I haven't read Neil Gaiman before but have his book American Gods sitting on my shelf just waiting to be read. I hope to get to it soon as I have wanted to read one of his books for a long time.

Hello teammies! Sorry I've been a bit MIA. We ripped up all of our floors SIX FLIPPIN' WEEKS AGO and are still in the process of laying new floors down. If we haven't been working or at my daughter's lacrosse games, we've been working on floors. I've been able to sneak the bud so am still able to listen to audios but haven't been able to do much chatting. This week we should be done with the family room and kitchen! BIG YAY!!!!!Which just leaves the living room/laundry room/bathroom - but those areas aren't as LIVED IN as the part that's about done. Hopefully those will be a bit easier since we now have a better idea of what we're doing...
You guys are really rockin' the books!!
Karen I'd recommend it. I LOVED Neverwhere. I think it's one of my all time favourites. prey you never meet the Shepards of shepards bush! you should try stardust, it's a totally tucked up play on fairytales and way better than the film. though I still adore the film
I finally finished Strange the Dreamer! I am really glad I finished it, but had no idea it was the start of a series. I thought it was a standalone!
I haven't done yet as I was behind so to avoid spoilers I wanted to wait until I was finished. I'm going to head over to the discussion now. I will read the next one as I want to know what happens next. I did feel like the book could have been shorter though as in the grand scheme of things, not a huge amount actually happened until the end. But now that the world has been introduced and characters and their backgrounds explained, I think the next book could be much more interesting.
Thats the only thing about doing the BOM i like to finish the book first and then go back and answer the questions, i cant stop at a certain chapter snd then pick it up a day or so later, i need to find out what happened lol

That's awesome!! I put a pic in our thread for today too :)
Whoop Emma you've been chosen for the questions for The Hate U Give, I can also join as I've only just read it this week so can join in the questions. The audio is fantastic for this one
Me too Lauren, if you read it after May 4th it will count toward the BOM points if you answer some of the questions

YAY Emma!!!!
I'm terrible example.... It's sad that I as mod am breaking one of the rules (one about weekly check-ins), but I do have excuse. Kinda. *grins*
Anyway, I'm still here. Trying to read. Please don't kick me out! :P
LADIESPlease be aware that if you are hoping to get points for the BOM then you must partake in at least 3 days worth of questions in the BOM threads allocated.
Otherwise it will just count as a normal book read and you will lose out on the extra points.

actually it's 3.
You need to do 3 days worth of questions (even if you are the one asking them) to claim points
hi everyone. how are we all this morning?im cracking on through These Happy Golden Years and How to Be a Woman
Hi Tori! How to Be a Woman looks really good, I hope you are enjoying it :). I'm reading Rebecca for another challenge. It's been good so far.
Oh, that's so cute! That sorta reminds me of my sister when she was a little girl. On the weekends she used to make herself a packed lunch in the morning so she could disappear into her room for a whole day of reading without interruptions.
Aww love that!!IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!! Well actually officially for me its Saturday as it's half past midnight lol.
I'm just catching up and watching the next episode of The Handmaids Tale, anyone else watching it, its crazy!!
I need to watch it!!! Lately I haven't watched much TV, but if I do it's a series called "The 100"... Not sure if anyone's seen it but it's been an interesting first few episodes...

K, is that the Sci fi one about a 100 kids sent down to earth? It's on my want to watch list, but I hardly watch tv these days.
V, I don't think The Handmaids Tale is showing in Oz yet, but I really want to see it.

YES! That's the one! I think we're only a third into the first season but so far it's done a good job holding my interest.
