Kerri_M | 787 comments Finished my 5th book (English author)

The Child by Fiona Barton by Fiona Barton ★★★★

I listened to this one on audiobook. The story is told from the point of view from 5 or 6 different characters, and the audiobook format suited this well, with different narrators for different characters/chapters. I had previously read "The Widow" by the same author, and started this one not realising that there was an overlap of characters, but the storylines are completely separate, there is no need to read these two books in order.

PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments I replaced the historical fiction I didn't finish with a short Aussie one by Irene Sauman, Saddled with Death. It's a free prequel, still available on Amazon, and it includes the beginning of the first book in the series, A Gem of a Problem, which Odette just read above.
Saddled with Death (Emma Berry Murray River Mystery Book 0) by Irene Sauman 3★ Link to my review

[Technically, it's a novella, not a novel, but added to the book I partly read plus the beginning of the next in the series, I hope I have enough pages to count for the challenge. It's the best I can do at the moment!)
