I've just read you're opening line, E, 'Ladies and GENT!' and have only just realised I'm the only man here! How privileged I am! :-)

Now I am reading two books and I will finish them today or tomorrow.
But I haven't start yet Heir of Fire for Reverse card. I could try read it but I don't know if I manage. In that case does someone have book to read that will complete Reverse card?

Don't stress about the reverse card, we can do some rearranging in a couple of hands and cover it that way if you don't finish the book in time. So focus on your exam, RL always comes first, and you have a great team that can back your books, so don't worry about that :)

You are the only gent in our group. For some reason this site is kind of overrun by women and guys are far and few between. Tell me, why don't more guys read? ;)

It was a really interesting book with some likeable, colourful characters.

U'm glad you liked it. I've heard some mixed thing about that series. It seems to be one you either love or hate.
Would it cover anything for the first part of Valentine?
ETA: I just noticed the original title of the book and sometimes you just have to wonder about translations.. These books are everywhere but I never reflected on the titles before now.
I mean how did "Men who hates women" (direct translation)become "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"? Not that I have anything against it, it's just interesting how translations work sometimes....

Sorry to hear about your exam, Ginger!!
Don't worry about the reverse card though, we'll manage to fill that in somehow, I'm sure. We might even be able to take care of it by switching some things around. Annika and I will have a look at that this weekend.
Of course, if someone has a book they want to read that fits for a reverse, feel free to! :-)

Didn't realise I had been sitting on this page for that long before I finished the message. Work keeps interrupting. ;-)

Seriously?! That's the original title?!
Really does make you wonder about translations sometimes... huh.

I have to admit I like the translated version better... but I don't see how thet went from one to the other =P

That being said, I still haven't read that trilogy... my mum's been on me ever since she read and loved it but I still haven't gotten around to it. It's on my radar for this year though, so who knows?

Book:Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
Rating:3
Possible Cards:
0 - Stand Alone
3 - Character Hannelore
4 - Character Florian
8 - Character Emilia
Skip - Character Klaus
Reverse - Previously read by Lauri (this could take the place of Ginger's book that needs to be covered.)
Valentine Challenge:
Read a book read or added in February of any year: Kelsi added Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys on Feb 6, 2016.

Yes, yes, the time is upon us. As mentioned in a previous announcement post, the end of February is looming on the horizon.
There are only a few books left that need to be finished for the hands and we have a few more days to finish our books for February.
Don't fret however. If you do not finish them for February, you can take your time and finish them in March because any book started this month but not finished until the next can be used for the March hands.
We're going to proceed the same way as we have now. Have a look through the cards, see which one of your planned books could work for what and then Annika and I will start shuffling stuff around.
ATTENTION!
There is a little something extra in March! Not only do we get one hand more to read for, but we also got a few extra special cards.
For some of the cards, you'll notice a tag that says blue/red/green/yellow. This means that for those cards you need to read a book that has a blue/red/green/yellow cover (at least 50%).
Choose the obvious covers, it makes life easier ;-)
If you're unsure about a cover colour, post them here and Annika and I will check for you.
Questions? Ask away! :-)

How did you like it? I enjoyed it quite a bit!"
I thought it was an okay book; I didn't love it or hate it.

Unfortunately not, it needs to be at least 50% yellow and that is only about 16% :(

- and they say you shouldn't pick books by their covers ;)

Covers that have too many colours for you to even remotely decide whether or not they are a specific colour will usually always be a no-go.
Just a suggestion that might help you figure out the cover colours. :-) It's the way I do it.

- and they say you shouldn't pick books by their covers ;)"
Lol, right?
I am so so guilty though of choosing books by their covers though. For fantasy it works well because I'm usually not disappointed. Beware though the incredibly beautiful YA covers, those hide a crappy story far too often ;-)

The first thing I do when looking for a book is look at the cover before the story blurb. Sometimes I'll search around for that book but with the cover I want. I did that with

Mind you, I also did it with

Lamb is my very favorite of all Mr. Moore's work! I have Secondhand Souls waiting in the wings. I chose it originally because it's his firstly and because it's pink!!

Bummer! Maybe I can save it for April... Either that or I'll try to fit it in for a different card. The author's last name is Ozeki so maybe a 1 card. I've only got about 100 pages left. It's slow, but weird and interesting.

Also have book for 9 Yellow if this one would works for Yellow

Have another for 2, 3, or 9 Yellow, too.

I'm working on finishing up a book for the valentines part and then I'll pick up Carve the Mark. Although I have another book that can fit the same slot that also works for the Valentine. Would it be better for me to read that?

I also have Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard that fits in the second part of the challenge. I can read that instead of Carve the Mark and Carve the Mark will be the first I read for March. Is that ok?

I've been a complete slacker this month as far as reading is concerned!! I'll try and finish Fahrenheit 451 today. it's a surprisingly quick read.

Absolutely fine! :-)

Since we're only allowed to do 15 out of all those tasks.
Would Glass Sword also fit for the first part somewhere?
