Samantha Kielty only thought she knew who she was and what she was made of. Until she was offered a position that would take her from her small office in San Antonio, Texas to that of her company’s larger, more upscale headquarters in Dallas, Texas, Sam hadn’t seen anything. Her new boss was not only intensely sexy, he was also about to show her things she had only read in books.

Logan McCoy’s life was steady going until he set his sights on his new Vice President of Project Operations. The woman makes his blood boil and makes him want things he hadn’t realized he was in search of. Logan only hopes that Samantha is capable of handling his dominating, controlling ways… especially between the sheets, or in the shower.

When Logan and Sam get together, sparks fly and they bring out each other’s deepest, darkest desires. He will push Sam past her sexual boundaries, and she will bring out his need to possess her in every way. But, can they find love within the inferno that burns between them?

Warning: This ebook contains sinfully, hot encounters between two (and sometimes three, and even four) consenting adults. Includes m/f/m and m/f/m/m. Contains graphic material that is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

HOT.DAMN Okay, I need a freakin cold ass shower, something people … cuz I’m burning up!

It started off as a slow slow slow build up, but as their story went on the level of intensity kept getting higher and higher until the ending, or as I’d like to call the big “O”, there was even some “cuddling time”, the epilogue.

Samantha, takes the opportunity to climb the corporate ladder, she meets her new boss and all her thoughts are nowhere near professional. Something about Logan turns her ”…from prude to nympho in six seconds flat.”

Logan, is in shock; how one could look at Sam, affect him like no other before. He shows Sam what it’s like to explore her darkest fantasies, even some she didn’t even know she wanted. ”…he never had problems with an audience. It was one of his few idiosyncrasies, aside from taking pleasure in watching another man pleasure his woman.”

BUT ... something’s that did distracted me from all the hotness was that the beginning started off really slow, I can see how some people would feel a little put off, focusing on Sam’s promotion, I get it because of the work I do, but not that many people would. Sometimes it felt a little weird; like I was reading two different stories, the work time drama and the sexual heat. The constant theme of denial of what she really wants got a bit old at times and the introduction to Luke and Cole, confused me, I found myself looking back to see if I missed anything.

Totally unexpected and totally enjoyed it, I'm off to book two :)

WHY IS THIS BOOK 500 MILLION PAGES LONG!!!!? IT NEEDS TO BE 150 PAGES!!!

If you know me at all, you know that I love to FEEL something. I don't care what emotion it is, anger, love, hate, fear, sadness...SOMETHING!!!

I felt something during the sex (cough, cough), but that's about it. The sex was smoking, but it was few and far between.

The characters weren't unique or interesting at all.

The rest of the book felt like a long, boring business meeting.

Thumbs down.

After all this time and all the books I have read by Nicole Edwards, I am finally started reading the "Club Destiny" series. Pretty ass-backward I know!! But hey... better late than never :P

I liked this one... because I just love this author's writing style, but I am gonna be honest and say that Sam in not one of my favorite heroines. It happens... I also didn't love Logan as much as I thought I would.

I mean I get all the MFM and MMF scenes and even the MMFM in these books. When it comes to this author, most of the time, you know there is gonna be a third party involved in the sex scenes and that is totally okay by me... I mean "hello hotness"!! That said, I do need to feel a connection between the main couple and in this case, I just didn't.

Logan seems to only want to watch his girl having sex with someone else. Either his twin brother or someone else, he doesn't seem to care all that much, as long as he gets to watch another man playing with Samantha. So it isn't even a polyamorous relationship, it is just when it comes to sex, Logan wants to pretty much watch... So I didn't feel the romance or the connection between Logan and Sam, because she spends most of her time fucking his twin brother Luke... Now there is a man that caught my attention!!

I am sure I will love his book a lot more.. It is an MMF and those and the MM ones are my faves ;)

Conviction is the first book in the Club Destiny series. If you've never read Nicole Edwards' books before, just know that she is great a writing a great love story with lots of steamy sex. This book contains threesomes, a foursome, and m/m sex at the end. If you are against any of those things then this book is not for you.

Samantha Kielty

Samantha Kielty is a 30 year old and is described as an independent, bold, brazen, confident, honest, spunky and ruthless woman. She is a Senior Director at XTX in San Antonio and has worked there for almost 10 years. The story begins at the end of the week when her boss, James Banten calls Sam into his office. She has always excelled at her job and is being offered a promotion, which would require her to move to the Dallas headquarters to become Vice President of Project Operations with the company. Sam is curious about the new position but also isn't sure she could picture herself anywhere but San Antonio since she's been there so long. James tells her that she has a video conference later that day with Logan McCoy to discuss the position.

