PattyMacDotComma Henrik Ibsen nailed the child bride syndrome way back in 1879 in his famous play A Doll's House. Hard not to be infuriated, but the situation continues today.

Huh, I liked that one a whole lot. People do react differently. That is the problem, one never quite knows how one will react to a book despite how others react. Each person is unique.

So you had trouble with the parts in Denmark!

I've decided to finsh the Immigrants Series by Howard Fast, so I've recently ended the fourth, The Legacy.
I do admit it's not high literature, still I like the way it's written and some lines are superb!
Have a look at my review, if interested:

Petra | 3324 comments I've just finished reading a very touching story: Hana's Suitcase: A True Story,
It was wonderful to read how this young girl's story was discovered, grew and was picked up by the World. I read the Anniversary edition, which contained a section on the quilts, poems, letters, artwork that were inspired by Hanna's story and testimonials on how her story is touching people.

Thank you, Jean! You posted this book and brought it to my attention. I'm so glad you did.

Maja - BibliophiliaDK ✨ (bibliophiliadk) | 96 comments Another Woman's Husband Another Woman's Husband by Gill Paul has been one of the most surprising books for me this year - I picked it up because I liked that it was about two women, I don't know a lot about (Wallis Simpson and Princess Diana), but I was also sceptic because I had a hard time seeing, how these two women could share the same book.

PattyMacDotComma Bone Lines by Stephanie Bretherton has an intriguing title, beautiful cover, and interesting premise - how to connect today's researcher (Eloise) with "Sarah's" ancient bones. I wish it had been better executed.
Bone Lines by Stephanie Bretherton Link to what I found disappointing
