Lexi bit her lip. "In hell?" She asked softly, not liking the idea of sending Dem away at all. Then again, the more she thought of it, the more she realized that Dem would probably be thrilled. She nodded slowly, standing. "Alright." She agreed. "I'll go let him know." She said.Torch hugged her tightly, spinning her around. "Crawling!?" He asked, shocked. "My they grow fast." He exclaimed.
Damon sighed, it was for the best he would cause quite a ruckous here on earth...and the poof kid was so bored! Lukas had books and knowledge everything Dem would need and they could visit every day!Mae nodded giggling and putting Zavh down as he tried to scuffle over to the treat Mae set for him just a little but away.
Lexi smiled sadly at Damon and went inside and upstairs to Dem's room. "Dem I have to tell you--" She stopped short, staring at him on the bed. It was Dem, but it didn't look like it anymore. He had transformed, into his demon self. He looked exactly like Damon, but instead of having black eyes, he had red ones, and he was practically foaming. "Dem?" Lexi asked, shocked that he could change so soon.
Dem didn't answer. He had no control what so ever. He was strong as a demon, and it was his first shift. Eyes glittering, he charged at Lexi.
Lexi backed up just as he slammed into her, his claws digging into her sides as they both went down. "Dem, please. It's me. I'm not going to hurt you. Please listen." She begged.
Dem couldn't hear her. He saw an enemy, and that was all. He bit into her shoulder, his claws dragging down her side. Lexi screamed.
Torch's eyes widened and he gasped, scooping up the little guy. "My my my. You're a regular trouble maker already! When did you get so big, hm?" He asked, cradling him.
Damon immediately felt the danger and quickly flew in and pulled the demon off of her, he growled and pinned him melting his mind so that he would change back and not remember.Mae smiled and watched Zach fuss "he wants his reward!" She grabbed it and gave it to her sweet brown eyes boy.
Dem switched back to his human form and slumped against the floor, unconscious. Lexi sat up slowly, using one shaking arm to prop herself up. With the other hand, she gingerly touched her side, and brought her hand away bloody. A red stain was quickly spreading across her shirt where Dem had left deep gouges in her side and shoulder. "That's going to scar." She whispered, and lowered herself back down when her head started to grow fuzzy from blood loss.
Torch laughed and shook his head. "He is one adorable child." He said softly, giving Zach his finger to hold. He smiled at Mae then.
Damon along with Dem phased back to human, he slumped exhausted but he had to take care of Lexi! He got the first aid kit and wrapped her up the best he could "I-I'm sorry..." This problem was definitely because of him.Mae nodded "where's the twins? Did they have a good day at school?"
Lexi smiled weakly, watching as if in a dream as Damon bandaged her. "It's not your fault." she whispered, closing her eyes. "Don't worry about it... I don't feel any pain..." Her voice was growing softer as her body was weak from the amount of blood she had lost. Torch smiled and shrugged. "They're in here somewhere. Probably in their rooms." He explained, kissing her cheek. "As far as I heard they had good days. But apparently James got asked to turn someone.
Damon panicked and looked desperate "don't go to sleep my love...I'm getting you some blood! Please...Lexi" he begged and searched through his first aid kit for the bag of blood and hooked up an IV "you're going to be ok..." If Dem wasn't his son he would make him wish he had never been born!Mae's eyes went wide "what?! How would they know..," she took Zach back so he could rest on her chest.
Lexi didn't have the energy to open her eyes again. She just whispered, "So tired..." And her voice drifted into a sigh. She had passed out, but she wasn't dead, not yet. The blood was pouring into her system, and her heart was fighting hard to get it flowing again. Torch huffed. "That's what I'm worried about. They were obviously told, and now apparently want to be one of us." He explained.
Damon fretted and tried everything he could do, why was he always put in this situation? He held her hand laying his head on the bed as he kneeled next to it.Mae sighed "can you blame them? What did you tell James?"
Lexi's condition stabilized half an hour later, and she immediately winced. "Gosh it hurts to breath." She whispered, and turned her head so she could look at Damon. "Hey... Are you alright?" She asked softly. Dem woke up then, and walked into their bedroom. "Mom? Dad? Are you guys ok?" He asked, clearly nervous.
Torch shook his head. "I can't. I told him that he had to wait until they were sixteen, so the kid wouldn't be leaving behind any parents.
Damon sighed and led Dem out in the hall "kiddo...you're going to live with Lukas for awhile...it'll be better for you and you don't have to bored anymore!" He couldn't tell him that he nearly killed his mom.Mae nodded "Very good idea...James will be more stable as well! Maybe London will cure him by then!"
