I got lost in your TBR for a while, but I finally found my way out. I hope you like your picks.

Blue: Dark Descendant by Jenna Black. Interesting new take on some of the older mythologies, with an emphasis on Greek. The beginning is a bit confusing as the heroine is as much in the dark as the reader, but it quickly clears up. Or for something a bit more tranquil - Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen.

Green: You get a new relationship with Naked in Death by J.D. Robb and this relationship will last for the 30+ books in the series and Eve and Roarke are great together. Or you get a second chance romance with Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey. A big family camping trip with a bit a blackmail makes for fun.

Red: Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks has the passion of fated romance against the backdrop of a war of gods. Or follow a fury on a quest for vengeance with Red Hot Fury by Kasey MacKenzie

Purple: Have a fun romp with lots of kids in the historical romance The Trouble With Harry by Katie MacAlister or check out a paranormal cozy mystery set in a town of "crafters" in It Takes a Witch by Heather Blake

Black: This book lives up to the hype - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Or visit an academy that is getting teenagers from all sorts of pantheons (Greek, Spartan, Amazon, Valkyrie, etc) ready for the chaos wars of Loki's followers in Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep

Orange Destiny Kills by Keri Arthur has the most intriguing opening paragraphs I've read. This is kind of like James Bond in the paranormal world - The Man With the Golden Torc by Simon R. Green is a great action packed ride

Yellow: If you like humorous romance at all, you must check out Jennifer Crusie. Bet Me is one of my favorites by her and fits because the hero is a trainer/teacher. This I picked for the yellow cover and fun chase story with the sweetest Great Dane puppy - Hot

Pink: Jayne Ann Krentz is my favorite author, so I couldn't resist recommending White Lies from your TBR. I just re-read this one recently and really like the story and how the heroine coped with lying. Or you can check out an Alaskan town that has a yearly competition for the bachelors in Baby It's Cold Outside by Addison Fox.

Dark Descendant (Nikki Glass, #1) by Jenna Black Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen Naked in Death (In Death, #1) by J.D. Robb Exclusively Yours (Kowalski Family, #1) by Shannon Stacey Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, #1) by Eileen Wilks Red Hot Fury (Shades of Fury, #1) by Kasey MacKenzie The Trouble With Harry (Noble, #3) by Katie MacAlister It Takes a Witch (A Wishcraft Mystery, #1) by Heather Blake The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep Destiny Kills (Myth and Magic #1) by Keri Arthur The Man With the Golden Torc (Secret Histories, #1) by Simon R. Green Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie Hot by Julia Harper White Lies (Arcane Society, #2) by Jayne Ann Krentz Baby It's Cold Outside (Alaskan Nights, #1) by Addison Fox

I hope you enjoy!

Blue : Blue symbolises trust & responsibility, it seeks peace & tranquility
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold - blue cover (TBR)
The Sweetest Seduction (Kelly Brothers, #1) by Crista McHugh The Sweetest Seduction by Crista McHugh - peace & tranquility (NEW)
I read this one recently and liked it.

Green : Green symbolises balance, harmony and growth. It creates equilibrium between the heart and head, renewal and rebirth
For You (The 'Burg, #1) by Kristen Ashley For You by Kristen Ashley - renewed relationship (TBR)
This is the start of a really good series. The 2nd book At Peace is also great, but my favorite of the series is Games of the Heart (there are two romances in one book and one of them is really sweet! I've re-read it many, many times.)
Until November (Until, #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds Until November by Aurora Rose Reynolds - new relationship (NEW)
Great book! It was sexy and funny!

Red : Red symbolises energy, passion & action
More than Meets the Ink (Bowen, #1) by Elle Aycart More than Meets the Ink by Elle Aycart - passion (TBR)
Tattoos and piercings...very hot! The 2nd in the series is also pretty good about a girl who is BBW.
Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick - passion (very hot!) (NEW)
Such a great book and the hero is a dirty-talker (and dirty-thinker). Too bad the author seems to have fallen off and not written anything after or continued on to the next book in this series.

Purple : Purple symbolises imagination & spirituality. It represents the future and keeps us grounded
Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley - purple cover (TBR)
Great book, pretty funny and fun. Read the rest of the series they are great! My favorite is Rock Chick Regret (have tons of tissue available)
Law Man (Dream Man, #3) by Kristen Ashley Law Man by Kristen Ashley - grounded (a go to book for me, read over 10 times) (NEW)
I love this book! Mitch is great! Goes to show that there can be a great, sexy romance where the hero is NOT a billionaire (sometimes those get old) and the day to day problems (like money and kids) make this story real.

Black : Black symbolises those things that are hidden, secretive, unknown. It creates an air of mystery. It keeps things bottled up inside and hidden from the world. It's intimidating, unfriendly and unapproachable
Tempted (The Dark Hart Chronicles, #1) by Alexandra Anthony Tempted by Alexandra Anthony - big/small secret (TBR)
This sounds great. I've added it to my TBR.
Take Me (The Untouchables, #1) by T.A. Grey Take Me by T.A. Grey - big/small secret (and FREE on AMAZON!) (NEW)
I read this for a freebie challenge and was VERY surprised how good it was! A new author for me that I will read more of.