Logan McCoy

Logan McCoy is a 39 year old and is described as a devastatingly handsome, confident, man who isn't the easiest man to work with since he's got high expectations and a short fuse. Logan is the President of XTX, so if Sam is to take the position in Dallas he'd be her boss.

Upon meeting over the video conference, Logan is immediately attracted to Sam.

He was a bit put off by his own overwhelming attraction to her. And the fact that he wouldn't be the only male in the office who would have this reaction to her. She wasn't just pretty, and she couldn't be classified as beautiful. No, those words were not powerful enough for what he saw. She was breathtaking. Her light green, almond shaped eyes and long, dark blond hair captivated him. And it had been a very long time since he'd been captivated by anyone.

Sam's attraction to Logan is immediate also.

She was still taken aback by the attraction she felt for the man she had just spent half and hour staring at. Right or wrong - and it was oh, so definitely wrong - she was surprised at her reaction and she couldn't push back the anxiety that overtook her. She was anxious to get to Dallas. And for the first time in years, it wasn't just work related

She agrees during the video call to arrive in Dallas on Monday for a few days to go over the projects she'd be working on and speak with the people she'd be working with as well as the man who she is replacing. Both Logan and Sam spent the weekend not being able to get each other out of their minds. They both knew the attraction was inappropriate but couldn't help it. Then they see each other in the hallway when she arrives at the Dallas offices.

As she passed him, their eyes locked on one another and he gave her the same crooked, devilish smile she had seen during their call on Friday. Her body shuddered and she prayed that it was only an internal reaction.

This woman managed to do what no other had done in years. She'd overwhelmed his mind since their conversation last week and that was before he'd seen her. When he'd gotten a close look at her in the hall that morning, Logan had been doomed.

She'd fit perfectly against him, and wasn't that the most inappropriate thought he'd had in quite some time. Well, maybe not too long ago. Shit, he'd been thinking about her naked all weekend.

Two months after Sam accepted the VP position, Logan and Sam have been doing their best to avoid each other up until this point, but they decide to give into their desires and decide to try a relationship.

Though this was likely the biggest mistake he'd ever made when it came to his career, something about Sam made it impossible for Logan to back off. So, now they could either walk away, pretend the earth didn't stop spinning when they were close, or she could make the next move.

This woman did something to him that no other woman ever had, and he had to admit it scared him to death

Throughout their relationship Logan introduces her to things she never dreamed she'd do, much less enjoy and he brings out her darkest desires. Throughout the majority of this book, Sam battles with herself over giving into her darker desires, she is afraid other people would find what her and Logan do to be too taboo. Logan introduces her to his twin brother Luke, who is identical in everyway possible (they so closely resemble each other that people have a hard time telling them apart)- it is with Luke that Logan introduces her to the world of threesomes, and they use Luke as a third in their relationship several times throughout the book.

Logan and Sam fall in love, but have to deal with meddling co-workers. The co-workers cause so many problems that, even though Logan's boss approves of Logan and Sam's relationship, he has to do something to resolve the problems. In order to resolve this issue, Sam is given a few choices- unfortunately since Logan is her boss, he has to deliver the news as to what her options are.

Sam freaks out and disappears for 2 weeks back to San Antonio with minimal contact with Logan. She's not only taking that time to think over her options she was given in regards to her job, but also thinking about her relationship with Logan during that time. She still has a hard time accepting the kinkier things she enjoys when she's with him and that she enjoys his more dominant side.

When she returns 2 weeks later, Logan is upset that she was able to ignore him for the 2 weeks after they confessed their love for one another and he's upset she is still trying to deny her darker desires.

Sam was a sexy, sensual woman and the depths of her desire ran deep. She liked the darker side of her sexuality, and she'd met her match with Logan. She might be trying to run away, but Logan didn't back off easily. When he wanted something, he went for it.

Logan comes up with a plan to show Sam that what she and Logan had engaged in was mild compared to what other's found pleasure in. They bring in a 3rd man named Cole who has few limitations when it comes to sex, including gender. That night includes a foursome, and some m/m sex between Cole and Luke. The whole night, was planned in hopes that Sam could finally come to terms with her darker urges.

Days later, Luke has gone AWOL after his interaction with Cole that night. But now that Sam has had time to think over everything that happened that night, she finally becomes comfortable in her sexuality and with her darker desires. Sam goes to talk to Logan, I won't tell you what happens when she goes to see him, but I will say that they get their HEA.

"I want everything you have to give me, Logan. Everything."

"I don't want you to change who you are, and I want to be who I am. I want to stand beside my conviction, to love you, be loved by you. Even when doubts plague my mind, I want you to know that I will always trust you, always believe that you will take care of me." ~Sam to Logan

"What you've shown me defies imagination, but it's been pleasure unlike any I have ever known. And though I know you will share my body with Luke, I need to know that you will never share my love."

