Tracy wrote: "Wildfire this series is soooo good. You should read it, don't let the covers fool you!"Right?! The covers are so cringey! I really enjoyed the books though, I flew through all 3 in about a week!
I noticed somebody else mentioned Bird Box, so my list so far consists of The Etched City, Gerald's Game, The Year of Our War and Uprooted
Finished Lord of the White Hell, Book 1, Pet Sematary (for a book club ugh I hated it, it was so boring but also insulting to people who have lost children I wanted to nope out of it so many times) and The 120 Days of Sodom and Other Writings - I thought I was prepared for this one, I was not
After weeding out books that don't meet the eligibility requirements, so far for January I have read the following: (why no graphic novels some of them are as long and compelling as books full of print)1.) The Greyfriar (Vampire Empire #1) a href> by Clay Griffith and Susan Griffith
2.) Louder Than Love (Love & Steel #1) by Jessica Topper
3.) The Rift Walker (Vampire Empire #2) By Clay and Susan Griffith
4.) Starry Night by Debbie Macomber
5.) The Secret Life of Violet Grant by Beatriz Williams
6.) Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber
7.) Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
8.) The Christmas Wish by Nora Roberts
9.) The Mapmaker's Children by Sarah McCoy
10.) The Aquarians by Gigi Brevard
11.) Evening Tryst by Shelley Munro
12.) Fire Watch by Connie Willis
13.) The Kingmakers (Vampire Empire #3) by Clay and Susan Griffith
14.) Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
In the last ten days or so, I've read Year One, Lumberjanes: Out of Time, Lumberjanes: Band Together, Lumberjanes: Sink or Swim, and Feedback!
The Girl BeforeI really liked the way this was told, even the konmari porn. I wish my rentals came with a handsome architect, though I could probably do without the mysterious deaths of the tenants.
Imagine the energy of David Tennant’s Doctor, the dark good looks of Johnny Depp in “Sleepy Hollow”, and Tom Hiddleson’s refined finesse and cheekbones playing Sherlock Holmes. (Cumberbatch is too alien here.) And his Watson is a plucky young woman with feminist leanings. Loved this!Jackaby
Last week's reading: Take the Lead, Outside the Lines, Scandal in Spring, and Bad for the Boss: A BWAM Office Romance.
Finished: River of Teeth (do yourself a favor read this book. it's a western, with hippos!), A Conspiracy in Belgravia, and The Widows of Malabar Hill
I finishedBeyond the Veil
Devil May Care
Darkest Before Dawn
Wings of Hope
Drowning In The Dark
Ties That Bind
(all from a great light urban fantasy series by Pippa Dacosta that I recommend)
And also,
Secrets of a Summer Night
and I've begun the glorious and also depressing (because it's almost over) reread of this series in preparation for the 10th and final book release!
Magic Bites
So far in January I've finished:The Untouchable Earl
The Proposal
The Heart of Valor
Hate to Want You
Wrong to Need You
Books read so far in 2018:The Dark Lady's Mask
Queens of the Conquest: England’s Medieval Queens
The Epic Crush of Genie Lo
Olivia Twist
A Line in the Dark
So far a good mix of history, historical fiction, urban fantasy, and murder.
Onyx Webb: Book One: Episodes 1, 2, 3 perhaps one of the stranger books I have read, very unique, I liked it. Looking forward to book 2.
This year I have read...Patient Zero
Ryland's Sacrifice
The Dragon Factory
The King of Plagues
The Elementals
Mansfield Park
Complicated
I really like this Joe Ledger series. The Elementals is creepy. Love Jane Austen, did not care for Mansfield Park. And I am always up for Kristen Ashley's alpha male books.
I will read just about anything