Orange : Orange symbolises adventure & social communication. It also symbolises exhibitionism, showing off and stimulates the appetite
Stripped by Jasinda Wilder Stripped by Jasinda Wilder - exhibitionism (TBR)
This story sounds so good that I've added it to my TBR! LOL!
Wildest Dreams (Fantasyland, #1) by Kristen Ashley Wildest Dreams by Kristen Ashley - adventurous (NEW)
A different book than what Kristen Ashley writes, but it is just as good as her other ones. I loved this entire series.

Yellow : Yellow symbolises the mind & intellect, logic and happiness
Losing It (Losing It, #1) by Cora Carmack Losing It by Cora Carmack - teacher (TBR)
This book was good, but if you have to pick from this category please, please, please go with my other suggestion!
Tangled (Tangled, #1) by Emma Chase Tangled by Emma Chase - intelligent woman (NEW)
I loved this book! I liked how it was from hero's POV and loved how we get an inside scoop on the inner workings of the male.

Pink : Pink symbolises unconditional love, nurture & understanding. It's also the colour of romance
The Notebook (The Notebook, #1) by Nicholas Sparks The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks - romance (TBR)
I haven't read the book, but the movie has got to be listed as one of the most romantic movies ever! And the rain scene where they kiss? Yummm! Many times the movie doesn't do the book justice so this book should be even better!
The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1) by Julie Garwood The Bride by Julie Garwood - romance (NEW)
I've been reading a lot of erotica romance the last few years, but this book is still one of my all-time favorites! It is sweet and funny and made me laugh. The heroine is feisty and wonderful. Julie Garwood has a great writing style (at least her early romances).

TBR: Any Given Sunday (Wild Irish, #7) by Mari Carr only a little green on this cover but it looks good

NEW: Déjà Dead (Temperance Brennan, #1) by Kathy Reichs This is the beginning of a really good series. This is the original Bones from TV. Very different from the show though. More mystery and character is older and more world weary but it is enjoyable.

Thank you for the picks Tia :)
There are 4 that you have chosen for me that are on my Read shelf and I have already read them.

[book:Rule|17200687]
The Theory of Attraction
Natural Law
Dark Lover

You have given me enough choices though, so don't worry about it. I see a few on the rest of the list that I am interested in :)

Loved my picks, I would love to read Phone Kitten but I have to see if my library has it.

Otherwise I'm probably going to go with the girl who chased the moon or madhatter, but then obsidian looks good too.

Joyce, I'm so glad you like your picks!

Phone Kitten was a freebie awhile ago and I picked it up. It's lendable, so I can lend it to you if you want to read it (before or after me). If you have Amazon Prime, you can borrow it for free from the site.

MountainKat | 31599 comments Thanks for the picks Joyce! I plan to start Outlander as soon as I finish the audiobook I have going now - so before August starts. You picked it and it was picked last month too, so it sort of counts for both months. =)

I also plan to read Any Given Sunday and Then Came You. Hopefully I can get to more too!

MountainKat | 31599 comments Hi Vi! Here are your picks, I tried to pick a new one, one from your shelves and one from your shelves that matched the color for each rule to give you lots of options. I hope you can find something you like!!

Blue:
NEW: Shaken by Dee Tenorio - beautiful, touching novella
TBR: Ain't She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - wonderful and a heroine you will want to hate, but just can't!
Color: The Chocolate Thief by Laura Florand

Green:
NEW: Do Over by Mari Carr - another wonderful novella!
TBR: Soulless by Gail Carriger - love this series
Color: Marrying The Captain by Carla Kelly

Red:
NEW: Kiss of the Highlander by Karen Marie Moning - one of the most romantic books I've ever read! I would never advise someone to read a series out of order, but you can skip the first three and start here - definitely!
TBR: Hard Evidence by Pamela Clare - Julian ~sigh~
Color: Much Ado About Sweet Nothing by Alison May

Purple:
NEW: Undeniably Yours by Shannon Stacey - I love the Kowalskis!
TBR: Head Over Heels by Jill Shalvis - I heart Lucky Harbor! or
First Lady by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - one of the best grovel scenes EVER!
Color: The Countess Conspiracy by Courtney Milan

Black:
NEW: Second Sight by Amanda Quick - looks like you have been reading lots of JAK and AQ, but not this series - I really liked it!
TBR: The Many Sins of Lord Cameron by Jennifer Ashley - I love those Mackenzie men! And their women!
Color: Touch the Dark by Karen Chance

Orange:
NEW: No Place to Run by Maya Banks - I want a Kelly brother of my very own!!
TBR: Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian - works for the FAC in August and I really like this series!
Color: Carolina Girl by Virginia Kantra

Yellow:
NEW: Hard as It Gets by Laura Kaye or from your TBR Hearts in Darkness by the same author - I love her work! So I gave you the shorter option if you want to give her a try!
TBR: Texas Glory by Lorraine Heath - I adored all three books in this trilogy!
Color: Demon Blood by Meljean Brook

Pink:
NEW: Out Of Her League by Kaylea Cross - wonderful series, this one just gives you a taste of what is to come!
TBR: Mackenzie's Mission by Linda Howard - not as good as the first, but still so good!
Color: Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare

Happy Reading!!

