Thank! I am hoping to find shorter books for tasks I think are harder to find. Since we can use variations it will be easier than I thought.
I am curious when we eventually get to Task 3 - Play Wizard’s Chess if we do a Never Never, Never Say Never chain? I know a couple books with those titles are available on KU.

@LauraI would say yes to Chaos in Death based on the ebooks that have 160 pages.
No for Possession in Death though because Amazon only shows the ebook at 75 pages. Even if we can prove hours or words are more than enough, if pages are under 100 we can't use it.

Ok - I went ahead and added Sorcerer's Stone for our third book as we had the most books already read to slot into those tasks, so it made the most sense!

Sidenote on the idea of looking up books on certain shelves, here's a google trick you can use:Google has a site search function where you can use site:[website] [search terms] to find pages within a particular website.
To search shelves on Goodreads you can use site:goodreads.com/shelf/show [search terms]
So, for example I did site:goodreads.com/shelf/show relaxing and it gave me a bunch of shelves with relaxation in the title.
It still takes some searching because a lot of times the most popular books have been shelved < 10 times. But it can help as a jumping off point.
@OraCaptains are saying no to Just One Damned Thing on the account that even though it's meant to represent a clock you wouldn't be able to tell time on it.
Several people have agreed that Into the Water will work for the tale though!

For prison escape, would a rescue work?It's been a while since I read the first two books in the Dark Sword series. Not sure if character escapes prison or his brothers rescue him from the dungeon he was imprisoned. In the prior book, the brothers were trying to figure out a way to save their brother.

New York to Dallas had a prison escape in it. It's currently being used as a form of transportation on the cover, but my current book works for that spot, if we want to juggle some things around.