"Never. Mine, Sam. You will always be mine. Only mine."

One final note, I've seen reviews for this particular book that say it's all sex and no storyline. I have read every book in this series several times, and yes there is a lot of sex in these books but there is a story in each one and the stories actually develop more and get better as the series goes along.

Wow, need a cold shower after this one or maybe a quick meet up with Logan and Company. Really liked it - sex scenes were really hot. Bit of M/M, Threesomes, Foursomes ... it had it all but it did not cross any boundaries that I would not have been able to handle. The instant attraction of the two main characters was obvious - and they first saw each other by video link but you could feel the sexual tension in the air. And when they met in person. Good lead in to the rest of the series as we got to meet some of the characters from the next couple of books. Should really read something nice and tame now?? Doubt it.

The book was well written and narrated. Logan meets Samantha when she gets promoted and he becomes her boss. There is a mutual attraction that they attempt to resist but of course, they are unable to. At first it all goes well enough with sexy times that were pretty darn hot. Then... they take it to the next level by adding a third or more to their little sexcapades. I liked seeing Sam's struggle with what is considered "normal" and her own desires. She is a strong independent woman that needs to work through her feelings and is lucky to have not one, not two, but up to three additional pairs of hands to help her sort through it all (see what I did right there? Lol). She also needs to work out how her career fits into everything. The whole business with the third and who he was to Logan was a little out of my comfort zone but this is fiction so what the heck, right? Go big on the fantasies or go home lol All in all the sexy times just about melted my knickers and it had a good plot with great character development. Safety: While there are two OM with H consent, there are no OW and let me tell you the h is a jealous one (double standards, anyone?). Obvs there is plenty of sharing. OM used condoms. I think the H did sometimes (sorry I can't remember more clearly but it was over 10 hrs of audio) There is no rape/abuse. There is pushing away.

Hmmmm.... I did like this one but I just didn't love it.. The sex was really very verrrryyy hot but I just never felt strongly about the chemistry between Sam and Logan. This book had several really good ménage scenes and I love reading some good multi player scenes for sure, but this time, I felt like it took too much away from Sam and Logan. I've read several ménage books where it worked really well but this time for me.. it just didn't feel right. I might still read others in the series.. maybe they get better.

The writing was good and the story did flow smoothly.... If I was rating the sex alone this would be a good 4.5 but the lack of chemistry I felt knocked it down to 3.

Although this book was off the charts hot more than I thought possible, it lacked in every other area for me.

As an erotic book, if you enjoy that genre, this is probably a five star read.

But I need more than just sex in every chapter to hold my interest. And while there was some plot, there wasn't enough to hold my interest. It took me entirely too long to finish this one. I wasn't invested in the characters at all. And only came back to this book when I wanted to read something spicy.

I will say again, bravo to the author. This sex was scorching and made me envious at times of the characters.

As a series opener, I thought this one worked really well. Not only are we introduced to the central characters of Logan & Samantha, we get to know several secondary characters who will star in the subsequent books.

So, the blurb says it all, Logan and Samantha share an undeniable, sizzling attraction for one another that they really were not going to be able to resist for very long. Both of them have relationship issues from past experiences that cloud their judgement today and both are slow to trust what is happening between them. There’s quite a long, slow build up to the moment when they first act on their feelings and this builds the sexual tension well.

I love the way that Logan slowly showed Samantha his dominant side and introduced her to more and more extreme sexual situations involving threesomes and, ultimately, a totally delicious foursome. She is at first uncertain but she’s overwhelmed by the intense sensations involved and she’s blindfolded for her first threesome and doesn’t know what is about to happen to her – it’s incredibly erotic! She doubts herself, she doubts Logan but Logan never once doubts what they are doing together and will move heaven and earth to ensure that they have a future together.

It’s wonderful, erotic, seriously hot, full of sexual tension and and a great sexy read.

DNF @ 85% (I know, I should have just finished it...)

This is an extremely sexy novel with some very erotic scenes but it was difficult for me to buy into the actual relationship dynamic. The two main characters immediately felt a physical sexual attraction towards one another but how that developed into an emotional bonded love I'm just not sure...it just kind of happened. I have to put this one aside for now and move on up to the next on my TBR list, but if you like ménage-themed erotica then consider giving this one a try. It might be worth the read for those scenes alone!

2.5 stars.

And apparently the trend continues.

Ok, the things I liked. The sex was hot. No complaints there. The problem was the rest of the book. Honestly, I have been known to give erotica some slack for a thinner plot or characterization. Not quite as much these days since I've been introduced to some great books that have it all. However, it wasn't so much that there wasn't a plot, or attempts to create three demintioanl characters, but what was there, didn't make any sense.

