Summer Love by RaShelle Workman writing as Olivia Love on Kindle
Typical "Fairy Tale" story because it is so fantasy and un realistic. Starts with a summer fling. He leaves without a word or trace. She finds herself pregnant and has a daughter. She has the love and support of her mother and sisters. She finds out she has spinal cancer. Out of the blue he shows up declaring his undying love for her. She tells him he has a daughter. He says she is lying because he was told long ago his chances were very slim of having children. She gets drunk and sends him photo's of their daughter with remarks. Next day he shows up and become instant daddy and wants to marry her no matter what the future holds. Ending is so predictable. It was a short book. 3 stars

I finished listening to Jagged by Kristen Ashley, Colorado Mountain #5, and liked it a lot but didn’t love it like I have the others in the series. Still good, though. Here’s my review.

Earl of Wainthorpe by Collette Cameron on Kindle
What a wonderful book! The book truly kept my interest and the secrets of both of the main characters and their lives that came out in the end was great. The characters were strong and well defined. Bianca is a strong willed, determined woman who has had a hard life. Pierce's reputation as a rogue is quickly changed once meeting Bianca. The two characters bring out the best in each other. The only thing I didn't care about was the way the author used such big, dramatic words in her descriptions in the dialogue. I would have liked more "gut" dialogue. It is a read on it's own book, but I would like to read the others now. 4 stars

The Witching Hour by Nora Roberts in paperback
Another wonderful, fun short story by Nora Roberts. Filled with magic, love, romance, and family villains. It kept me so very interested even thought the ending was predictable. A wonderful fantasy under a veil of cold, ice and snow. 5 stars

Winter Rose by Nora Roberts in paperback
Another wonderful short story by Nora Roberts. A queen who's land has been frozen by her vengeful aunt years ago finds a wounded soldier in her frozen forest. True, sincere love is what is needed to thaw hearts and her land. A story filled with love, romance, determination and magic. 5 stars

A World Apart by Nora Roberts in paperback
A good short story by Nora Roberts. Filled with romance, magic, good guys, bad guys, sorceresses and demons, and humor. Kendra is thrown into another portal to slay the evil Bok and lands, literally, on Hunter who was chosen to be her helper. Harper is living in today's world and finds it hard to accept this attractive pixy who can kick anyone's ass. I really enjoyed how the two worlds come together and how Kendra learns all about Hunter's world. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars is Hunters dialogue. He spoke sometimes more like out of a historical romance novel than a PI from New York. Other than that, I really enjoyed the whole story line and great characters. 4 stars

I am about halfway through Witness in Death, about a 1/3 through The Dragon Blood Collection, Books 1-3. First book in the three was awesome! I read another chapter in my John Wayne biography. hmmm oh and I am reading Spirits, Stilettos and a Silver Bustier

I DNF'd Bellamy and The Brute, the very beginning showed progress, then I just couldn't do it. Maybe later on in the future I will try again. But Bell was a Junior in High School, so not in the mood for that at the moment.
I DNF'd another book and for the life of me I can't remember what it was. Anyway..that is where i am at.

Reflections by Nora Roberts in paperback
An earlier book of the author. How far she has come. A shorter story of a prima ballerina called home from her life and career following an accident that took her father and severely injured her mother. Now caring for her mother Lindsey opens a ballet studio in her home town. Suddenly she finds herself in a rainstorm almost run over and falling in a puddle. Hovering over her is a rude, handsome man, Seth. Finding out soon that he the guardian and uncle of a soon to be remarkable ballerina. There back and forth romance got a bit old to me. I found Seth domineering, egotistic, rude and doctorial. "My way or no way." For a professional I found Lindsey very mousy. This would have been a much better story if had been put in a full novel. It felt choppy, skipping over periods of time. The ending was predictable. I would still recommend the story as it was a fast, sweet romance. 3 stars

A continuation of Dreams. Ruth is a prima ballerina in a very exclusive company of the ballet. Nick has been her mentor, coach, friend and enemy for years. Ruth is very strong willed, strong tempered and independent but has a true love for her art and the ballet. Nick is a Russian dancer, very handsome, strong, temperamental and a great teacher and mentor. As their attraction rises for each other, so do tempers, struggles and passion. I really loved this book. It was one I had a hard time putting down. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't know ballet and had no idea of all these poses, positions and steps. 4 steps

He's a Duke, But I Love Him: A Historical Regency Romance by Ellie St. Clair on Kindle
A very entertaining read. Olivia has many interests and dreams and would rather work on numbers, ledgers and read then sit with the woman gossiping and doing needlework. She is writing in the local register under a different name giving financial advice. She gets bored easily and decides to dresses up and disguises herself to go and gamble. Alastair Finchley is thrust into the role of Duke of Breckenridge recognizes her from a previous encounter at a ball. He is quite interested in her gumption. When they meet again at another ball in a theater, he whisks her up in the box seats and kisses her and fondles her. Her mother catches them and now with her being shamed, they decide to marry, which neither one are at all interested in. Olivia is so spunky, independent, intelligent and strong willed. The combination of the two in this marriage is fun, humorous at times and romantic. Of course the ending is predictable, but it was fun getting there. 5 stars

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed Ilona Andrews. After looking at some of your comments and reviews I have found a new author to enjoy. I normally don't do paranormal shapeshifting genre's (except when Nora has it in her books) so I was really surprised to thoroughly enjoy the 2 that I have read in the past couple of days.
