Or the most buttock-clenching (except for you know who!) where the unfortunate All About Eve were left sitting like idiots while their song played due to a technical screw-up.

Fishy_Jim | 1287 comments I notice that some people have multiple entries here. I've always waited until my latest theme has gone through before I made my next suggestion. Now it looks like I'd have to wait months for a new one to come up. Brass Neck has seven themes on the list, two pairs of them are back to back.

And? All's I'm doing is keeping the churn rate up. If you want to stick one (or more) in before mine and renumber I assure you neither a stuff, bugger nor a f*** will be given by me.

That used to be the way when there was group stages requiring one nom per person. But since the group system was done away with, folks can nominate a theme when they wish, ideally leaving a few gaps between noms, but one or two nominators have done double noms. You could put a new theme in between those if you wish Jim. At the end of the day, as long as there are new themes being added, that's fine by me!

I was aiming for comic effect not umbrage, so easy to take text the wrong way? Please go ahead and squeeze in, what matters is not running out of themes and having what I hope are stimulating ones.

Funnily enough, it wasn't the two expletives (only one asterisked?) that made me think you were seriously put out, but the opening 'And?' that screamed passive aggressive.
I'll drop something in when I've come up with a good one.
P.S. Like the Priti Patel reference. She is common as muck, isn't she?

Lez | 7490 comments I really wanted to nom for the 'Songbird' theme but it appears at 302, 303, 305, and 306 and so I don't know where to start.

We're on unaccompanied intros (303 on Helen's previous update), which means it's the one after the next one up; 'Gee Whizzed' and then songbirds.

Yes, what Tim said. We are currently on theme 303 & "Songbirds" is now at number 305, which means nominations for it should should start on Sunday 20th/ Monday 21st June. Hope that's helpful, Lez.

message 741: by theDuke (last edited Jun 07, 2021 08:11AM) (new)

theDuke | 6491 comments Heya Lez.....there was some shuffling about of the order a while back, you're right, my songbird theme was originally Theme 303, but then i noticed there were two 291s a while back, which i corrected, thus bumped everything after them up one, so mine became 304. And i recall suggesting to Fishy Jim months ago that he could insert a new theme between any double nominations left by others, when he was querying these double noms, and he did. Jim inserted his Unaccompanied intros – songs which start with just vocals, between two of Brass Neck noms, thus became Theme 303...which we're running this week. So, every theme after that was bumped up a number again! So my Songbird Songbook theme is now 305, which comes up in a couple weeks time!

Sorry for any confusion! :)

Just follow the most recent postings.....as it can be rather tricky to keep track of what was done where! :)