First. For the first 38% of the book I could not figure out what in the heck Sam actually did for a living. Frankly, this wouldn't usually be a big issue, but the whole, almost first half of the book was pretty much focused on Sam's job - how good she was at it currently, and if she should take a new positions. Finally at one point it was mentioned that she was in charge of internal software development projects. Again, I wouldn't care, but so much emphasis was put on her job, that the fact that you don't actually know what she does was beyond frustrating.

Then there was this whole issue of the introduction of the threesome with Luke. I don't have an issue with ménage. Sometimes the more the merrier. However, it was basically the end of their first date. They had semi-public sex, which she seemed a bit wigged out about afterwords, and then without discussion, he adds his brother to the mix. They are in the middle of sexy-time when he mentions that there is another guy watching. Now, Sam ends up being fine with that, but frankly, there was no way that Logan, at that point, could have know that. Personally, it seemed kind of a violation to go there without checking with her first when they hardly knew each other.

Then there was all the crap with Logan's ex Heather. First it was he didn't really love her. The it was he cared about her, but she hurt him, then it was he didn't really care about her. When she first forced the meeting with him in California, he was pissed (rightly so I think) , but then by the end he was all "oh, I'm so flattered that a beautiful woman like you would go to all that trouble." He was just all over the place and it didn't make sense. It also didn't make sense that an ex you haven't talked to in EIGHT YEARS is suddenly so interested she will risk her job to try and get him back, and then completely drop the whole thing after one conversation.

Oh, and the stuff about her getting the consulting gig with Alex's company when she as to leave XTX, made less than zero sense. Alex is suppose to own a security company. Bringing her on as a VP at his company to contract her back out to XTX is totally implausible. She is suppose to be in charge of managing internal software development protect for XTX. That has less than zero to do with security.

The whole "punishment" sene was odd. Not so much want actually happened, but the fact that I was referred to as a "punishment". I don't understand where that came from, at all.

Lastly, there is a clear distinction that Logan is sharing her body, but nothing else. This works since Luke pretty much says 20 words or less to Sam the whole book. Now, I could buy that, except that Luke is his brother, and he is marrying Sam. I find the fact that they never talk almost bizarre. I didn't need a relationship between Sam and Luke, but it was weird how he just showed up for sex and then left - with zero interaction other wise. But to make it even odder, at the end there is a reference that Sam misses Luke, and "not just for they physical pleasure". One, I don't know how she could miss him for anything else since they have had zero interaction except that which involves the three of them getting it on, and there was no bonding between them except the physical kind at that point. And, it's Logan thinking that Sam misses Luke, and he doesn't seem to care, which is odd since he is supposedly so possessive (outside of sharing her body)

There were numbers other little things. Alex was called Adam a couple of times, There were some consistence issues, like the fact that there first meal together is a steak - but later in the book he questions if she likes steaks. All of it just added up to be too distracting for me to enjoy the good parts. I don't think it going to continue with this series.

Powerful ⭐️

Nicole Edwards is my favorite author when it comes to kinky stuff. She definitely knows how to tell you a story, including the hottest things you can imagine.
I’ve read this entire series back in 2015, but I didn’t highlight anything or left any reviews, so here I am. I actually missed all these characters, so that’s why the re-read.

This first book is Sam & Logan’s story. She’s offered a promotion, having to relocate from San Antonio to Dallas. She wasn’t expecting to fall in love with her boss and neither he with her.

Here’s what I think. Even if it was sort of an insta-love, Nicole Edwards manages to convince you that their attraction and feelings between our MCs are real and not to be doubted.
I loved the fact that Sam was super smart and career orientated.
Sam and Logan tread carefully, because they’ve both been burned in the past, but they’re not scarred to admit their feelings, even if they’re too soon, by some standards.
Logan is definitely that type of hero meant to be forever embedded in your heart and soul. ❤ I should tackle the idea of a true possessive alpha man who’s able to share his woman with another man, but I feel like you should read the context and draw your own conclusions.

I don’t really know why I initially gave it 4⭐️, because now I feel like it deserves more.
There was little drama, some running and hiding, a few scorching scenes - .

This series has to be read by every erotica fan out there. You simply cannot miss out on the pleasure!

Key thing to remember:

“Lowering your inhibitions and having an open mind didn’t mean you couldn’t live your life like normal people. It only meant that you knew who you were and what you wanted.”

***3.75 stars***

This started out pretty slow and the beginning had too much detail on things that really didn't add anything to the story.

But DAMN Logan was YUM-MY!! I loved that he was protective and careful with Sam's discovery of her sexual preferences, but was also assertive and very Alpha. And naturally with all that amazingness, Sam eventually embraced her inner sex fiend.

