McKensie and Lara

James nodded with a grin "it's really just a false image anyway! They still are doing everything we do!"

Mark laughed softly. "Exactly. Who's to say we aren't the popular crowd?" He grinned. Then he paused, a thought entering his mind. "How come you guys are demons and I'm human? How do you become one or the other?"

James looked at London "well Loo was born an angel...but angels and demons can't touch...so we had to be seperated...when she was old enough I turned her into a demon like me...you become a demon when one turns you!"

Mark nodded slowly, mulling over that. "So... could you... could you make me a demon?" he asked softly, looking up at him.

James blinked definitely not expecting that "well um...yeah but..." He stuttered trying to explain "it's not just wings...you have to leave your family..."

Mark chewed his lip, deciding. "So, maybe change me when I'm a little older?" He asked hopefully. "I don't mind leaving my family. But I want a little more time with them." He said honestly.

James nodded with a smile "yeah! I'll have more experience then...and more control...just um stay away from Dem he hates humans..."

Mark frowned a little. "Dem? Why? What did we ever do to him?" He asked.

James sighed "Demons are naturally supposed to hate humans...make their lives hard or kill them, me and Loo and my parents are the weird ones that don't...Demetri's dad is the most powerful demon there has ever been and he's getting up there..."

Mark frowned a little more. "Well that's stupid. But I understand... I guess." he said, sighing. "When I'm a demon he'll like me more I guess."

James nodded "yeah, he's just kind of...edgy one of my best friends but...it's hard to get to know him."

Mark nodded in understanding. "It's alright. I'll get used to him." he said, trying to be positive.
((leaving for a bit now. Might be on later tonight, might not idk))

Damon felt like his brain was being crushed trying to keep it in, but he couldn't he lost it going to the ceiling and trying to tear it apart but it was indestructible from the remodeling. That frustrated him so he ripped up the stairs and bannister tearing apart the kitchen looking for food.
James grinned "man school is over already! That was fast!"

Mark and London nodded in unison. "No kidding." Mark said. London smiled softly. "I'll be happy to go home." she said honestly.
Torch drove up to the front of the school, waiting outside for his kids.

James grabbed his pack and waved goodbye to Mark, he saw Demetri standing by himself looking oh so peeved off "you ok?"

Dem shook his head, wringing his hands. "Dad left me here all day, and he isn't even here to pick me up!" he protested. "He was supposed to take me to hell!"

James frowned "you could ride with us and my dad could take you to hell? Maybe something happened and he couldn't make it?"

Dem sighed heavily and managed a smile. "Thanks." He said, hopping into the car with them. "I don't know why he wouldn't come.... I didn't think anything else would be more important to him..."

James frowned and looked at his dad "can you contact Damon?...he was supposed to pick up Dem and go to Lukas' place!"

Torch nodded, frowning in worry. He tried to contact Damon, but his mind met a wall. "Apparently not. He's in his demon form." He explained. "Dem, you can come to our place while we figure out what is going on."
((Heading to bed now :P G'night :) ))

James nodded "you can play in our treehouse!" He tried to get him excited but he could tell Dem was really upset and disappointed "he's in his demon form...that means something happened beyond his control!"
((Goodnight :) ))

Dem chewed his lip in worry. "Out of his control? Mom and Taylor might not be ok!" He exclaimed. "I have to go check on them!"

James frowned "dad can we stop by their house first?"

Torch nodded and pulled into Damon's driveway. Dem ran out and upstairs. He was gone for a moment, and when he came back he looked panicked. "Mom and Dad are gone!"

James looked at the house with wide eyes "did a hurricane come through?!"

Torch looked around and shook his head, sighing. "No. Damon did."

James frowned not understanding "why?"

Torch scraped the back of his neck with one hand. "Well... that's because Damon kind of loses control whenever he becomes his demon form..." He explained.

James frowned upset and looked at Dem "looks like your dad had a good reason not to pick you up!"

Dem nodded slowly, his mouth hanging open. He couldn't believe his dad could cause this mess... "I guess so..."

James took his hand and squeezed it "I think your room is still ok!"

Dem nodded, looking rather sick. "I shouldnt have gone to school today... I could have helped out somehow! I should have been here." He said softly. He looked like he was about to cry.

James hugged him hoping he wouldn't cry, he smiled pointing to them just arriving "there's your mom!"

Lexi climbed on and held on tight as he flew them, smiling in excitement. When they got back, Lexi slid off his back and smiled her thanks to Damon, before running to Dem and scooping him in her arms. She held him close and kissed his hair.
Dem frowned a little. "Is that Dad?" He asked softly, curious.
Lexi nodded. "Yes. It is. That's his demon form honey." She said softly.
Dem couldn't stop staring. He smiled a huge smile. "Am I going to look like that!?" He asked hopefully.

James was terrified of the demon and clung onto Torch hiding his face in his shirt.

Dem nodded and huffed. "I just have to read this baby book."
Lexi set him down. "Well go on then. Read it in your room and tell me what it was about after.
Torch hugged James against him, whispering that it was alright. He shot a smile at Damon and waved, before walking back out to the car where London had been waiting. "Well I guess that settles that." he said, smiling. "You kids have a good day at school?"

James shrugged "My friend wants me to turn him when he gets older..."

Torch nearly slammed on the breaks in shock, but he managed to keep enough control to continue on. "What? James... humans shouldn't know about us! None the less be asking to be a demon!" He said seriously. "Turning your friend is not your choice to make, nor theirs. Who ever this child is, they are still under the care of their parents. You can't turn your friend. For their safety and yours, ok?"

James said nothing, he made a promise and it would be when both of them were older so what would be the problem "you turned mom..."

Torch sighed softly. "Yeah, but that was different. She didn't have family she was leaving behind. She was a grown woman." He tried to explain.

James frowned "Mark said he was fine with leaving his family when he was older I told him all of this!"

Torch paused, not sure what to reply to that. "Not before you're sixteen. Ok?" He asked.

James nodded "got it, then I'll have more control! Mark could get his demon form right?"

Torch smiled then, a little more encouraged. "Exactly." He said, pulling up in front of the house. "Let's go see how Mom and Zach are doing." He suggested, walking in the house. "We're home!"

Mae looked up raising an eyebrow" it's 4 hours after school!"

Torch smiled sheepishly. "Sorry about that. Damon went demon and tore up their house, and I had to drive Demetri home from school." he explained. "Yes. Everyone is alright."

Mae sighed "oh dear...why did Damon turn demon? Is Lexi and the kids safe for now?"

Torch shrugged. "To be honest, I don't know. He was still a demon so I couldn't ask." He explained. "He seemed enough in control though, and Lexi was just fine last I saw her."
Anne sighed. "Just enough to wake him up honey. I'm afraid the rest of the effects take time to wear off."
Lexi nodded slowly, squeezing Damon's hand gently. "I'm here for you." she promised.
Mark sighed and ruffled his hair, shrugging. "Not part of the popular crowd though." He said, sighing. "It's alright. I've got you guys. I don't need them."
