sound more interesting. I kept thinking this guy would be shifting into the tiny little bird and doing God only knows what. Nothing very macho that's for sure. Maybe sing a little and poop on people from atop the window ledge or something. :D
Roger wrote: "Rissa (an M/M kinda Girl!!) wrote: "Rissa at 172 pages Kaje Harper's Into Deep Waters is good "It is fantastic and doesn't feel historical at all. I used this one for another challenge that had historical in it. :)

Gosh Dang-it!
Big girl panties are on and I'm picking my books! I still have to decide on a apoco/dysto/zombie book..all the ones that even remotely interesting are to short.
Shannon wrote: "Dee, OMG I kept reading cockatiel not cockatrice. Does it have to be a real animal? It's creepy!"
I read cockroach at first...
Cockroach! lmao, that would be awesome!!Rissa, what about "Strain". Someone mentioned in one of the SH threads that the guy has to keep having some sex to stay alive or something. lol

Hmm..interesting. Off to check it out
OMG..it's sooooo long for a theme I don't really wanna read. But it does sound good and it's on the darker side, so that always helps. I think I might go for it...well I added it to my shelves in any case.
Finished!My Ranking
1. Science Fiction
(4 stars)2. Erotica
(4 stars)3. Early 20th Century
(4 stars)4. Shifters - Other
(3 stars)5. Dystopia
(3 stars)Here's what I read:
I started with Aiden and Ky for the Sci-fi. It features genetically modified men on another planet. I like aliens, space, and all that, so I knew I'd enjoy that one. His Very Own Girl was for the 20th Century and is set during World War II. Very good! The author did a fantastic job of depicting the era - it felt very authentic. But I'd rank this genre a little lower overall, just because there are so few novels set in this time frame. For Erotica, I read Liberating Lacey, which is about a woman looking to sow some wild oats after her divorce. I also liked this one. Then Matched for Dystopia. Certainly a well-written book, but I did not enjoy "spending time" in that world, and found it tough to finish. Never mind that I started and abandoned other Dystopia books before finally finishing this one! The Mane Event for the Other Shifters - the hero is a lion shifter, and there were hyena and wolf shifters as well. I didn't really click with this book, either.
Re Shifter Others:Kate Daniels has a lot of were creatures: Were mongoose; Were hyenas; Curran is a lion shifter

Hey everyone. I've been added to this group. I read all but one of the genres so will be able to find books. The one I don't read is early 20th century thru WW2. I saw some ideas of books in this genre that you've posted, so I'll look them up and pick one.

AAAAHHHH. I have been waiting to read Starlight Rite for a long time. Can't wait to hear your review
Has anyone started/finished reading anything yet?I've been away all weekend and haven't read much at all. I hope to start something later on tonight.
I've finished my Early 20th Century (Pathfinder) and my Erotica (A Dance with Domination). Working on my Dystopia book now.
I've read my erotica, shapeshifters and science fiction books. I'm listening to zombie book and will finish it in a couple of days. I just got to find a Early 20th Century thru WWII book.

If I understand the rules correctly, I have to finish my Group F books first before I can start these books. I am on book 2 at that group
Just finished my early 20th century book. While this is not usually my period I loved my book, 5 stars, and I don't give those easily The Baker's Daughter which is a nice blend of history, fiction and love story. I knew nothing about the Nazi Lebensborn project so that was fascinating.
Pam - I hardly knew anything about it either, but she also wrote about it in her contribution to Grand Central: Original Stories of Postwar Love and Reunion - i'm reading Of Pure Blood right now, which is a NF about it - really interesting/scary
I finished my first book for this challenge
..more fun than anything. Plus side....I'm getting used to Mpreg!
I finished my book for Erotica:
by Alice Clayton 288 PPS on 8/6/14.Currently Reading:
by Chris Bojhelian for Early 20th Century,
by MD Carey for SciFi, and
for DystopiaHaven't decided Shapeshifters, yet,
I'm currently stuck at the halfway point of my dystopia and the beginning of my Sci-Fi. Shocking!! :/
I've read my shifter book.I need a new choice for the historical type one. I think the one I picked is this time period.
I haven't given the Sci-Fi a fair chance yet and I haven't been in the mood for anything other than contemporary so I keep going back and forth. It's not boring or slow though...at all.
I've finished my zombie book
. So I've now read 4, it's only the 29th century book I've got to read and I don't know what I'll read yet as it's the one genre I don't read.
Finished my apocalyptic book Angelfall which I liked more than I expected to…but book ended on a total cliffhanger with nothing resolved. I have the next one on my kindle but won't race to read as the third one has a publishing date for sometime in 2015 and I don't want to be annoyed when I can't find out what happened. Definitely some gross parts.
had to tweak a couple of books as funds are non existent so purchasing books were not in the budget this pay so I had to improvise
In the last 24 hours I have finished my shapeshifter book Magic Rises and my erotica The Darkest Night. Full five stars for the shapeshifter. Could NOT stop reading and have asked for the next one from the library and I'm only #72 on the waiting list. Just okay on the erotica. Story dragged in places and I didn't find it super-hot which is not a good place for erotica.
I finally finished with all of mine and here are my rankings...1. Erotica
2. Shapeshifter
3. Sci-Fi
4. Post Apocolyptic
4. Early 20th Century
Pam wrote: "In the last 24 hours I have finished my shapeshifter book Magic Rises and my erotica The Darkest Night. Full five stars for the shapeshifter.
