ARGGGGHHHHH Someone on GR who I don't think I know at all said it was a surprisingly good book. OMGOMGOMGOMG
I entered the first chapter of my WIP into a writing contest and got "short-listed" (basically an honorable mention). Considering there were over 130 entries, I'm pretty happy!https://www.booksie.com/contest/Books...

Any mention is a good mention! Also, that's so encouraging- I can't wait to see what they say about your books when it's done.

You are going to get some nice sales. I just ran Stillwell on that and we had some nice movement.
So, woke up to an email this morning and now I got Book of the Week at Bookworks! Pretty cool :) https://www.bookworks.com/book/the-da...
That's awesome Alex and Ben! I actually have some awesome news too! Along with my cover reveal (with Xpresso book tours who also don't accept everyone) I submitted for a bunch of promos on March 30th including ENT, Book Raid, Ebook Soda and Goddess Fish promotions. I got all of them! I finally got the e-mail from ENT this afternoon and almost started yelling excitedly in the middle of the gym. It feels so good when your book is accepted by companies who are proven to work! I have a feeling that this is going to be the longest 16 days of my life lol
YAY BEN!!!!! Just shared an announcement on Bookworks- BTW- you all should join as well!! They are the indie arm of Publisher's Weekly.

Well done Ben! That's Karma rewarding you for all the exposure you give us authors on your website. Well deserved!
Good news on Ancient Mali!!
"Congratulations on your recent Kirkus Review! I wanted to let you know that your review for IF YOU WERE ME AND LIVED IN...THE ANCIENT MALI EMPIRE was released on our website & included in the March 2nd, 2017 content feed to Kirkus' licensees, which includes Barnes & Noble, Google, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, and more. This means your review appeared in our feed along with the reviews of books published by traditional publishers, and is available to consumers and industry professionals via these outlets. "
Every little bit helps!!

Loving all the good news this week! I have officially set up my Facebook Release Party for Puppy's Bubble for March 23/24/25 and am super excited to have some fellow children's picture book indie authors (all from this incredible group) joining me! I am already getting lots of great feedback and think I am going to have a good sized crowd. *squeals with excitement and does a happy dance...or at least something that resembles dancing*
Thumbs up to everyone with their awesome news and going forward on these great promotional events! Cheers!
So I woke up this morning, took a peek at the notifications lined up on my phone and saw one that was gleaming out among the rest... I clicked on it to open up the message to find it directed me to Twitter... @AmazonKDP tweeted out about my fabulous boss, Carole P. Roman, and to make matters even better, they included her article from Forbes, "BLS Limousine Company Co-Founder Reinvents Herself In Her Sixties As Indie Author"! Not only is this a huge honor, but it's great exposure! So thankful for this journey and what all of these experiences have to offer. Thankful to have such an amazing, talented woman like Carole in my life. A strong, smart lady who's still got her wits and heart intact. She knows where she's been and she knows where she wants to go. Nothing's impossible when you live to accomplish your dreams. #Proud #TeamWork #MakesTheDreamWork

Thanks Alex, I don't think I ever won first place from Foreword. Michael won First Place in the Horror category last year and that was thrilling. I don't think it's a coincidence that is the book the publishers took for publishing.
Just got back from running errands all day, logged in to GR, and there is all this good news!!Congratulations Carole, Julie and CL!!
Alex, in case I missed it, what site did you use to promote and get your pre-orders? (sorry if I didn't see it)

Something good happened - yes. My novella Reclamation got another 5 star review. It doesn't have many reviews (5 on Goodreads, 4 on Amazon) but they're all 5 star.
