Right?! The covers are so cringey! I really enjoyed the books though, I flew through all 3 in about a week!

nimrodiel | 21 comments After weeding out books that don't meet the eligibility requirements, so far for January I have read the following: (why no graphic novels some of them are as long and compelling as books full of print)

2.)
Louder Than Love (Love & Steel #1) by Jessica Topper
3.) The Rift Walker (Vampire Empire #2) By Clay and Susan Griffith
4.) Starry Night by Debbie Macomber
5.) The Secret Life of Violet Grant by Beatriz Williams
6.) Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber
7.) Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
8.) The Christmas Wish by Nora Roberts
9.) The Mapmaker's Children by Sarah McCoy
10.) The Aquarians by Gigi Brevard
11.) Evening Tryst by Shelley Munro
12.) Fire Watch by Connie Willis
13.) The Kingmakers (Vampire Empire #3) by Clay and Susan Griffith

message 184: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Te last Tudor by Phillipa Gregory

message 185: by Kate (new)

Kate Atonic (kateatonic) The Girl Before
I really liked the way this was told, even the konmari porn. I wish my rentals came with a handsome architect, though I could probably do without the mysterious deaths of the tenants.

message 186: by Kate (new)

Kate Atonic (kateatonic) Imagine the energy of David Tennant’s Doctor, the dark good looks of Johnny Depp in “Sleepy Hollow”, and Tom Hiddleson’s refined finesse and cheekbones playing Sherlock Holmes. (Cumberbatch is too alien here.) And his Watson is a plucky young woman with feminist leanings. Loved this!

Michele | 128 comments My books so far are -

The Dark Monk

All Systems Red

message 189: by Morwen (new)

message 190: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I finished
Beyond the Veil
Devil May Care
Darkest Before Dawn
Wings of Hope
Drowning In The Dark
Ties That Bind
(all from a great light urban fantasy series by Pippa Dacosta that I recommend)
And also,
Secrets of a Summer Night
and I've begun the glorious and also depressing (because it's almost over) reread of this series in preparation for the 10th and final book release!
Magic Bites

message 194: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (cozyuptocrime) | 46 comments Books read so far in 2018:

The Dark Lady's Mask
Queens of the Conquest: England’s Medieval Queens
The Epic Crush of Genie Lo
Olivia Twist
A Line in the Dark

So far a good mix of history, historical fiction, urban fantasy, and murder.

message 195: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (zodia81) | 107 comments Onyx Webb: Book One: Episodes 1, 2, 3 perhaps one of the stranger books I have read, very unique, I liked it. Looking forward to book 2.

message 197: by V (new)

V | 124 comments This year I have read...

Patient Zero
Ryland's Sacrifice
The Dragon Factory
The King of Plagues
The Elementals
Mansfield Park
Complicated

I really like this Joe Ledger series. The Elementals is creepy. Love Jane Austen, did not care for Mansfield Park. And I am always up for Kristen Ashley's alpha male books.

I will read just about anything
