Thank you for telling me, Cleo. (((((Cleo)))))))))

Writing a review for a book you really like is difficult. You want to do the book justice. Also you know that just because you like it yourself, others may not--you have to explain why! On the other hand when you are going to write a review for a book that is bad you feel the need to warn others, and a book to which you are indifferent it can be hard to find anything at all to say. BUT if you skip writing a review, many books just fizzle away and you do not even remember them years later.

We'll hold your place, Nichole! You take it as easy as you can while you're doing good things for your mother.

PattyMacDotComma Does My Head Look Big in This? is a Young Adult book that I'd be happy to recommend even for some pre-teens. Aussie author Randa Abdel-Fattah writes about an Aussie Muslim teenager wanting to wear a hijab to school in spite of her parents' worries. YIKES!

bookswithpaulette I have recently found a new favorite author - Kristin Hannah. The first book I read of hers earlier in the month - The Nightingale, wow what a book it was amazing. Since then I have read Winter's Garden which I also enjoyed..... next on my list is The Great Alone.

I really enjoy her writing, she transports the reader into her books, she creates these vivid images in my mind of the surroundings and her characters wow.... the empowered women in her novels I'm captivated, looking forward to the next book

PattyMacDotComma Bond. James Bond. Need I say more? Good prequel to the famous Ian Fleming spy series.

At the request of the Fleming estate, Horowitz wrote Forever and a Day to introduce us to 007 and the woman who explains why she orders martinis "shaken, not stirred."
Forever and a Day by Anthony Horowitz A solid 4★. Link to my review