Dem chewed his lip, liking the idea, but not liking that he would leave his family and sister. He hugged him tight. "I'll miss you guys." He said softly. Lexi wanted desperately to hug Dem, but she knew it wasn't a good idea, not right after what just happened, not when she was still covered in blood.
Torch nodded. "Exactly." He said, and then he huffed. "I wish I could heal him..."
Damon smiled "we will visit as much as we can!" He promised "you'll enjoy yourself, learn to be a better demon than your old man!" He ruffled his hair "go get packed kiddo."Mae pat his arm "I know...but that's her ability and James is a flame head!"
Dem nodded, pulling away finally. "Alright." He agreed, and walked over to his room to pack. Torch huffed. "Yeah. Why couldn't they have inherited any of your abilities?" He asked, shaking his head. "All mine are too... troublesome..."
Damon sighed and went back to Lexi and used a warm wash cloth to clean up the blood "what can I do honey? Are you hurting?"Mae raised a brow "oh right, weather is so passé not to mention seeing the future...not troublesome at all!"
Lexi closed her eyes as he washed her up, and then nodded slowly. "Yeah, the gashes hurt. Hurts to breathe." She said honestly. "They may need to be stitched, or cauterized." She mused. Torch laughed and kissed her forehead. "No, not troublesome at all." He repeated, softer. He hugged her gently. "What would I do without you?"
Damon nodded and searched for the needle and sterilized thread as he carefully sewed each gash. He putbthe numbing cream on each of them and sighed deeply "he's more powerful than me..."Mae leaned into him "still be a cocky frat boy that kills angels?"
Lexi could finally relax once the wounds were stitched, and she looked at him, biting her lip in nervousness. "I don't know Damon. I'd say you two are pretty evenly matched."Torch smiled, kissing her hair. "Probably." He whispered.
Damon sighed and shook his head "no one should have to deal with all that angst and power...Lukas will help, Dem will probably be at the head table..."Mae looked up and saw London she looked upset "honey what's wrong?"
((What should be wrong with London?))Lexi nodded, sighing. "I think the power thing is both our fault. Dem will learn. With time. Don't worry." She encouraged.
((I'm just trying to wing something! Do you have any ideas?))Damon looked up to see Dem and his little suitcase "ready already sport? That was fast!"
((hmmm not really. maybe she wishes she was normal, or she wishes she could fix James sooner. Or maybe she's sick. idk. Do you have any ideas?))Dem nodded, taking a deep breath. "I'm ready." He said, giving them a small smile. "Let's go."
((I like the normal idea! Or she's getting sick again?))Damon nodded "say goodbye to your mom..."
((which one do you prefer?))Dem nodded and walked over to Lexi, hugging her. "Bye Mom." He whispered.
Lexi hugged him back, kissing his cheek. Her eyes glistened with tears.
Dem bit his lip. "Don't cry." He whispered, trying to give her a brave smile. "I'll see you soon."
Lexi nodded, shooing him back towards Damon. "Go on then." She said, trying to keep the tears from falling. "Get on with you."
((I think wanting to be normal would be very interesting.))Damon took his hand as they headed down to Lukas' place. He knocked on the heavy wood doors and sighed looking at his son "be good, well respectful and obedient. Don't give Lukas any of that lip and..." Now he was getting emotion "just..." He couldn't say anything thankfully Lukas opened the door.
Lukas smiled softly, "Hey guys. Dem." he said, smiling. Dem smiled at Lukas. "Hi." Then he turned and hugged Damon tightly. "I'll miss you." He said quickly, before walking inside.
London shifted awkwardly, biting her lip. "Well... I want to be human." She said softly.
Damon sighed "love you kid..." He said quietly and looked up at Lukas "thanks for doing this...you know where to contact me if there is a problem..."Mae looked at her shocked "London...honey why?"
Lukas nodded. "No problem. I'll take care of him, don't worry." He assured. Dem smiled once more at his father before disappearing inside Lukas's place.
London sighed heavily. "Mark broke up with me because I am a demon, and I don't like that we're scary, and having powers I can't control scares me too."
Damon nodded and sighed heading back home, he shut and locked Dem's room he didn't want to remind himself always. He lay on the bed face down in the pillow in case he actually cried.Mae pulled her on her lap "honey...it's not time to have a boyfriend and Mark actually wants James to turn him into a demon! Your powers are healing and you don't have to be scary...I choose not to be."
Lexi looked over at Damon and sighed softly. "Hey. Like you said, we can visit all the time..." She said softly. "Please don't cry. Then I'll cry, and I've been trying very hard not to cry this whole time."London sighed heavily and shook her head. "I just want to be normal! I want to have a normal life... I don't want to be captured, or go on adventures. I want to be normal." She said, looking down.
