25.1 Justme's Task: Peace Corps
I chose option 1 and 3.

1. Read a nonfiction book to assist you in your 'chosen service area' (above) and explain how it is useful or why you chose it.

Pale Rider: The Spanish Flu of 1918 and How it Changed the World by Laura Spinney
(I read the kindle version, the paperback edition: Pale Rider: The Spanish Flu of 1918 and How it Changed the World is 448 pages)

I chose this to fit the health area of service in Fiji. 5% of the population there died due to the Spanish Flu, and I read this book to understand pandemics better and get a more comprehensive idea of how we can treat them in the future.

Approved in the help thread here

3. Read a book about their service experiences written by a Volunteer of a specific service group and note which group.

Monique and the Mango Rains: Two Years with a Midwife in Mali
(I read the kindle version, the paperback version: Monique and the Mango Rains: Two Years with a Midwife in Mali is 214 pages)

Written by a returned Peace Corps volunteer!

Pale Rider = 448
Monique and the Mango Rains = 214

Native American tribes kept track of time by observing the lunar months. Read a book with a word in the title or subtitle from the names used by various tribes to describe the summer season’s moons: strawberry, rose (relating to the flower or the color), red, hay, hot, thunder, buffalo, green, grass, corn, sturgeon. Plurals, possessives, verb forms (as in thundering), hyphenated words (red-hot) and compound words that preserve the meaning of the word work.
