Of course I knew I'd enjoy a trip to Botswana with Alexander McCall Smith's Mma Ramotswe and her No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Morality for Beautiful Girls is the third enjoyable book, and there are more!

I read The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. A magical fantasy set in 14thC Russia with elements of folk and fairy tales. I enjoyed it but I don't think I was quite as thrilled with it as many others seem to have been.

Like Amalia above, I read a similar children's book about a strong girl. Greta Thunberg has inspired people all over the world. Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara has told her story here for children, all of whom should know about her. . . and so should their parents!
