Could be you're totally in the 1920s reading period or do the covers just look that way to me?

They do all have that look for sure, although I think "monaco" is in the 50s and "bonnie" is in the early 30s. Maybe vintage fashion was popular even then!

And I've just added it to my to-read list :) Dugoni is near the top of my must-read authors list, and I'm curious to see how he handles non-fiction.

It's the same for me plus I needed a true crime/mystery book for the PopSugar challenge and since it's something I'm not really fond of it's a case of two birds and one stone *grins*

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) I'm so far behind on this challenge and I don't even care.

Laura, i'm picking An Unnatural Worth by Mya Lairis - the cover looks so dreamy.

I originally added this to my TBR to fulfill a couple of challenges, and I liked it very much. A new-to-me author and some great relatable characters.

message 376: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. | 3775 comments So since I can't ever allow myself to catch up, I'll choose again:

Jennifer, I'm picking Save the Date by Mary Kay Andrews for you because of that deep purple color and the lights at the top that draw the eye.

My next five:

The Middle of Somewhere by Sonja Yoerg Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center The Girl in the Corner by Amanda Prowse The Other Woman by Sandie Jones Every Time You Go Away by Beth Harbison

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) I'm behind by 8 and don't care -- i just read the description on The Girl in the Corner by Amanda Prowse AND saw that it's "read and listen for free with kindle unlimited," which made it leap onto my list forthwith. I'm picking it for you, Connie!

My next five:
Al Dente's Inferno (Tuscan Cooking School Mystery #1) by Stephanie Cole A Killer's Wife (Desert Plains, #1) by Victor Methos The Girl in White Gloves by Kerri Maher A Murderous Tangle (Seaside Knitters Society Mystery #14) by Sally Goldenbaum The Land of Mango Sunsets by Dorothea Benton Frank

Thank you so much. After reading recently the previous one in series (which is today free) I'm looking forward to this one and since my battery should be full now I'm going off to start the fun :-)

BTW: I loved the cover of the first one even more Muffin Top & A Muffin Top Christmas (Sweet Cravings #1-1.5) by Tabatha Kiss (who can resist a muffin & grenade combo *grins*) and it's so fitting - a great mixture of fun, hot, much action (fight & sex scenes) and such great characters. No nacked guy on this cover but his description makes up for it *yummy*

message 383: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) @Agnieszka -- great pick, and that author just got picked for me over at "Finish What You Started" so your timing was great!

@ Connie -- I'm picking The Bride Who Got Lucky (The Cavensham Heiresses #2) by Janna MacGregor for you -- the white dress against the green background caught my eye and I think it may be the most thoroughly clothed cover figure I've ever seen you post (KIDDING!)

I finished the book last night and even if it was not as great as expected it was still fun and entertaining. Thank you Connie!

Jennifer, I pick for you A Murderous Tangle (Seaside Knitters Society Mystery #14) by Sally Goldenbaum because: knitting, so much blue, a dog - what's not to like (the last time I had a hard time to decide between this one and my previous pick - so now you get both of them *grins*)

Barb, I chickened out on this one. Since it's a KU book, it will take a little longer than I thought now that my trial membership expires next week. I still plan to read it and think I'll join KU end of summer for a month (or a couple of them) just won't be able to tell you how it is very soon. Sorry!
