OH only just got to the airport in time. He did allow 4 hours so it was a good job as there was an accident around Cardiff and the M4 was jammed for miles. He’s got there safe and sound anyway and all OK at the house. The dogs are looking for him and it’s starting to get annoying. I hope they settle soon.

My friends present was a cheese advent calendar, not had any advent calendar for years so mega excited!
Saw in the news that Greggs is doing an advent calendar. Something about a sausage roll Jesus.Good morning!
Another news story...Apparently, tesco is putting a Christmas pop up store in the Hobbiton set in New Zealand.
There's an unexpected item in the Baggins area.

There should be a law against jokes like that.
Morning all, lots of grumpy cats today. Hopefully an easy day, then calling at the vets to pick up the paperwork for our new campaign, before making fajitas for tea
Morning. Bright and sunny with a strong chance of a large annoying fly getting in through the tiny gap I've made by opening the bedroom window slightly.
Morning all!One of our cats didn't turn up for breakfast, which is very unlike him. I'm trying not to worry too much - he may have taken refuge under the bath again
Morning everyone.Today I'll discover whether my car is terminally sick - just a weird ticking noise when the ignition is tried and the repair cost may not be worth it. Ho hum.
Hope you find your cat, Benjamin.
Morning, each! Raspberries planted yesterday. Today it's the Ladies Lunch, and this evening it's the village Book Group.
Finished antibiotics last night, quite achy today though, and still coughing a lot, quite breathless too, plus sneezing. Hope the cat is back now Benjamin. Hope the car is OK Elizabeth
No sign yet, alas :( hopefully dinner will bring him from wherever he's hiding. That flu has certainly stuck around, Desley - really hope you feel better soon.
I'm sorry your cat is missing, Benjamin. That must be a big worry.I went into a panic the other night because the chinchilla seemed to be missing (she lives under the bed in the spare room), and I thought she must have gotten behind the furniture as she did once. Found her without having to move it all - great feeling of relief.
Do hope he came back for dinner.Feeling worse now and running a temp, popped in the vet, they said it sounded like I had laryngitis! Another girl at work has been off sick, and neighbour is sneezing, so think it will linger
Fingers crossed your cat came back for dinner Benjamin. I hadn't heard about the fire at the Metro until you mentioned it and then it popped up in my news feed.
Morning all, woke up at 6am with an upset tummy and twingy eye. Bank card arrived yesterday, just waiting for the PIN. Hope cat is home safe now Benjamin
Thanks, everyone! He finally turned up this morning to whine for his breakfast, the reprobate. He doesn't normally go outside for long, or I wouldn't have been so worried.

Pleased about the cat! It's a worry. Flower arranging this afternoon and some advance cooking for tomorrow when friends are arriving for lunch.
Tired thinking about it!
Well, my horoscope said that whatever I do today would be fraught with problems, and it is right so far – woke up at 6 with an upset tummy and a twingy eye, then got annoyed by the neighbours dog. Set off at the same time as usual, but traffic was horrendous for no good reason, so was late, then computer decided it needed to do updates, so spent half an hour waiting for it to do that!! Plus have had issues with our database all morning. Bank card won’t let me use it online though, so will have to ring the bank again!! Was very wet this morning, sun shining, although still a bit of grey skies. Glad cat was back for his breakfast Benjamin.
Oh dear, Desley, sounds like a rotten start to the day. Hope the afternoon goes better!I'm stuck in a position where I need senior management to approve things, and senior management are not in.
Don't even talk to me about ineffective senior management. The stories I could tell.Rather exhausting day. There's a great many high maintenance boys in the class I covered today and will be covering again tomorrow. They're lovely but, man, can't relax for a minute.
Just had a yummy dinner of steak wraps with a couple cheeky glasses of icy white wine.
My outlook is improving.
My bacon sandwich was ruined by mouldy bread. And I even checked beforehand and didn't see it Grrrrrr. Oh well, grocery delivery tomorrow.

Never mind. You won't need a flu shot.
Benjamin wrote: "Wine is a remarkable cure, I find."You got that right.
Has made me rather sleepy, though. Perhaps a third will wake me up.

Only one way to find out...

Was woken at around 9:30 by a strange man galumphing through my house.Fortunately, the husband had been up for about 5 minutes, and the window replacer (for that is who it was) reached him on the phone, and I woke up in time to keep them (yeah, both of them) from putting the replacement window in the wrong room. Sheesh.
Evening all.Car problem was terminal - but fortunately only as in battery terminals (dead as a dodo).
Spent the whole day thinking it was Friday thanks to not noticing that my 'new' mobile must have been running a day in front for about two months. Duh! The bright(?) side is that I'm not as behind with the tidying up and housework as I thought, so the scion of the house will still believe his APs are maintaining standards when he visits on Saturday...
Oh dear GL! Glad wine is helping Patti. Typical men Elizabeth, sorry about the car.Afternoon went a bit better, except for a lack of motivation. Then did too much, thinking I was better, now very drained, hoping something to eat and drink will help. At least I have a working bank card again
Morning all. Still dark out there.Just saw this on Twitter and it made me smile -
Synonym (noun). The word you use instead of the one you can't spell.
Morning all, woke up with a yucky throat. Hectic morning followed by a meeting. Need to pop to the chemist after work, then start the housework. That does sound nice Patti.
Good morning all. Just had a lovely full English. Yum. Cold but bright out there. It's going to be a fabulous day, I think.
Morning. First exam over, time for my brain to recover from its current fragile state before I go down to the Durham lumiere this evening! Glad your cat reappeared Benjamin.
Thanks, Claire, and good luck with the crowds - I remember lumiere being police-controlled last time I went!
Too late for morning, I’ve been busy. Took both dogs out together as the relays were wearing. Good fun. Big dog decided he didn’t like his head collar thing today. It’s a posh Halti type arrangement. What with his harness, special lead and head collar he’s like a small stallion on his walks. By the time I got him dressed the other little madam had slipped her collar and lead off completely. Start again, I was worn out and sweating before I got down the drive. He decided to lie on the pavement on his back and try to paw his nose out of the headcollar. He was like a limpet to get up and get going. He was more mule than stallion. I’m now limping, not from walking, but I had to shift the car ready for OH coming back and in the few minutes I was outside, the little bugger got his revenge and chewed my Skechers.