Thank you!

My secret is simple: I rarely anticipate books. I usually pick them up by chance and start reading them immediately. So I end up spending so much time actually reading that I don't have time to look for other books! :P

Didn't get back in last night until after 11 p.m. Once we put the groceries away it was late and I thought I'd work on it this morning. Got up at 6 and the internet was out. It was out most of the morning and I had my nephew's fifth birthday party this afternoon. I'm home now and as long as the storms hold off long enough to keep the computer on, I can work on your picks now.

Ooh, MK. Soo MANY Picks! I can't shortlist. I've gone over the post 5 times and it's still difficult. Thank you so much for the awesome picks!!

Yeah, I've been re-reading AQ and JaK books. They were the first ones I read when I started reading romance around 8-9 years back.

Thanks again for the great picks!

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments Sorry for the delay, hope you're having fun today. Let me know if there are any problems.

Blue
Hustled To The Altar by Dani Collins -- (blue cover, from your mng shelf) This looks like it could be a fun book.
Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley -- (blue cover, new) I started reading Ashley's books this year and fell in love with the men, the humor, the men ... did I mention the guys?

Green
Then Came You by Jill Shalvis -- (green cover, mng shelf) I read Lilah & Brady's story in May. Seeing this on your shelf reminded me I need to pick up the next in the series soon.
Shield of Winter -- (new relationship, new) I loved Vasic's story. I went in expecting something intense and dark and it did have it's moments, but the sweetness of the love growing between Vasic & Ivy was the perfect counterbalance to all the horror they have to deal with.

Red
Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews -- (energy and passion, mng shelf) One of my favorite series, I would definitely recommend continuing this series.
Embattled Hearts by J.M. Madden -- (red cover, new) I haven't read this yet, but it sounds interesting and I thought it would fit into your shelves.

Purple
Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St Clair -- (purple cover, mng shelf) Another author I haven't read, but I ended up adding this title to my shelves.
Magic at the Gate by Devon Monk -- (purple cover, new) A series I loved and you enjoyed the first four books, so go ahead and pick up book 5.

Black
Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey -- (secrets and a dark story, tbr) Another favorite series of mine. It's a chunkster at 687 pages, but you loved the first book a few years ago, so I would definitely recommend continuing the series at some point.
Kindling the Moon by Jenn Bennett -- (secret, new) One of my favorite finds of 2012 and a great start to an UF series.

Orange
Her Sky Cowboy by Beth Ciotta -- (adventure, mng) This has been on my tbr for a while too.
Scoundrel by Zoe Archer -- (adventure, new) It's been a few years since you read the first book in this series, but Bennet Day's story is definitely worth reading.

Yellow
A Study in Silks by Emma Jane Holloway -- (intelligent character, tbr) I picked this up browsing in the bookstore a while ago and hope to start this series soon.
Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie -- (happy book, new) Such a fun book. It definitely made me happy to read it.

Pink
How to Date a Nerd by Cassie Mae -- (romance, mng) The cover caught my eye first, but it sounds like a good read.
Noble Intentions by Katie MacAlister -- (romance, new) A historical romance that made me laugh. The villain was easily identified, but the humor appealed to me.

Hustled To The Altar by Dani Collins Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley Then Came You (Animal Magnetism, #5) by Jill Shalvis Shield of Winter (Psy-Changeling, #13) by Nalini Singh Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews Embattled Hearts (Lost and Found, #1) by J.M. Madden Secrets on the Sand (The Billionaires of Barefoot Bay, #1) by Roxanne St. Claire Magic at the Gate (Allie Beckstrom, #5) by Devon Monk Kushiel's Chosen (Phèdre's Trilogy, #2) by Jacqueline Carey Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett Her Sky Cowboy (The Glorious Victorious Darcys, #1) by Beth Ciotta Scoundrel (The Blades of the Rose, #2) by Zoe Archer A Study in Silks (The Baskerville Affair, #1) by Emma Jane Holloway Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie How to Date a Nerd (How To, #1) by Cassie Mae Noble Intentions (Noble, #1) by Katie MacAlister

I'm having trouble deciding which of the new to me books to try and track down first: Fallen Too Far (Too Far, #1; Rosemary Beach, #1) by Abbi Glines Tangled (Tangled, #1) by Emma Chase or Rule (Marked Men, #1) by Jay Crownover . I'll let you know once I decide.
