I'm hoping not to finish any current books. Because then I'll be afraid of starting a new one that might have been perfect for first shelf call ... guess in the meantime I'll be thinking about my free space choice.

When waiting for a round to start, I normally just read non-fiction, non paranormal or books too short since most of the shelves will be series or paranormal related.
I'm working on team threads now :)** Please don't post on your team's thread until I've posted the first 5 messages, thanks!
We have a couple people with the same name playing. Here are the links to their GR home page, signup post + team #. If I missed another pair, let me know and I'll clarify which team for each. Thanks!Laura

Sandra wrote: "Yep, can't start reading the Free Space book till after the first shelf call Laura."So @Sandra, per the rules ... is the book of month limited to "March" right now?
And a comment ... it would be nice if the "T1, T2," etc. pages were linked on the team assignment page ... it took me a while to find them this round ... as it did last round, too...
We'll have to hassle Steph on that one Art :DI'll try and remember to remind her for next round, which will be later this yr.
There are the both the March & April books so far, but don't forget, any book on the SOS Bookshelf is available for Free Space. At the moment that is 5,087 books to choose from.
Anyone is allowed to put books on the bookshelf that they want to read for Bingo, right up until the first shelf is called.
We want members to add books they've read and enjoyed at anytime throughout the year. You just never know what you might want to read.
Steph wrote: "In case you haven't already found your team, here's a Shortcut/list of Team Assignments"Found my team ... took forever to find individual page ... could I suggest the "T1, T2, etc." be linked on the "assignment" page to lead our newbies/help our oldtimers to find the team pages???
...(they're burried below left-overs from R15)...
...you have to ask to see the rest of the links and scroll way down to get them all to show...
It's odd that the system is putting the newer threads below ones that haven't had any posting on them since last November.
Hey guys, first, we're in immediate need of standby players. One player has already had to drop out. So, please let your friends know, anyone who missed out before signup closed, anyone that might be interested and willing/able to stick with us through to the end would be greatly appreciated!Second, sorry for the hassle, Art. I'll try to remember to also include links to the team threads going forward.
Third, some of the older threads are above the newer threads because they're marked important by the mods. I'll review them and remove the important status to any that aren't needed for this round. Threads below those with an asterisk, which marks the thread as important and keeps it at the top, will organize themselves by most recent post (I believe).
If you'd like to provide one, we'd appreciate it. But definitely no pressure, you do have a life Sam :D

Hey I have a question about books we can read. Before the game started I was reading the psy-changeling book 14. I’m about 45% of the way through. Can I use that book for the futuristic romance shelf or do I need to finish that one and start the 15th book?

Question regarding FREE SPACE read:I would like to read Heartstriker book 5:
by Rachel Aaron which was published on March 1, 2018.This new release isn't on the SOS bookshelf but the prior books in the series are. See link: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
Is the book eligible for me to read?
Thanks
Isn't the Heartstriker series on one of the Best of Lists? If so its eligible, if not try & keep it for the dragon shelf :)And damn, if I'd realised it was coming out I would've added it to the shelves.

I didn't check the BEST OF list. But I don't recall seeing it in the past.
I just happened to be on the bookshelf because I was considering the new Patricia Briggs or Anne Bishop and I saw Nice Dragons finish last---my heart leapt for joy. I love Julius and Frederick and Chelsea and Amelia...and I am on the fence with Bob, Katyana & Svetlana, Ian
The Heartstriker series is my second favorite dragon series after The Darkness series by Katie Reus (which isn't a pure Dragon series since it has all kinds of supernaturals)
I just checked, I've got the 1st 3 of The Darkness series, but not read any of them yet. And I think I've got #1 of Heartstriker cause D.G. loves it too & recs it.

Darkness book 1 was weak, but the Book 2 was the book that sold me on the series. I love the narration by Jeffrey Kafer. I will add it to favorite audios later

I read the first one a while ago and thought it wasn't all too bad. If the second one is better, then I'll definitely have to get back to that series! :-)
Week 1, Shelf 1 are almost gone...and all is rather quiet! (...just a bit nervous about that...but will peep out a SHELF!)BSB Ninja request...the spreadsheet showing the status of all teams' cards is ready for viewing and checking. Please check that your team's card and name are correct, and let us know below if it's OK/needs a bit of an update.
Thanks!!
