Return of the Jedi
Well, I've just got back from a job interview so I'm just waiting on the phone call this afternoon to find out if I got it - I'm about to finish my teacher training so I'm going to be a primary school teacher. I'm going to read while I wait for the phone call to try and calm myself down! After Monday I will have plenty of time to get on with some reading!
Well my job depends on when you ask :)At the moment (for last few months) I'm working as receptionist/admin in nutritionist's office in health care center (or whatever it's called in English). But every so often (read: every two months) I'm still working for 'old boss' and help out with her health groups. Since 'new' and 'old' boss are good friends, they easily agree on me being away from my work to help out. *sigh*
Speaking of those groups, I'm going to disappear again in two weeks.

K, I saw you read The Dry, I've got the physical book of this and have been looking forward to getting to (it hasn't fit a challenge so far). What did you think of it?

Oh no, that sounds so painful! I'm not fond of hardbacks as I find them hard to read, even without arthritis. They are just so clunky

you deal with your lot in life. i'm 30 now and it hit when i was 21 so you get used to it though its certainly an angle to the kindle vs paper book argument people don't think about.
can i ask how the BOMs work for points? Do i have to answer everyday and finish in time?
if I skip a day or take a couple extra days will I still get the points?
Do the points get applied when the BOM is finished or after participation?
I'm really enjoying this book and I do hope to participate to the full but I'm worried I'm a bit slower
You don't have to answer every question to get points and it doesn't matter if you are not answering them on the day they are submitted. Just answer them when you get a chance as it shouldn't be a stressful process, enjoy the book I say.
Emma wrote: "Who else is reading A Gentleman in Moscow? I am so in love with this book, it's just gorgeous, what an unexpected gem."Loved the book. A few days off work so hopefully get involved in the discussion. I put my questions up on the 17th.

As long as you finish the book within a month and participate in discussion you can get points. You don't really have to answer questions, they are there to help out with discussion. You can make comments and discuss it that way, but you need someone to respond. If you go by the questions, you need at least 3 days for it to count.
You'll get points after you finish the book. It all goes by read date :P

And to top it off it was pouring when I had to go to work :(
thanks Tea. I've took part in BOMs before but this time I'm reading foe the group and not just myself :) I think I'm last on the tables so I wanna make sure I pull my weight. Just need to finish this 700 page book soon
Pleased to say that I got the job! I also handed in my final university assignment today so I'm now free for a bit! I'm planning on doing nothing but read tomorrow so hopefully I can finish off one of the books I've been reading!
I was coming here to complain that the spreadsheet wasn't pulling some of my books, only to realize the GR read date glitch had struck again. So take note ladies, every so often check your shelf.
Finished
Liked parts of this book but found other sections just boring,so unfortunately just 3 stars from me