The thing that doesn't quite get this book to 4 stars is that I didn't feel the connection in their relationship. There was insta-love, which I can understand at times, but there wasn't anything deeper built on that. Not much interaction with the characters outside of the bedroom, pool area, boat, etc.... This is only my second book by Nicole Edwards so maybe that's not what her books are about. I think I'll treat her books as in-betweeners instead of a good meaty story....that still works fine by me! Excellent set up for the next book. I'm really interested in the dark and broody Luke and what his deal with Cole is.

Let me introduce you to Sam's inner sex fiend:

Eh, kind of bummed. Too much inner dialogue, so much business talk, and I'm still not even sure what Sam does for a living. Logan has no personality, and their jump from chaste boss/employee to raving sexual maniacs into menagerie was too fast and confusing. DNF-ing somewhere around 70%.

Can we say H.O.T!!

I tend to have slight reservations when starting a new book that I know is on the kinkier side, never sure if it will end up crossing lines I may or may not know I have. This one fell in that category after reading the blurb. Let me tell you, no lines were crossed and I found myself needing a cold shower on more than one occasion! (Sorry if thats TMI!) ;)

Sam (Samantha) is all about her work. She's been burned pretty bad romantically and has some major trust issues. Since her work is all she has, she becomes pretty damn good at whatever it is she actually does. ~ I'm still kinda confused on what her job actually is... Any wayyyy... She gets this awesome promotion and moves to Dallas. Her boss, Logan, is one hot, alpha, dominating hunk of man! swoon! There's an instant carnal attraction between the two and they find themselves trying to stay away from each other seeing as they work together in a boss/employee capacity. Yeah that lasts all of like a week! And let me just say, when these two get together, sparks fly! No they explode! Add in a sexy threesome with Logan's hunky twin (not as incestuous as I would have thought btw) and then an earth shattering four-some and DAMN this is one smokin hot read!

Oh and there's also the whole Sam's confused about her sexual 'deviousness' and whether she should be into all the kink or not... Blah blah blah get back to those hunky men who are all about your pleasure woman!!! Plus the HEA that I am all about and I have to say I liked this book a whole helluva lot more than I expected!

P.s. I wasn't sure if I would want to read the next in the series, but after this one, I need to know what happens with Luke!!!!!

Meet Samantha Kielty

Sam is a strong and independent business woman in the San Antonio office of XTX. Due to her hard work and excellent reputation she has caught the attention of Logan McCoy who works in the Dallas office and needs someone who fits her qualifications to come and work for him.

Meet Logan McCoy

They meet for the first time during a video conference call and instantly are attracted to each other. Soon after they begin working together the sexual tension becomes so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Soon Sam can’t say no to Logan’s advances anymore, says “Fuck it” and decides to take a chance and go for it with Logan. After some SEXY HOT SEX scenes between these two Logan decides to turn it up a notch.

Meet Luke McCoy

Sam struggles with this new sexual side that Logan has brought out of her.

“You're wrapping me around your little finger faster than you will ever know."

Logan eventually proves to Sam that what they have is very real and even adds a third guy to the sexcapades. It worked because he even convinced her to marry him.

"I will love you until my dying day, Sam."

This book was full of erotic sex scenes which I thoroughly enjoyed. I believe there is some unresolved sexual tension left over that I can’t wait to read about in the next book Temptation.

To all my smut-friends on GR, you HAVE to read this book! I'll admit, it took me a little while to get into the book BUT once Logan and Sam get together, watch out because sparks are flying! There's not a cold enough shower that could have cured my lust. If a guy like Logan really does exist, then someone please point him in my direction...I'll be forever grateful!

BE WARNED: What a scorcher!!! It was a nice change that the romance side of the book was so simple with Sam and Logan falling in love but with work and both being burnt by pass lovers, will they be able to fully trust one another? Minimal drama/angst but steam was off the charts burning.

Lord. Where to begin.

The single most important reason why I did not finish this book, too much detail. Usually, especially when an author is "world building" the detail is appreciated. However, this is not a paranormal/sci-fi romance. It is set in good old Texas, present day, for a very normal woman trying to navigate the corporate ladder and sleeping with the boss.

I'll share an example paragraph of the sort of detail you can expect. This is during their video conference/interview when they first see each other.

At this point, Samantha had only said a few sentences, but Logan couldn’t help but like her even more for the position. And Banten was right; she was going to be a tough sell. “I know the title may sound a little inflated, but I assure you, this is a key role in moving the company to the next level. As you know already, our sales teams are driving some of the highest revenue this company has ever seen. With that being said, we’re in need of some upgrades to our current systems, both our order management and our compensation systems that the sales teams utilize on a daily basis. This includes our software programs that supply our sales representatives with the most up to date product information, capture our sales as well as pay out our sales teams. The projects have been lined out, the budgets have been established, and now we need to work to get them underway. I have an extremely strict timeline in mind and need someone who can drive them to completion.”

