It must be all this promotion we are doing collectively. Do you think we are all on to something here??? Don't you just love it when it sort of starts to come together?

Amy, I hope you can dance and dance from now on; and Alex, 5 straight days, good for you. I agree, if I get one sale I'm smiling all day!
Everything is baby steps Alex. I have been doing stuff like this for a long time an nothing has happened overnight. It takes a lot of constant work. It's like a garden. you have to prune, weed and water all the time- but the end result is glorious. I love my job! All of them.

Wow, that's great! Congrats!!

Just ordered my first print proof of book 4! I typically need to do 3 proofs before release, but the first one is always exciting!

Yay, Alexis, pleased to hear you've been writing."
Thanks, Alex. I'm happy. I had a productive day,
How's the editing going?

Another thing that happened is my spouse unexpectedly told me she's reading something I just wrote, and even though it's in a genre she can't stand, she says it's actually good enough that she's enjoying it!
Yay, and congrats to everybody else who had something cool happen!
Glad you found it. It's nice when you can share your writing with people you care about. We have a lot of great opportunities on the thread, Rohvannyn.
Make sure you stop off by RL Blog Go Round- we've been doing a round robing of blogs and it build up traffic to all our our sites and I think may have sold some books.
We have a Navigating Indieworld website, Alexis created. It's a non-profit site promoting all our our books. Feel free to share you books there.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know, Carole! I was absolutely going to fill out the Blog Go Round form as soon as I wasn't behind a heavy firewall, and offer my blog up as part of it. In the meantime, I'll look for places I can share a little cheer! I like this place already, and I'm glad it's here.
Hi Guys, My book- One to Ten -Squirrel's Bad was nominated as Book of the Month on The Long and Short Review- Which is a great site you should all be sending your books for reviews there. - BTW- Can you swing by and vote for my book?

There are a ton of them in the back of Navigating.( the book) You just have to go through and look at their genre. We had a mixed bag because of the variety of books we push- so there are some mommy blogs that are more educational. These are some of my favorites that will read anything-Dad of Divas,

GABixlerReviews@aol.com , Bunny cates, Look up Michael's books under Kindle- Each one has lists of bloggers you can write and they don't charge for reviewing. https://www.amazon.com/Stillwell-Haun...
Read the editorial section- the blog names are in bold letters- Look them up and pitch your books.
Look for things like this ""The After House" is an unexpected book. This is a case where you shouldn't "judge a book by it's cover". I was expecting a story of gore and horror, instead I got a book of the paranormal, sprinkled with a little romance and a whole lot of enjoyment." - Penny Minding Mom
This is good because it names a blog and you can find her. It also means she likes to review. Which she does and is a wonderful supporter when she likes your book.
Don't contact the ones that say Goodread's reviewer (unless there is a blog name)- those reviewers are only reachable is by writing them here- and the Goodreads police don't like that.
Anything with Foreword or Kirkus review are paid reviews. I send most of our books for those.

It's a great site. They have reviewed every one of all of our books. They have a quick turnaround and if you look, I'm advertising on there too.
Open book society is a good one too.
Thank you all for voting!
As I think of them I'll list 'em.

I found them by doing that. I looked for books in the same genre and looked through the reviewers. Some had email address on their profiles, others had blogs. Once I looked up a blog, I'd look to see who they were affiliated with and then I'd write them as well. My list was over seven hundred- I actually had to pare it down. That didn't mean everybody responded, though when I sent a book. Most of the sites take e books too.

Voted for you, and thanks everyone for the review info!
On topic, today my spouse was able to fix her 8-core gaming PC. That means she can go back to doing awesome 3-D renders. I'm especially excited because she's working on one of my projects and I'm happy to see it get going again. (We had to replace the motherboard and the power supply, and it's like bringing a member of the family back from the dead.)

Yeah, neither am I - 2-D graphics are more my thing. Spouse uses it for Sketch-Up, makes starships and whatnot. Really nice ones, too. She also plays TOR. We just discovered that we can build another computer like she has, which we paid $1200 for a few years ago, for about $500 parts cost. I say woohoo!

Rohvannyn - nothing warmed my heart more than when my husband came to tell me how good my book was...and he absolutely detests all things supernatural. It felt like the biggest win of all!

Darn! We buy the parts on NewEgg and Tiger Direct. I'm not sure where they ship to, though.

When I came home, she kept saying nice things about it. Made me really happy. So I'm happy it happened to you too.