Damon sighed "I'm not going to cry...it's just, he wanted to go he was excited...just feel like I was never was what he wanted as a dad now he has Lukas!"Mae sighed and looked at Torch for help "honey...."
Lexi sighed and reached over slowly to squeeze his hand. "I heard what he said to you Damon. He really loves you. Yes, he was excited to go learn to be a demon, and that is to be expected. It doesn't mean he loves you any less." She encouraged. Torch walked over to London and knelt in front of her, taking her hands. "Do you want to try being normal for a couple days and see how it goes? I could put a lock on your powers, and you would feel human." He offered.
London nodded eagerly. "Please?"
Torch nodded, and took her hands, closing his eyes. When he opened again, he smiled softly. "I did it. You just ask me to take it off again whenever you want them back, ok?"
London nodded.
Damon gave a smile "you always bring me back to reality love...thank you Lex, I guess I just need to relax...been too much lately!"Mae watched amazed and hugged London softly "how do you feel?"
Lexi laughed softly and immediately regretted it, wincing. But she nodded, smiling at him. "Yup. Relax and remember that you really are doing a great job as a father." She smiled softly at him. A lot better job than I am at being a mother... She thought to herself. London smiled happily. "Great! Thanks Mom! Thanks Dad!" She smiled, and ran back upstairs to James.
Damon held her softly "I guess we've both done the best we can...we still have our baby girl to look after! I just have to be so careful...demon does not like her..."James looked up from his drawing "wait...your energy feels weird!"
Lexi nodded, leaning against him. "Why do you think the demon doesnt like her?" She asked, curious. London nodded and smiled sheepishly. "Dad made me human." She said. "I can turn it back again if I want to."
Damon put an arm around her pondering that for a moment "she's powerful...a powerful good that repels the evil that my demon is!"James looked at her shocked not believing what he was hearing "b-!but why?..."
Lexi nodded slowly. That did make sense. As good did have a habit of repelling evil. "I see." She said thoughtfully. She leaned over to him and kissed his cheek. "I'm so lucky to have someone like you Damon. And... I'm really sorry that our relationship started the way it did." She said seriously.London looked shy all of a sudden, nervous because he didn't seem to approve. "I wanted to be normal..." She said softly.
Damon shook his head leaning on hers, "don't even worry about it...life moves on and like I said before I'll never stop loving you." He kissed her hair "you feeling ok?..."James really couldn't believe it, but he didn't want to upset her "oh." He continued to draw.
Lexi smiled and closed her eyes, nodding. "Yes. Thanks to you." She said, opening her eyes again to smile at him. "You could make a great doctor."London chewed her lip, watching him. "You're not happy." she whispered.
Damon shrugged "well with all of the injuries around here I should be!" He teased stroking her cheek lovingly.James looked up "no...I'm not Loo" he admitted quietly
Lexi laughed. "Hey. I'm just accident prone it would seem." She said, laughing softly. "And I am really sorry for getting you drugged." She said seriously. London nodded, looking down. "Why not?" She asked, hesitant.
Damon smiled "im not...at least it wasn't you...plus I learned the Dem's demon is quite terrifying!"James sighed "cause I turned you! And now you want to be a human...makes me feel like you don't even want to be my sister!"
Lexi chuckled softly. "Yes, he is, isn't he? He looks like a mini you." She said, teasing him. London took a couple steps back, as if she had been struck. "Why would you say something like that? Why would you even think that about me!? Of course I want to be your sister! But you obviously don't want the same!" She cried, and ran from the room.
Damon rolled his eyes "I've never torn apart skin...I prefer eating whole!"James looked up desperately and tried to follow her but for some reason his wings were coming out "Loo!"
Mae looked up "uh oh..."
Lexi shuddered. "Gross..." She complained. "I did not need that mental image."London ran into the bathroom and locked herself inside, climbing inside the bathtub and closing the curtain. She lay down in the bottom of the tub and just cried.
Torch sighed. "Let them work it out. It's better if we don't interfere."
Damon chuckled and pounced on her "you picked me!"James couldn't get up the wheelchair was far away "Loo! I need help!" He pleaded and sighed "I need my sister!"
Lexi laughed. "Yeah, but I sort of ignored the cannibalistic side of you." She said, trying to push him off her again. London heard his calls for help and she sat up slowly, wiping at her eyes, but she couldn't hide the redness. She couldn't leave him alone, not if he needed help... She got out and went to him slowly, not looking at him as she wheeled his chair over. She kept her eyes down and away as she lifted him and set him in his chair, before turning to go again.
Mae smiled and kissed him "I'm glad you're ok...I missed you Zach is trying to crawl!"
