Wow I'm trying to find my latest post and have been scrolling through pages of messages. Is there an easier way I can find what I posted most recently.

If you can remember some of what you wrote in them, you can search for your post in the little box to the right. (I don't think this is a feature in the app.)
I don't post that much, so I usually just search for my name, and my posts pop up. (It was easier before there was another Felicia in the group ;) )

If it's a specific post you have to find more times, you can just memorize or write down the message number. There are 50 posts on each side, so if you're looking for post nr. 268 (which is this one), you will know to look on page 6.

Thanks Felicia - I will use the number of my last post. For me, the problem these days is that hardly ever use my large computer. We had to put my computer and Bruce's in his office and I'm not that comfortable there so I rely on my IPAD or even cell phone.

Just cleared out another ebook - Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterley. I am conflicted about this book, so I'm going to separate my review into three categories. For content, this book is amazing. The women discussed in the book were groundbreaking not only for their race but also their gender. For research, this book is well-founded and appears thoroughly vetted. For writing, the author was not up to the task of her research or subjects. Her writing is boring, repetitive, and not cohesive. The timeline she uses is non-linear and leads to her characters being confused between time and space within the narrative. And her forays into the greatness of math and NASA detracts for her characters themselves. The only reason my rating is as high as three stars was for the amazing women the book discusses. The writing alone would be 1.5 stars. Overall, not worth reading. 2.5 stars

Didn't read the book, but I loved the movie...the women and their story are amazing, as you say, and they are portrayed by talented actresses. Guess I can skip reading the book, based on your review :-)

Just cleared another ebook - Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Once again, I've been sucked into another amazing Maas universe! Her characters are interesting and complex, particularly her main character Celaena. Maas is a wonderful storyteller, in that she doesn't hit you with the particulars of her universe all at one time, but allows the world to unfold naturally through the story. And she doesn't hold back important bits to frustrate the reader. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

As I indicated in a previous post, I decided to donate books which my local library and I both own. I gave away 134 books in the first 2 weeks of this month. I've also carted 15 bags of books to my mother's shelves. I still have 20 or so bags of books to bring to my mother, but am doing so slowly as to avoid overwhelming her.

In the meantime, I've read 5 physical books from my shelves and my husband has read 3. I have 195 more books that I want to read this year. At my usual speed that will not happen in the next 11 months, but I will definitely put a dent in that number.

Just cleared another ebook - The Dead Duke, His Secret Wife, and the Missing Corpse: An Extraordinary Edwardian Case of Deception and Intrigue by Piu Marie Eatwell. For nonfiction, this book was quite entertaining. I found the writing clear and concise. The story was related in a narrative fashion. The content appeared quite well-researched. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars

Just completed another physical book - The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor. Overall, this was an easy, suspenseful read. Kept me guessing in parts. The writing is clear and straightforward. The characters have nice bits of complexity. Overall, an entertaining murder mystery. Worth reading. I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest opinion. 4 stars