The above section reminds me of English class exercises where we would be asked to "cut down" a paragraph to a more concise form. I'm just itching to take a marker and start slashing.

Dear Ms. Edwards, are you trying to write a romance novel or an anecdotal piece on "conversations in corporate America"? It felt very much like the author was trying to teach us how "offices" work.

The second most annoying thing about this book is the way it is told from both sides. This isn't usually a problem. However, this author decided that every scene needed both view points. So, after you read about a conversation from Logan's perspective, you then enjoy the "perk" of re-reading the same exact conversation from Samantha's perspective as well! It got irritating and I found myself simply skipping over the "repeat" paragraphs.

There was some chemistry between the two characters but I had to wade through so many extraneous details and repeated paragraphs to get to the "meat" of their relationship.

In the end, the book was too detailed (imagine that) and too drawn out in an effort to "tell the whole story". This book could have been cut down quite a bit with some respectable editing and less formal dialogue.

Holy baby Jesus in a manger!!! How hot is this???

Conviction, the first book in the Club Destiny series which I can tell is going to be one of my favourite, has Samantha Kielty relocating to Dallas from San Antonio. She meets her boss, Logan McCoy and it's instant sexual attraction!!! The chemistry between them is explosive.

"Logan couldn’t resist the temptation to kiss her. He wanted to taste her, to feel her. Her fingers slid up the back of his neck and into his hair, causing his body to harden more than he thought possible. He was in a constant state of arousal and had been since the first day he saw her in the office. He wanted desperately to see how responsive she would be to his touch. How she would react to him and how she would return the pleasure he could give her."

From then on, Logan and Sam explore their deepest, darkest fantasies which have a lot of kink. I'm actually impressed with the author for one, as many tend to stick with the good old-fashioned twosome. And if they were kinky, maybe with BDSM as a side-dish to the otherwise normal sex. But Nicole Edwards went far beyond that. Threesomes were all but common in Conviction and there even was a foursome included!! The sex was intense and hot and steamy and everything an erotica author should be proud of.

Characters-wise, I didn't really like Sam that much. In fact, I was grappling with four stars because of her. She was whiny, she overreacted at the tiniest of things. My relationship with her went on a downward spiral.

Logan however, was the epitome of masculine appeal. He's the typical alpha male, and how sexy is that!!

"He was unquestionably a dominating, controlling man, always had been. When it came to sex, those desires often came out in full force. With Sam, it was as if he needed to own her, to know she belonged to him and him only."

I love how he tries to tear down Sam's walls, and and I love how how he always reminds her to use the safe word if necessary. Logan's trying to get Sam to trust her, and that in itself, is a remarkable quality. He's a patient man.

"All of the things he longed to do to her, with her. They were on constant replay in his mind, contributing to his permanent hard on and making it harder than hell to control himself when she was around. Part of him worried what she would think, what she would do when he took control. As strong and independent as she was, he thought she might be challenged by him. But the way she gave herself over to him so easily made Logan believe it was something she needed."

Logan devoted himself throughout the book to pleasuring Sam. How sweet. sexy and romantic is that? He wouldn't do anything that he didn't think Samantha could handle. And that to me is the perfect man. The other characters weren't that detailed but Nicole Edwards wrote it so, that I could feel an instant, intense connection with them. Most of all, Luke and Cole.

And god, how incredibly erotic was that scene with Luke and Cole at the end? I want to know what happens with them in the next book, because if was anything like that, then I'm sure it would be fucking amazing.

Club Destiny was recommended by my forum friends.

So what did I think of it?
First let me talk about the language and I don’t mean cursing as I don’t have any issues with cursing – in fact I like cursing in a story as (for me) it makes the book and characters real. However, I sometimes wish that authors would not treat the women in these stories as if they were like little girls and giving the impression that they not sexual creatures –of course they are and just as much as men.

Sometimes the he man mentality becomes a bit frustrating and the idea that the man and his Mighty Dick might be too powerful or extreme for the lady. You get where I am coming from? The implication is that if he pushes her away from his Mighty Dick it might be one time too many! Right!

The chemistry between Sam and Logan is well written and the sex scenes are extremely hot. Nicole Edwards provides a well-balanced mix of story. Sex between Sam and Logan, sex between them and a third partner, and finally a foursome ( also featuring M/M sex).

I also like the way that the author took time at the beginning of the story introducing the business structure of XTX, Sam’s job and her move and then later to the partner company. Some readers might get a bit frustrated with this but I didn’t. This worked for me. Downside - what did the company actually do? She doesn’t provide us with an answer

Then we get to the nitty gritty of the story. What the book and series is about. Club Destiny - the sex club partly owned by Logan and his brother Luke. We don’t get there in this book but I assume this opens the doors to the Club in the continuing series.

