Awesome!! we shall prevail!
June begins with two BRsSapiens: A Brief History of Humankind &
Ready Player One
As for other updates
Finished Into the Light & Away from the Dark within two days. I like books with improbable plots that drives you to the edge of your seat,. Seriously crazy fun stuff.
Shelving off The Discoverers: A History of Man's Search to Know His World and Himself, cant seem to pull enough enthusiasm for the book. The writing puts me off
Will try to focus more on The Cabinet of Curiosities, that's another super creepy book, more than its predecessors
SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome at around 5-7 percent. I'l take the rest of the year to finish it. no hurry
Manju wrote: "Those two books were your first Romig?"i tried one of her other works Manju, did not like it much

I have read 7 and they all seems like same to me. They all work in same way, she just keep introducing so many twists that one can't help but keep turning pages but they do get stale after sometime. :/

7 would be a bit too much i suppose, this was pretty good imho
Quite liked the dark ominous tone of the whole plot
The Cabinet of Curiosities at 55% or thereabouts (Listening to Radiohead-Bodysnatchers; BRMC- Rifles)
finishedThe Raven : 4 stars
The Black Cat : 3 stars
The Mermaid Murders: color me curious 4 stars
The Monet Murders: 3.5stars
The Cabinet of Curiosities: 4. 14 really spooked out stars
furthermoreFatal Shadows: 3 stars
Sherlock Holmes vs. Dracula: 1.5 stars
Fair Game: 4 stars
gave up Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind at 20% simplistic hence problematic for me. Not going to venture further
Started the audio of Great Mythologies of the World about 5-7%
:DThat would be Cabinet of .... Ekdum masala stuff, horror, thriller, mystery with a great protag
This was the fourth in the series, all of them super fun!
Highly recommended!
Butterfly in Amber fantastic end to the series. A bit sad and hungover because its over. But the author says that there'l be some spin offs...So 4.98 stars
Shalini wrote: "One series which I am waiting to read."TBH i wouldn't recommend it to you but do go ahead if you want (no hanke-pankies at least)

Thank you Syl, Gorab ◡‿◡✿(Somehow missed the notifications for these!)
reading in fits and starts, not any of the intended ones...
took a break from the break of the supposed current reads and both read and listened to The Ballad Of Reading Gaol, loved the poem. A few more were read since my last update, too lazy to check and list which ones...Anyway, with that the current read count goes 136/200
I miss those time when 50 books / year used to make be the best reader among all my friends by a margin....136 and still 6 months to go ... I HATE GOODREADS
Thank you, thank youof these 136 at least 10-15 are extremely short reads, so there :))
And try as I might, I won't reach 250, il be exhausted if I do!
Exhausted or not, you will do it! The force is with you. And let the force be with me to follow the footsteps ;)
Ze log! Some 10+ odd books/stories were read/ditched/dumped since my last update. A few mention-worthy were
Written in Red: sollid 4
The Red Hunter: 3/5 stars
The Collapsing Empire: full 5 on 5 one of my best reads this year
The Ministry of Utmost Happiness: 2 underwhelmed, its-not-you-its-me stars
Current read count as per GR: 148/200
Read count reaches 151/200 after finishing off Old Man's War, power- packed 4 star read. Currently am reading....don't exactly know what I am reading. I pick and drop books as they catch (or not) my fancy. So there it is. Fairing terribly with all my supposed BRs, might as well just stop participating...
