Oh no ... I’m going to be bringing the averages down too. Sorry for adding to your average-anxiety! 😂

Allllll those zeros bringing our average down, and clogg..."Did you delete people last year? Whether or not you did, I would say wait until the end of February to delete non-posters which gives them another week to put in their books.
I seem to have disappeared from the group spreadsheet? I was next to Chrissy’s two columns. Not sure what happened?
Chinook, I must have accidentally deleted yours... it's returned to it's spot!
Last year, I kept track of the people with low counts and gave them 3-4 months... if they didn't update in that time, I did clear them out. It was so unruly last year with everyone on one tab, so I felt like clearing it out made it more manageable. And like Jody and Katie said, they could always go back and put in their books if they came back to it down the road.
Today I went through and deleted people with 0 books inputted... besides them having a certain column, there's no harm in clearing them out now since they hadn't input any books (and none of them had linked plans or anything like that either). I won't touch it again though... I don't want to delete recorded books this time around, since we have divided up the tabs and it isn't as chaotic.
Jody, lololol, I won't hold your low book count against you 😜

Emily wrote: "Thanks for the support! Our averages are now back on track. I don't feel bad about erasing people who haven't entered anything because they probably put their name on the spreadsheet back in Novemb..."Just saw this and immediately went to look at the spreadsheet. I understand the obsession, I look at my personal spreadsheet multiple times a day, even though I KNOW it can only change if I actually make a change (I don't have fancy pages/day etc in mine).
Mod fail: my name got deleted because I hadn't entered any books 😂
In my defense, I've been reading a lot of books left over from last year and have only actually read 1 for the 2019 challenge. But that also makes me a bit sad. I really need to up my reading game.

I’m having a slow February, reading-wise. Not sure why. Nothing seems to be catching my attention, so I’ve been researching The West Wing.

I haven’t been reading a lot this month compared to January and I look at my spreadsheet like the numbers are going to grown without actually reading 😅
I do the same thing hahaha! I keep adding pages so that I have things to play with on it without actually reading anything hahaha... I have planning tabs and challenge tabs and currently reading tabs and... it's getting a bit overboard.

I got so bored with the unchangingness of my 2019 spreadsheet that I started working on one for 2020. :omg:

Finally took the time to add my name and update my books, which made all those reads feel official! I keep a personal spreadsheet as well and one on my projected books, and one on my other challenges--in fact, I spend as much time with my spreadsheets as I do with my actual reading. I know it is weird, but I can't stop myself.

It looks like you missed deleting Elizabeth (Col W) who still has zero books read.

Same! I used the spreadsheet a few days ago when I had to find a book by an author that starts with F for another challenge I'm doing... ended up reading a great book that I found on someone else's list on there!

I am currently bringing down the spreadsheet average with my 10 books 🙈 But I just want to give a shout out to us because not a single prompt has less than double digits of books read for it!
Lowest prompts currently are the multigenerational saga (10 books total), 1001 books to read before you die prompt (11 books total), and owned for a year but haven't read (11 books as well -- we must keep procrastinating that one!)

I am at 10 also, it's not just you. And I'm not even reading in order.
Ooooppss, I totally forgot to update my column on the spreadsheet, but now I can't find my name anymore? Was I deleted for not updating sooner?
Simone, we deleted everyone who hadn’t input any books and were at zero. But feel free to add your name back!
One of the reasons I am so behind is because I am reading Middlemarch right now. Once that chonk is done, things should move faster.
I'm reading in order and trying to keep to the week due, so I'm not likely to add at enough of a rate to help the count.
I just did and hope I helped the average and count ;-) Sorry for being late with my update. I will try to update sooner from now on.
Sara, that's my goal too... I just happen to have fallen behind a week! Hopefully I can catch up this weekend.
Simone, no worries!

Ha I haven't read those three categories yet! But ahead of schedule, so happy about that
Is there meant to be a tab with an old copy of A-F? I was wondering where my books had gone to before I realised I was on a copy.
Whoops, thanks for pointing that out. I deleted the old tab, so if anyone is missing books that you just recorded, it may have recorded on the old tab!
I suggest that we make the spreadsheet link more obvious under the group’s description. Start off the sentence with Member Spreadsheet, which is the link. When you are on the App, you don’t see the link unless you click on read more. Even then, it’s easy to miss!
I have been such a slacker but I just updated mine from the last couple of months so hopefully that helped raise some percentages. I haven't read any of the bottom ones Emily mentioned though.
I seem to have been completely deleted from the spreadsheet. I looked at the "Version History" for yesterday (April 11) and it was there at 6:50 p.m. but not at 8:27 p.m.
I don't know how to fix it so any help is appreciated!
I was deleted too! I don't remember when I last checked - most likely it was around the 1st of the month - so I am not sure when my delete actually happened. Help!
It looks like someone did some weird merging and deleted 4 or 5 columns from the sheet. I've restored to the last version those columns in it.
SO! If you have updated your list in the last 18 hours, you will need to redo those updates!
Unfortunately, there's no way for me to catch these things without someone bringing them to my attention, and there's no real way to prevent them either. Hopefully people just stick to their own columns going forward!

Thanks, Emily!!

Aw, come on Steve. You're going to make me want to delete everyone with less than 5 recorded just so A-F can come out on top!