Overall a good hot sexy story and I think this series shows real promise but if you don’t like stories about swinging and I suspect the introduction to BDSM then this book won’t be for you. Me? I am off to start book 2 Luke’s story.

This was really only about 2.5 stars for me, but I'll round it up as there were things I liked about it and I am a little curious about the next book. This book fails for me because in the end I really didn't like our heroine. She's so wishy washy and for someone supposed to be this high powered business type she has no backbone, jumps to far too many wrong conclusions, trusts no one, doesn't ever talk about what she's thinking/feeling, can't make up her mind about anything...I could go on and on. Sam frustrated me to no end and I really couldn't see anything appealing about her to intrigue a guy like Logan.

There are a lot of detail things lacking in this book for my taste, and the amount of repetitive phrases got on my nerves (especially when listening on audio). If I heard one more time about this important project that Sam was the head of without any details of what type of project it was, how it was going to grow the company, what she was supposedly doing on it, I was going to beat my head into a wall. But apparently she was the one person capable of "taking things to the next level" (totally over used phrase) in whatever company she was a part of.

I really don't know why I'm rating this at three stars other than that I'm curious to see if book 2 gets any better. This book really drove me nuts. Oh wait I know why...the sex was HOT! This is definitely a case of the erotica elements were really, really well done. The writing was solid there. It's just everything else that completely fell flat and failed for me.

Holy Cannoli, you guys were right! Nicole Edwards is now cemented in my go-to author list when I need to get 'in the mood'. Holy crap, this woman can write hot-ass, panty melting, kinky, threesomes and foursomes. Damn, Samantha was lucky, I wouldn't mind switching places with her at least once in my life. 3 guys all there to pleasure me? Well OK, you twisted my arm. ;) There was also some m-m which I usually don't get into but it was pretty fucking hot as a small part of  Conviction" target="_blank">Conviction , the first in the Club Destiny Series by Nicole Edwards .

Samantha is a 'project manager' for XTX corp and one of their most valuable employees. She is offered a job to move from her small San Antonio branch to Dallas for a higher profile VP position. Before taking the job, she has a video conference with her new boss-to-be, Logan McCoy, who happens to be hot as hell. They have an immediate attraction over the video conference, but know they can't act on it. But that doesn't stop them from wanting each other.
“Hi, I’m Samantha Kielty and apparently my body has a thing for yours.”

They worked together, and got to know each other before jumping into the sack, which is something I usually like. There were plenty of workplace scenes, but the author had a habit of telling what was going on instead of showing, and the beginning, especially, dragged a bit. But what drove me completely BONKERS was that we never found out what kinds of projects XTX manages. What do they do?

Logan...mmmmmm...Logan. Bossy, alpha, sexy, caring, sweet, smart, dominant and totally kinky. He loves to watch other guys, especially his identical twin brother, Luke, pleasure his woman, and is totally into threesomes and foursomes. He is completely secure in his sexual tastes, and doesn't really care what others say.
“Watching you sit on his face while he tongue fucks you makes my dick hard."

Samantha is a woman who has a very high powered job, likes to be in control, and has been burned. She wants what Logan is offering, but is scared and ashamed of that want. She also cares very much what others say.
"Say my name, Sam. When you come, I want you to know who it is fucking you," he groaned, pulling back one last time. "Damn it, Sam. fucking say it."

Sam just couldn't get over her doubts.
"What in the hell had come over her? She had to work with this man? She was a woman who liked to be in control, but aside from her initial exploration, she'd become completely submissive, letting his erotic words, and his demands, bring her higher and higher."

An office romance can piss off a lot of other people, and things got a bit dicey for the couple.
“You thought you could run. You thought you could convince yourself you didn’t want this. That this didn’t make your body burn.”

Conviction (Club Destiny 1) was Nicole Edward's first book, and the first in the Club Destiny series. So there was a good amount of world building (a bit too much) that I think will be gone in the next books in the series. I read the first Alluring Indulgence Series novel, Kaleb, before this, and I found them to be very similar.

Likes:

•Yummy, totally kinky, 3-way and 4-way sex.
•There was actually a good story to go with the sex.
•Logan is deliciously dominating.
•I actually liked reading about a possessive guy who likes watching his woman with others (as long as it's only her body and not her heart she shares). "All in the name of Sam's pleasure."
•The sex scenes were tastefully written without any overly flowery words (except 'velvet covered steel')
•I enjoyed the m-m, something I usually could give or take.

