I threw that one into a 1 card slot for now, but can always switch around :-)I finished Blind Faith which was an okay-ish story, cute but predictable.
Finished Wilt by Tom Sharpe. Absolutely hilarious ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️. Now onto The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry.

Possible Cards:
0 - stand-alone
4 - Character Fenton (Abbott)
Skip - P - Character Presley (Bradshaw)
Draw 2 - Same book for 2 cards
Possible Valentine Tasks - Part Two
❤ Read a book where two characters fall in love
❤ Read a book with a 3 in the page count
❤ Read a book where characters go on a date
❤ Read a book where the character writes or receives a letter
When I was checking it on Amazon there was 14th February as published date, but now when I looked on Goodreads I see that it was Kindle edition and paperback was published on 15th, so I guess that unfortunately doesn't count. But still have something else that should match.
I will check spreadsheet now and let you know. Probably I will change some to read something that will match more Valentine challenge.
Okay, so:*I am reading now End of Seasons: Book One in the Series and should finish tommorow, then I will write which cards it suits.
* Illuminae - definitively reading next
* History Is All You Left Me
* Heir of Fire
* Vicious - I add this, cause Leslie from Team Ove read it in this month
These I will read for sure. I don't know if I manage to read rest, but if I do, I can choose the book that will suit the card we need.
Chris wrote: "Finished Wilt by Tom Sharpe. Absolutely hilarious ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️. Now onto The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry."Wow! You have a lucky hand in picking your books, it seems! Or just a very careful screening process ;-)
Hm, publish dates can be odd sometimes, Ginger. Annoying though when Amazon says one thing and GR another and you can't really be sure - well for this kind of thing that is annoying anyway ;-)Shame though that the book only warranted 1 star. Hopefully your next book is better!
Removed the books you didn't mention from the spreadsheet to open up those slots and then we'll see where the others fit in :-) Thanks!

I will definitely finish all of mine, BUT if someone else finishes something first, I totally don't mind being bumped. Everything can be banked for next month, right?
Also my problem is that I start a whole bunch of books and jump back and forth. The good thing is that I finish a bunch at the same time -- sometimes even on the same day! Weird, I know.
Every Friday, Sunday & Monday I'm getting new "assignments" for other challenges so I keep adding new books because I only have one week to complete them. Such a vicious cycle! I'm driving myself crazy!!
There is no banking. The only February books we can use in March are the ones started in February and finished in March.
Haha, yeah, challenge assignments can make it all a bit challenging ;-) That's why I try to lump as many together as possible and use one book for most of the challenges.

I wanted to start Illuminae today but I am so tired that I should go to bed.
Haha, yeah, reading in bed can be fatal ;-)I wanted to make it an early night, too. And now it's 11.15pm again already... *rolls eyes at self* Fortunately tomorrow is Friday!! :-D
Though I will of course read a few pages before sleeping - Vision in Silver is rather good.
I read about 70 pages of llluminae. I was planning to go sleep before 11.30pm but well... About 5 minutes isn't enough so I will try go to sleep to before midnight. ;-)

NO BANKING!! **Gasp** I guess that's still ok... I must be confused with another challenge from last year....Like I said, I'm fine with being bumped out. I'll keep checking the spreadsheet as the 28th draws nearer.
Here's my update: I should finish Break in Case of Emergency by tomorrow. Auntie Mayhem by Sunday 2/19. First Grave on the Right by Mon 2/20 -- same with A Tale for the Time Being. Also working on Dying for a Cupcake... Im hoping to use Magic Bites & The Crystal Cave for other challenges, but will finish by the 28th....
Ginger wrote: "I read about 70 pages of llluminae. I was planning to go sleep before 11.30pm but well... About 5 minutes isn't enough so I will try go to sleep to before midnight. ;-)"I can't read in bed at night -- I always fall asleep! I do my in-bed reading on weekend mornings instead. Let's hear it for a 3-day- weekend!! Yaaaayyyy!!

Rating: 2 stars
Valentine challenge: a group of 3 friends (Jen, Meg & Pam)
So jealous of your three-day weekend... ;-)Then again, I had a four-day weekend last week so I reaaaaaally shouldn't be complaining or jealous hehe.
No worries, Lauri! I'm sure you'll get your books done one way or another and if not these, then others. Kate Daniels is a must though :-p
Reading in bed is fantastic though. Do you just stay in bed all day when you read in bed over the weekend or do you get up, do stuff and then go back to lie in/on the bed to read?
Ginger wrote: "I read about 70 pages of llluminae. I was planning to go sleep before 11.30pm but well... About 5 minutes isn't enough so I will try go to sleep to before midnight. ;-)"Good compromise ;-)
It ended up being a little nearer to midnight for me again, too. Oooh well! The sacrifices we do for good books haha.

Wow, this was a long day! It's 10.30 pm now and I feel like I'm only able to sit back and relax now o.OGood thing tomorrow is Saturday and I won't have to get up! :-D I might just stay in bed a little longer and read, or do what LaurLa and Ginger seem to be doing and read now until the sun's shining again hehe.
Yeah, join us Eldarwen! Today I also promised myself that I will go to sleep earlier and again I failed.
Yay! Our Valentine team read a book I have on my pile of to read books. I'm also currently reading a book they read that was published in February.
I'm getting ready to start (this weekend sometime) a book on our valentines' read this month list...

I stay down till either a) my back hurts OR b) I'm starving then I get up and stay up for the rest of the day. This is usually between noon & 1pm. Then I read quietly throughout the day unless my family is home & watching TV. I can't read while the TV is on unless it's (ugh!) sports. Then I hide in the bathroom or bedroom & read during the rinse cycles of my never ending laundry pile. :)
Annalisa and LaurLa, that's awesome! At least we'll get some of those tasks read, too :-)As for the second part of our Valentine's mini challenge, we have already read for 13 out of the 15 tasks we can read for. Well done!! :-D
Depending on what has been selected to watch on TV, I can read but not as much as I would without the TV on as I keep getting distracted by whatever is on.The light on my nightstand decided to die last night >.> So I'll go see my dad today, see if he can fix it or if it's completely dead. Because then I'll have to quickly go buy a new one today. Not having a lamp on my nightstand just won't do! It's too much of a nuisance to read with the torch from my phone ;-)
I have multiple book lights. Sometimes the hubs is sleeping & I need to use the book light! And on planes -- he hates the overhead light. He can read on his iPad, text or play on his phone in bed, but I can't have a light on to read. Go figure!

Did you check if this works for the February mini challenge? Preferably for the first part, since all tasks for the second part have been completed.
Thanks!

Don't worry about Carve the Mark not working for the Valentine's challenge. We already got quite a bit more completed than initially anticipated, so we're definitely doing good on that front! :-)

Review: Charlet Davidson is an unlikely Grim Reaper. She's a sassy wiseass who just happens to be able to see and talk to the dead. This is all invaluable to the Arizona Police Dept., but it wreaks havoc on relationships! Laugh out loud funny & a bit disturbing. I want MORE!

Do we have a book lined up for published 14 of feb?
If we don't, I have several I can read.
I don't think we do. Annalisa thought she'd found one but then publish dates on GR and Amazon weren't the same, so that was a no in the end unfortunately. If I forgot someone mentioning another one, sorry ^-^

And now I really want to watch that movie again.
