Morning everyone. The Scion of the House fetched up yesterday afternoon (this was his 'mid-to-late morning') but all was forgiven on receipt of a lovely card and a bag full of assorted delights from Patisserie Valerie.
So sorry to hear about Dave's mum, Patti.
Morning all. Seems that 2018 is the first year that more than half the world's population is online! Report makes interesting reading . . .https://wearesocial.com/blog/2018/01/...
I saw Country File, leapt up and said, 'My friend Rosie lives there!' We then had the usual conversation about real friends and imaginary (internet) friends. I contest that you're all real.Of to buy wool!
I am but a configuration file in the program of life. Now, if only I could find the file editor . . .
Patti is real because I've seen her. In Cardiff. The rest of you are just figments of my imagination.Good Morning. It's wet. Today I have work all day. Mum is at home and one of her friends is visiting. We have two appointments later this week for a scan and then chemo.
Sorry to read about Dave's mum Patti.
If I ever see any of you in the flesh, miracles will have happened. However, since it is possible to Skype or equivalent with internet people, should one desire to do that, you're all real. I'm not that inventive.
World wide wet Monday, it seems.Well, the U.K. And Azerbaijan, anyway.
Absolutely miserable here.
Thanks for all the recent condolences. Dave's fine. His father seems to be holding up so far.
Just caught up on the posts.Patti, so sorry to hear about Dave's mum. Sending condolences to you all. x
Emma, your dress is gorgeous.
No travelling until Sunday. Yee hah.
Well I've spent time with Jim. Mind you, I'm not sure if he's real or just a necessary construct from my imagination. Wonder what Jim thinks he is?

Glad Dave and his dad seem to be holding up fine Patti. Not sure I'm imaginative enough to make some of you up, although a lot of you are authors!!

the jury is still out ;-)
(Metaphorically I hasten to stress)
Oh, talking about imagination, I've launched a competition. In one of the Tallis Steelyard blogs he recounts how a tower disappeared. Yet it's entirely possible that are other explanations.Provide an explanation, it need merely be a paragraph, and the best explanation is awarded a hard copy of Lambent Dreams (or as some insist, a limp copy of it)
But anyway if you go to

you'll see what I'm wittering on about

Which is generally true but really depends upon who is looking ;-)

Fuuny that... we must have the same fantasies. I could have sworn the three of us had a group hug at one point.

In the middle of March after having a couple of days in the high teens?
Yeah, I'm gonna have to swear.

That was reality.

Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy ;-)