Dislikes:

•Not knowing what they actually do for a living.
•The author did a little too much telling instead of showing.
•It was a long book, which I usually like, but felt like it could have been edited and it would have helped the flow.

Rating: 4 stars, 5 Heat

Nicole Edward's books will be added to the top of my Books with Hot Sex and Great Stories list (which is my next to be updated). I absolutely see why so many of you recommended her as the go-to author for hot books. Mr. Ana was a VERRRRY happy man while I was reading this book. No question about it, I will read more from this series when I need a little libido boost. I hear they actually get much better as the series goes on. I look forward to it, but it appears as if the next book is more m-m, something I don't care enough about to read. So I'm not quite sure where to go from here.

Have you read the series? What are your thoughts?

“I don’t think I’m ready for this, Logan,” …
“I don’t think anyone is ready for this,” he responded.

True dat! *fans self*

Luckily, I was ready to throw myself into this series and embrace the smut, and Nicole Edwards didn’t let me down.

To be honest, I was expecting an all-out smut-fest with a little bit of romance thrown in at the end, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. The love story is a very strong part of the story, with real feelings developing before sex even enters the picture. Of course, there is an all-out smut-fest, but it doesn’t start until after some relationship development and lots of romance and deep and meaningful chats between them.

Logan and Sam meet when Sam is headhunted to transfer to her company’s head office, and her new boss is none other than Logan. With both of them being dedicated to their careers, there’s a lot of time in the book spent explaining their working situation, and the set up of the company. But from the moment they lay eyes on each other their sizzling attraction cannot be denied. The UST builds through meetings, lunches, and every-day interactions at the office, and as they get to know each other they discover that they genuinely like each other, and Logan makes his move.

“I want you, Sam. Only you. I’ll give up whatever else I have just to have a chance. Please give me a chance.”

I love how while this book is scorching hot, there’s also a lot of emotion in it as well. And Logan is really upfront with his feelings, and what he wants from Sam, and that was so refreshing!

“This is more than some weekend romp, and you know it as well as I do. If that was just sex to you, tell me now so I know what I’m getting myself into but if it wasn’t, just know that it wasn’t for me either. I want you, Sam, that’s a given. But I want all of you.”

Sam has huge trust issues, and there is a bit back and forth with Logan, but she can't deny what she feels for him, and is willing to take the chance and she soon falls just as hard for him as he has for her.

As she stared into the greenish brown depths of his eyes, Sam realized three things.
She wanted this man.
She needed this man.
She loved this man.

Now, about that smut-fest…

DAYUM! This book is all kinds of hot – that’s what we’re reading it for, right? It’s hot, it’s explicit, it’s dirty, and there’s lots of it. So yeah, the emotion is there, but the sex is a huge part of their relationship.

Logan needs control and a bit of kink in order to be satisfied, while Sam has never been exposed to sex like that. And when they come together, they both get to experience the ‘other’ side of sex. Logan finds that he enjoys being with Sam, just her, while Sam unleashes her inner wild slut and absolutely loves it!

Nicole Edwards doesn’t hold anything back when it comes to her love scenes, and in the middle of one particularly kinky encounter, I actually had a bit of a chuckle and thought ‘well, that’s not a line you read every day!’…

As their eyes met, Sam saw something she didn’t expect to see shining back at her. Those weren’t eyes of a man who had just made his woman get on her knees and suck him off, while, across the room, his twin brother had been blown by another man. No, these were the eyes of the man Sam had fallen in love with so many weeks ago.

I did think it was a little weird that when Logan decides to invite his twin brother along to join in the festivities, he doesn’t tell Sam, no, Luke just rocks up. And then when a fourth joins the party, again, it’s all a big surprise. But, Logan had asked Sam for her trust, and she had given it, so although I found it a little weird that he just decided they would have a three and foursome without talking to her about it first, Sam seemed pretty excited by the idea, so I was happy to go along with it as well.

I really liked Logan, and the introduction to Luke was great – he’s so dark and broody. I’m looking forward to his book next. I did, however, have a few issues with Sam. The beginning part of their relationship was fantastic! It was very functional, with lots of talking about their feelings, exploring each other, and figuring out how to be together. But then Sam had some moments of epic over-exaggeration and stupid behaviour. I wanted to smack her so many times. Of course it all works out in the end, but I was so annoyed with her and her constant running away rather than just talking to Logan, it did bring the book down for me a little bit. But Logan’s love and devotion to Sam is gorgeous, and was the definite highlight.

“She was temptation personified, a woman who completed him like no other. She was his soul mate, the one and only woman who would ever own him unconditionally.”

I enjoyed this book. It's been sitting on my kindle forever, and I'm glad I finally got to it. It’s pure hot, romantic escapism, and I’m excited to go on with the series.

3.5 stars.
