Hi Mandiann! I think I'm on this team. I left a message on the sign-up thread, because I'm listed on the main list, but not on this one.
I think so. Does that make you the captain since you were listed at the top of our list and we have a ? beside captain?
I think it just means we'll need to choose a captain. I can do it if no one else wants to, but if someone wants to be captain, that's fine too.
I'm pretty bad with names. The only ones that come to mind are "book it to the finish line" and "read the rainbow"
Do we have a team leader volunteer yet? I was a team leader for the last round, so would prefer not to be this round.
Hi Marty,I can be captain - if someone else wants to volunteer, that's fine, but since we start tomorrow, I'm guessing no one else is interested.
Either way, I'll plan to throw the dice first thing tomorrow. I'm on central time so I'll be in bed when the countdown comes in tonight but I'll be active around 6:00 am tomorrow.
Eight Reads a Week is a good name. I'm usually still up at the time of the roll. If you'd like me to roll for the team. I could help out as co-captain.

Has someone contacted Ezi to let her know what we're doing? (Sorry to keep throwing out the questions!)

I had forgotten how good this series is and Jaime is one of my particular favourite characters of the series. Even though i had read this before (in 2009), it was easy easy to get sucked right back in to the story almost as if it was the first time reading it all over again. All of the women characters in this series are strong women but very very different with very very different powers and perspectives. Jaime is a fun and strong character but I loved the way she is drawn and the fact that we get to see her insecurities and vulnerabilities right along with her strengths.
All in all this was a great instalment to and absolutely fantastic series that i really need to get back to and finally finish.

(Assassins #7) by Toni Aleo (543 p.)
Sorry, I am here but still trying to decide what to read. Don't have a 7th coming up in any of my 80 CR series so trying to decide if I should pick a 7th on a new series that can be read out of order or go for the alternative task.
Ezinwanyi wrote: "Noooo. Don't read out of order"Yeah but I mean a series that doesn't need to be read in order. Like Baby Sitters Club or Goosebumps. But those are the only ones I can think of. Open to suggestions. Not crazy about mystery/crime/thrillers type books.
Hi Mandiann - do you like romance at all? Most contemporary romance (Jill Shalvis, Robyn Carr, Shannon Stacey, Brenda Novak) have long series and while characters from previous books may pop in, they're not essential and they can be read out of order.

Spent a fair amount of time looking this morning with little luck. Every time I found a book that I was interested in reading that was 7th in a non sequential series my library didn't have it.
I will likely reread Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It's only been just over 5 months since I last read it but Ezi said there was no minimum for rereads and it's a good comfort book.
I was about to suggest Harry Potter from your TBR or one of your Meg Cabot books

You have book with BFF

I do but trying to avoid alternative tasks. I don't feel like rereading the Meg cabot right now but HP sounds great.
Ezinwanyi wrote: "You sound like me. I try to avoid alternate tasks as well"LOL and I'm indecisive. Bad combination.
Will make a selection post tomorrow. Just finishing up another challenge book and waiting to see what new tasks I get tomorrow.
Changed my mind on my book and am going to read
instead :-) have updated my selection post above :-)

Week 1~ Spot #7Love a Little Sideways by Shannon Stacey
Pages: 368
Qualification: Seventh book in the Kowalski series
Finished: 6/6/17
Rate & Review: ****
The nice thing about series is that it's fun to see characters from previous books. Most of the Kowalski family appeared at some point and it was great to see the "of doom" games. There was some added depth to the story between the two MCs - if two people like/love each other but want different things in life, what happens. The ending was obvious (romance book basic), but it was a good journey to the end and I really liked the book.
Just wanted to give you a quick update. I am aware my book is outstanding and due tomorrow. I have about 200 pages left and don't anticipate any troubles getting it done in time. What time is it due by?
I'm popping in to say that my book will be finished tomorrow, probably in the evening. I'll post before midnight for sure.
