TheBookishFairy (Lauren) Hello all!

I'm Lauren, I'm from South East England and I have just finished my degree in primary education, so from September I will be teaching. I'm therefore making the most of getting some reading done this summer as I've had little time during my degree and will have little time when I start reading!

I have done TT before but it was a good couple of years ago, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

My shelf is : https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

I'm currently dipping in and out of multiple books as I can't decide what I feel like reading and want to settle on, which is a real pain!

Ghost in the Stacks Here is my shelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

Right now I am reading In the Woods
In the Woods (Dublin Murder Squad, #1) by Tana French

Oh, I've heard that In the Woods is fabulous, it's definitely on my TBR.

Venecia | 995 comments Hi everyone, I'm Venecia and I live on a small Caribbean island named Saint Lucia. I love reading all genres, but I would say my favs are romance and mystery/thriller.

I enjoyed In the Woods but admit it took me awhile to get into the story at first. I will also say that I loved the next books in the series even more!

K~Terror (k-terror) | 5600 comments I just finished The River at Night which was about 4 close women-friends who go on a white water rafting trip together. I always thought that sounded like a lot of fun but I think after reading this I'll think twice!

message 62: by Tori (new)

Tori Coulson I've just finished reading little town on the prairie (don't judge me, I'm strangely fascinated by American history and pioneers) and started a romance book set in a tea shop but four chapters in and it's utter crap ☹

I just finished that book recently too. It does sort of put you off white water rafting in the wilderness!

Very excited for TT to start! Still not sure what I want to read though. I don't know whether or not to try and do a TBR or just pick as I go. What is everyone else planning or doing? :)

message 70: by V_Nerdbooks (new)

V_Nerdbooks | 5079 comments I just go with the flow and read whatever at the beginning

Karen (karen-ann) | 140 comments Looking forward to getting started and seeing what everyone else in the team reads.

message 72: by Emma (M) (last edited Apr 27, 2017 03:04PM) (new)

Emma (M) | 1777 comments I think my choices will be dictated by the Amazing Race challenge at the start. I'll have at least one more round of that overlapping with TT. Once that is over though, I've got a huge TBR to get to :D

message 73: by TheBookishFairy (new)

TheBookishFairy (Lauren) I feel like I might go with the flow as well, but I might try and pull out a mixture of short books that Ican read fairly quickly for points and then pull out a couple of longer books that I can read alongside at a slower rate. Equally, depends on what I feel like 😂 I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else wants to read.. it'll be interesting to see if we have any cross overs in what we read!

Ghost in the Stacks I kind of just read what I want to read, as I do a ton of challenges.....plus I am just not good at planning ahead too much.

message 75: by Venecia (new)

Venecia | 995 comments I'm going to let my other challenges dictate what I read.

Taken A little peek at the prologue looks good. Reading a couple of books from Net Gallery first. I will post a review when I have read it.

Tori and I are both reading this book hopefully earn the team some points if one of us get chosen to set some DQ. for BOM

Emma (M) | 1777 comments Good news, I got a spot for DQs in the randomiser for The Circle BOM this coming week (helps that there were only a few nominees). Crossing my fingers for Karen's nomination to pick up a spot for A Gentleman in Moscow.

TheBookishFairy (Lauren) Yay! Well done. I'm really looking forward to getting started, I'm madly trying to finish my current reads so that on the 4th I can pick up and start a new book right away for TT!

I know right, I have a huge tbr for TT that I can't wait to get stuck into.

message 86: by Tori (new)

Tori Coulson I don't have a game plan for my reading list for tt other than gentleman in moscow for the BOM. my aim is to read books that are really appealing to me so I'll knock though them quickly and rack up those pages.
I'm really excited. nothing gets me reading like a group challenge

message 87: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9624 comments I'm now it that place where I feel bad for starting anything since it would be lost points *sigh*

As for reading plan, mostly what fits other challenges. I do have few longer books saved for this one (and one of them needs to be read as soon as possible). We'll just have to see if I'll actually have time to read them.

message 88: by TheBookishFairy (new)

TheBookishFairy (Lauren) I didn't realise that Strange the Dreamer was going to be a BOTM this month. I wasn't planning on reading it until June, but if I can participate in discussions and earn some more points then I'll bump it up! It doesn't start until 22nd of May which is good as I've got some other books I want to read first - I'm really getting excited now as it's so hard not to start anything new!

message 89: by V_Nerdbooks (last edited May 02, 2017 11:49AM) (new)

V_Nerdbooks | 5079 comments Ok we are nearly ready to rock and roll, not sure whether there will be a books read thread for us all to post, there usually is, but if not then can we post a completion post in here in the same format?

Book:
Date read:
Rating:
Pages:
How it fits:
(How it fits will probably be used later on with mini challenges)

I have accepted or sent out friend fequests to everyone, i think they have all been accepted.

Karrie, i havent been able to PM you as your profile is private, can you please accept my friend request so that i can view your shelf to link it?

message 90: by TheBookishFairy (new)

TheBookishFairy (Lauren) When we post about completing a book. Should we just type the title of the book or type the name linked to the goodreads page for the book? :)

message 91: by V_Nerdbooks (new)

V_Nerdbooks | 5079 comments Usually posting is like this

Book: From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon
From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon
Date read: 3rd April
Rating: 5 stars
Pages: 386 pgs
How it fits: Buildings on cover

As long as it shows the book/date read/how it fits

Countdown to TT

message 97: by V_Nerdbooks (new)

V_Nerdbooks | 5079 comments you need to make sure YOU start on the 4th as per this clock, for example mine doesn't start until another 1 day and 1 hour for me, meaning it will be 3.30 pm for me here in the UK
