I finished Feather Possessed (shifters-other), and it was pretty good. I liked the seeing the differences between the more common, emotions in your face type of shifters vs these owls who seem to be more subdued. I didn't like this book as much as the first though. I'd give it *3.5 STARS* overall, and depending on who the next book is about, I will continue the series at some point.
I finished Harmony, and it was a struggle. I just didn't connect with the characters. I didn't feel like the heroine acted in a way that a woman of color would have acted in the 1920's. But, hey what do I know, I wasn't there then.Anyway, I thought the premise was interesting and the writing wasn't terrible, it just wasn't my cuppa. *3 STARS*

Dee wrote: "owl shifters? i may need to check that out"LOL, it's quite "interesting" having them have owl qualities as humans.
when it comes to ranking your final books - consider 2 things - 1) your enjoyment of the book and 2) how well the theme was presented/reflected through-out - so you could have a book that you enjoyed more, be lower ranked than one with the theme being a stronger role - if you have any questions, let me know
hey guys, as a reminder, this round finishes on Sunday at midnight - so you need to get your books done and ranked by then. I'll leave the threads open until Monday morning (Sept 1) - but then I'll be locking them so I can finalize the books to through to the next roundIf you don't finish all your books, rank the ones that you have - the rest will just get a zero in the ranking scheme
I've been delaying reading my choice for early 20th century as it's not something I read. I'm going to read today, so you'll have my ranking some time tonight or tomorrow.

The first book in this set that I finished was: Reckless (Erotica), and it was good. I would have loved it so much more if Lexi hadn't been such a clueless snob until she actually got herself a backbone.
I loved every other aspect of the book. I especially loved how hot it was. I will definitely be continuing this series. *4 STARS*
Next, I read Obsidian (Sci-Fi), and I really enjoyed it. I have thought that this series has really gotten better over time. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. *4 STARS*
And then I listened to my Zombie book, Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues, and I really loved it. The world that Diana Rowland creates is entertaining and quirky. I love the anti-hero, Angel. She's really starting to come into her own now. I am definitely going to continue this series. *4.5 STARS*
