Wow everyone's doing very well again. Congrats!
Wow everyone's doing very well again. Congrats!Once again I come in with a progress announcement. I have completed the short story I was writing for HallowErotica and submitted it for the anthology and short story competition.
(I also picked up my blue badge this week so I can now legally use the disabled parking spaces in car parks)
Thanks everyone. I have such a long way to go with where I want things to be, writing and otherwise. It's a slow process, but I'm getting there. I wish I was more patient.

It's a major thing for me to submit anything for a competition. Carole and everyone here have done a lot to boost my confidence. No-one has read the story. But I'm fairly convinced it complies with my catchphrase of "it's not crap." I'm not expecting to win and that wasn't the point for entering.
Here's me being interviewed as a reader not as an author. Thank you to Kay! Check it out! Please share.

Congratulations to everyone with all their achievements big and small. I am an author and poet. Currently I am only publishing poetry. Earlier this year my very first book," A Mourner's Diary:Poems of Grief and Healing," under a publishing company was released in February. Now I am happy to say that this summer I sent in my 2nd book of poems and it was approved and looks like it will be published by the end of the year.I am so happy, excited, and nervous at the same time. I am still trying to get my first book selling more and I hope my 2nd book does well too. It is a lot different from my first one and my publisher and I have been working hard on getting it just right.

Things are gradually coming together. I'm close to publishing the first couple of chapters of Missing Remnants to Radish. I've posted a question about the blurb. If anyone has any views, fire away, it's here. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thanks. I have two version of the blurb. Standard and a first person version. The book is written in the first person so I thought I'd give that a go.

I'm still unclear about how many chapters I need to have written before I put anything up. Or does it even matter?
That's what I've got. I'm not used to publishing anything until it's finished. To date as Indie Authors that's just not how we operate lol.

OK I've done it. New and exclusive to the Radish Fiction app, my new (non-erotic) Sci-Fi Mystery story. First five episodes of Missing Remnants are now available https://radish.app.link/n3pV3LgzfG

Yay. Thanks. How you promote Radish is my next challenge. I've done social media. There must be someone I can throw a few quid at to advertise. They usually require an asin or isbn. It'll be interesting.

So, one of my books 'The Day My Fart Followed Me To Hockey' got listed on a BookWorks blog release for September, 'Back To School Recommended Reading.' It's not much, but it is always cool when you get a mention that you didn;t have to hound someone for! :))

That is the best compliment a reader can give an author. They liked the book so much that they get another one to read.

Very cool news, Alex! I have your books on my TBR list. I am hoping to get to them soon. Life seems to get in the way a lot though.
