A Duchess to Fight For A Historical Regency Romance Book by Abigail Agar A Duchess to Fight For: A Historical Regency Romance Book
Friends for years who vowed never to marry or get involved for fear that it would ruin the friendship they have. Neither wanting to let the other know how much they really cared for each other. Now with Louisa's season starting and looking for a husband, can she marry another? A wonderful story of a wonderful friendship blooming out between the two of them. The characters were wonderful and the story line. Twists and turns along the way made it a fun and exciting story. 5 stars

Renegade (Long, Tall Texans, #26) by Diana Palmer Renegade by Diana Palmer in hardcover
One of my favorites in the series. I really enjoyed how strong the characters were and how both were fighting their own demons from past experiences to come together, not only as lovers but as friends. I especially enjoyed the constant banter between them. It was humorous and brought out the true human side of all the characters. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was a lot of repeating dialogue and comments throughout the book. 4 stars

Finished "Falling For A Highlander" by Lydia Kendall on Kindle. Ewan and Isla grew up together and were promised by mother mothers that would be married. As they grew up they came to truly love one another. Until Isla's father decided to keep his alliance with the British, he will marry her off to someone else. Now it is a race against time to keep her from marrying. This was a fun, quick book to read. Story of love, romance, family, betrayal and forgiveness.

The Forgotten Heiress (The Heiress Games #3) by Kristin Wallace The Forgotten Heiress
Bailey Tennant is the third heiress to Victoria Armington's fortune. Her mother was cut out from the family when she married beneath her, a musician. Now Bailey is joined by Eve Bennett, Serena Armington and her half sister, Abby. Jackson Stone is the third friend and famous musician of Cameron who has asked them to come and help him with this contest with the three in the competition. He hasn't written, played or sang anything since he watched his finance' die in a fire. Bailey has her own baggage after being on the road with her father and the musician she thought loved her who took her heart, soul and all the music she wrote with him. She has no trust in men and Jackson can't give up his guilt and love for a ghost. I have absolutely loved this series and how it was written. The whole story was told in the first book except for the very ending. Each book depicts the four main female characters and the 3 men they fell in love with. I sort of figured out the ending, but didn't have it completely. I am so sad to see this story end. I just loved it and was honored to have read these books for Kristen. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. BRAVO Kristin Wallace!

Between the Raindrops by Sydney Logan Between the Raindrops on Kindle
Scout is 17 and watches her junkie mother being hauled off to jail after buying from an undercover cop and tried selling her daughter for a bag of meth. Scout lost her dad years prior and has watched her mother go down the horrible path of addiction. Scout is sent to live with an uncle who is a dealer and beats her. Wyatt is the only one she can truly trust and be honest with. He falls for her and she finds hope and some peace with him and his family. This story is very emotional, heartfelt and educational. It's of family, abuse, distrust, drug addiction, love and letting go and moving on. Scout is the hero in this book. This was a very emotional story for me being a grateful recovering alcoholic for over years. This book is very honest and believable with very strong and well defined characters. A fantastic book for anyone. To the author I say, "Bless You."

Loved by the Viscount (Happily Ever After, #5) by Ellie St. Clair Loved by the Viscount by Ellie St. Clair on Kindle
This is a very engaging and captivating story by Ellie St. Clair. The characters are very well defined and strong. Both Rosalind and Viscount William Southam have their problems and carry their own baggage. Despite all the problems and trials they have, between their pasts, their families and financial situations, they get through them together and their romance grows. The plot had many twists and turns. The other characters were good and evil and I was happy to see they got their comeuppance.
A very enjoyable story. 5 stars
