I finished listening to The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware last night. Slow start that gathered momentum. Here's my review.
I'm now listening to The Ghost by Monica McCarty, Highland Guard #13.

I finished The Crossing and am now waiting for The Wrong Side of Goodbye to come in. I am going to listen to Brotherhood in Death in the meantime, as I need to catch up on JD Robb. I am reading I'll Take You There by Wally Lamb and an illustrated copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
I have started Where Shadows Dance by C S Harris (book 6 in the Sebastian St. Cyr series). It has been a while since I have read a Sebastian book!

Wow! You're still keeping up with the Highland Guard series. That's a series I wish I'd stuck with. I envy you your dedication, I'm all over the place :).

I decided last year to catch up. This is the last book in the series but I just realized I skipped the 5th book so I'll knock that off later.

I finished reading Beyond Reach by Karin Slaughter. Wow! Not real happy with the way that series ended. I'm gonna have to take a break from Karin Slaughter. She has upset me. :-)Here's my review.
I also finished reading Stars Above by Marissa Meyer. Here's my review.

I know how you feel, Melissa. You should read the letter she wrote to readers about the ending. Here's the link:

Thanks Sandra and Karen. I've read Triptych and own the next 4 in the series, so I may pick it up again soon.

Yay, I can't wait to read On Second Thought now!
Jonetta wrote: "Melissa wrote: "I finished reading Beyond Reach by Karin Slaughter. Wow! Not real happy with the way that series ended. I'm gonna have to take a break from Karin Slaught..."Beyond Reach was a tough book for me too! I almost gave up Karin Slaughter books, but glad I suck with it.
I have started a new series, Ghost Detective (Myron Vale Investigation), by Scott William Carter .And I'm also making my way through the Heralds of Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey again, because why not? I'm currently on Take a Thief
I gave up Karin Slaughter after Beyond Reach too and haven't picked up any of her books since. I read her letter back in the day but considering that she (view spoiler), her reasoning made no sense so that just made me madder. I think she did it purely for shock value.Anyhoo, I just finished reading Far from the Madding Crowd and enjoyed it despite the writing being a little dense and hard to decipher at times (it was published in 1874). This was one of the few cases where having watched the movie adaptation first enhanced my reading enjoyment.
I finally am caught up in my reviews from last month. My review of
The Wrong Side of Goodbyehttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished listening to Brotherhood in Death and loved it as usual! I am now listening to The Wrong Side of Goodbye.I am reading Modern Crimes: A WPC Lottie Armstrong Mystery (Book 1) and am enjoying it!
I finished Ready for Love by Marie Force, The McCarthys of Gansett Island #3, and of course enjoyed it. Here's my review.
I'm reading Worth the Wait by Claudia Connor, McKinney/Walker #1.

I love being able to say I've completed a series! Congrats on that! Did it hold up in quality throughout?

I am! I fear it may not be one you'd enjoy though. It has one of your least favourite tropes.

Can't wait for the Higgins book!
I've recently finished
, book 3 in the Arcana Chronicles series. I am HOOKED! This series has made night wakings with the babies much more bearable as I'm constantly looking for time to read these books. What better hour than when all is quiet in the middle of the night? :) On to book 4!

It is loosely connected to the last book and a the main characters from that story show up here.

In the later books, it transitioned to be more romance than historical fiction...less about the Guards and more about the couple. However, this one is more like the earlier books and I'm really enjoying.
