I was undecided between Storm Front and Sandman Slim, (having received good opinions for both of them from YLTO readers), then I took a peek in The School for Good and Evil, and I maked the mistake of read more than 30 pages... And I ´ve been hooked. The book is not that good so far, is more OK plus, but I have this character defect, I m like a cocodrile, when I bite my prey I cannot let go, my jaws clench tight:-))
I'm reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because, well, I bought new mass market paperback editins with beautiful UK covers and thought that I should read it(I haven't touched any of the books from HP series for 5 years or so) and it's so good to come back...

I'm about a quarter into Voyager, and these books are so much fun and so addictive! I feel sad just thinking that someday I will have read them all.
I finished Cress yesterday (enjoyed very much), and will start my Madame Tutti Fruiti read, 20th Century Ghosts sometime today.
Janice wrote: "I finished Cress yesterday (enjoyed very much), ."Overdrive just sent me notification that is was mine to donwload. I probably will start it today as it seems that falling asleep while listening to Horns is not the best idea. My subconscious scares me sometimes,
I just finished Dog On It, by Spencer Quinn. It is a series, apparently :) has anyone else read this series? The dog, Chet, is the narrator and I found the first book to be a light and easy read. I will most likely read more in the series, mostly because I love any book that had a dog in it :)
The School of Good and Evil turned to be a surprisingly good book. Almost in the humor-style from "Shrek". I m in the middle of the book and enjoying it
I started The Second Chance Dog, A Love Story by Jon Katz, last night. I really need to stop picking up random books at the library and read more off my TBR shelf :) this book may take me awhile to finish as it is not interesting at all so far :(
I finished Cutting for Stone which knocks off one more chunkster, and it completes my ATW challenge started in 2012. FINALLY! I'm so glad to have that challenge done.Next up - Horns for the group themed read. I'll have two Joe Hill books on the go.

Woohoo! Glad you've finished your ATW and that you'll be joining us for Horns - loving it!
I just finished Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. I found some stories funny, but the whole book was a little tiresome. I'm still working on Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier, and is being a great reading.
Finished This is Where I Leave You. Certainly nothing to write home about. Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

WOOHOOO! It's nice to tick that box as complete, isn't it!
Just finished and really enjoyed The Children Act
My Review;www.goodreads.com/review/show/1070427019
I finally finished Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch and am currently reading Hexed for the Buddy Read and Harry Heathcote of Gangoil for my AtW Australia challenge. I think I am going to start The Thirteenth Tale for MTF challenge next and The Day of the Triffids for the Group Read later in the month. I am not excited to start American Gods for my next Chunkster challenge yet.
Sandra wrote: "Cherie, The Thirteenth Tale is a great novel. I couldn't put it down!"Glad to hear, Sandra. I have been looking forward to reading this for a long time. :)

Thank you so much Cherie. :-)
Has anyone read Pines by Blake Crouch? I'm reading it now and I really need someone I can talk to about it!
I finished The Lie for Madame Tutti Fruiti's October challenge. I gave it 4 stars because I enjoyed it a lot but it wasn't quite as engaging as some of the other World War One fiction that I have read and I found it a bit slow in parts. I would still recommend it though, particularly if you are interested in the psychological impact the war had on soldiers after they returned home.Next up for me is Horrorstör which is for this month's Halloween theme read.
@Roz, I'm really enjoying it, but I'm so confused! Mainly about (view spoiler) How is that even possible?!I think that (view spoiler) but I just don't know for sure yet! That has to be what was about to happen when (view spoiler)
Oh! And when Ethan encounters (view spoiler)
I just have so many theories and questions! lol

It will all be explained in the end. Keep reading. :)
Does it end on a cliffhanger? If it does I'm pretty sure I'm going to completely blow my first challenge I accepted with this group (Madame Tutti Fruiti).
There are 3 books in the series: Pines, Wayward and The Last Town. You really need to read all 3 to get the full effect (just my opinion).
KimeyDiann wrote: "Does it end on a cliffhanger? There is a conclusion for what has happened to that point. But you know that there's more to the story. I have my own theories about the conclusion, which I will find out when I read the next two books.
It's a quick read... hang in there. I think it's intentional that the reader feels anxious, just like the main character.
Roz wrote: "There are 3 books in the series: Pines, Wayward and The Last Town. You really need to read all 3 to get the full effect (just my opinion)."Ok I'm intrigued enough - I'm putting these three on my TBR list.
I finished Horns for the group read which was fantastic. Now I'm on to a chunkster with Ghost Story. I know it was a group read October last year so I might have to read through the posts as I read.
I am struggling through The Room of Lost Things and OCD Love Story. And started The Woman in White for the group read.
Well, I finished Pines last night. My theories were all COMPLETELY wrong! LOL. I would never have guessed the truth in a hundred years. (view spoiler) I really enjoyed Pines and will be continuing the series. It wasn't a cliffhanger ending, but I definitely need to know what happens next. But, I think I can wait until I finish up the books I've already committed to for this month.
Travis of NNY wrote: "Just started 'Salem's Lot"Let me know what you think! I have it on my kindle waiting.

LOL! I'm glad you finished it. Your observations were similar to mine. I'm not sure when I'll get to book 2 as I have other reads lined up first.
While I wouldn't say it's a necessary prerequisite Sarah but I do think its an added bonus if you're familiar with the original Bram Stoker's Dracula before reading Salem's Lot. It does make it interesting how King adapted the original . that being said I didn't particularly care for Dracula but have not regretted reading it just for being able to recognize when its referenced other places I wouldn't actually recommend Dracula on the basis of it being a good book. Its OK at best I suppose
Dracula has been on my list for years but given my aversion to Classics, that's where it's stayed. Seen the film - is that good enough? ;-)
I've never seen the film of which there's probably been about 100 made by now anyway so I don't know. But like I say its just an added bonus to be familiar with the original and not necessary. There is an audio version that is quite popular with people which I think is a full cast production but I'm not positive.
