Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all.I will try and get back and use the group more next year as I have miss you all.
I've come up to the computer for 5 mins to escape some very excited children, even the 17 year old! Thanks to all in the group who have enhanced my reading experience in the last couple of months! Have a great Christmas one and all and happy reading!

I keep wearing my wellies. My daughter mocked whilst going to the cinema but it was pouring when we came out. They are a nice daisy pattern too.
Anyone know when estate agents are back in work? I need to buy a house and can't get in to view a new one when they're closed! Plus I'm back at work soon and won't be able to view! Where's that grumpy thread...
Why don't you just go and knock on the door one evening, ask to look around and take them a box of chocolates for their trouble.Might even save you estate agents fees (unless of course its view by appointment only then just ignore me)

Everyone seems to be moving - wonder if there an old library available for Lynne. It's the only place that could take all her books!!

That would be a great place to live! I'm viewing two tomorrow. Quite exciting, although someone else wants a second viewing of my favourite.

I am, off Didsbury Road. Offer accepted, fingers crossed. Can't wait to get away from the nuisances here. Hoping there won't be any there!

It is, technically I'll be Heaton Norris, but only 10mins from Didsbury. Could all fall through mind. Selling mine back to housing for good profit.

Everything crossed, hope the move goes ahead smoothly :)

Moved on the 27th, set up my tv and digital box that records tv. Virgin man came 28th, used aerial socket for modem and now I'm stuck with 8 channels. Not many good ones either, no BBC of any description, film 4, itv; plus existing channels have interference. Have rang them every day and have just been told (again) they'll ring back in 48 hours. Choose I'm back in work then so guessing I'll have no tv til whit, so cross!
Hope you've suspended your DD.....try e-mailing their customer services threatening to move to Sky. Have to admit I was with Virgin several years ago and they were unreliable.....much prefer Sky.
But anyway H., other than that glitch, how's the new home?

Tv isn't under their remit sadly. Just my nicked aerial socket! Have a plumbing problem in the kitchen but otherwise I really like it. Back in work tomorrow, getting a lie in of 25 mins and will be at work 15 mins earlier.
I know, was almost hour and half for 15 minute ride. Left house 7.35 today walked to Stockport, on bus and at work 8.10. Fab. Plumber coming tomorrow too. You'll have to visit.
Won't be able to visit H as much weaker and do very little driving now and even then limited to shorter distances......prob have to give up completely after this summer. Hope the plumber and Virgin sort you out.....sounds like a DHL novel lol.
I will be off to Devon soon - if all goes through ok by the end of May. Sadly didn't get a converted library or a chapel (see above post) but have a lovely 3 storey end terrace that goes down and not up, which used to have small B&B on the ground floor. So excited!
