Review~ I absolutely love this series. Charley & Reyes are so wow together. I really loved this book - the subject matter was a little touchy (child abduction/child abuse) but not so gruesome that I had nightmares after reading the book. I love the books & the quips at the beginning of each chapter - some of them are just down right funny. I'm looking forward to the next book so I hope it's not a long wait.
@Sallie - I love that series too... It looks like October and we get the 12th, which better get here soon since we got one of those cliff hangers...
Hey everyone! Sorry for the late check in - yesterday was busy at work! Futuristic choice:
I'm nearly finished
- only got about 50 pages to go, fell asleep last night until the book hit me in the face!!! ^_^ I'll finish it today.
I'm about a quarter through. It's such a huge book!

Review~ Goodness this was book #43 in the In Death Series & it was a doosy. Peabody & McNabb were not as front in center as in previous books which was a little disappointing but the story was still very good. The way Eve's mind works & then when you add Roark to the mix its down right fascinating. I love these characters & when you add Mira and the rest of the gang its awesome. I'm on the list for book #44 which I hope it comes in soon because I cant wait to see what Eve & the team find next.
Vampires

Review:
The D'Artigo sisters always take you on a wild ride and this was no different. Coming to the pointy end of the series I'm wanting to see how everything ends for the sisters. They have grown and changed in so many ways....will they meet their destinies?
Sorry Belinda, you've already read your Guilty Pleasures book. You must have it muddled up with another shelf :)
Oh Belinda it sounds like your having a week and the book in the face doesn't sound fun :( but no worries.
Haha! Carmen I do it all the time! ^_^ I get so into a book and want to keep going that I try to talk myself out of being tired and just to push through and keep reading.....I frequently have a book hit in the chest/face - I never buy hardcovers for this reason!! :P
Oh my goodness. I do the same thing too and yes definitely no hardcover. hehe.Ladies I've requested 3 stamps for us. Free Space, Guilty Pleasure and Paranormal Romance. So we're getting there :)
CONGRATULATIONS, Reading Crusaders! You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'guilty pleasures', 'PNR' and 'free space'.

Review~ I really enjoyed the 1st book in this series & thought I would really like the 2nd book but in fact I loved it. Gin Blanco has a whopper of a time in this book. She meets people who knew Fletcher in his younger days so that played into being a interesting confrontation. She also had a tangle with a dwarf giants & vampires - she really does not play well with others. Some things are made very clear in this book so I cant imagine what is up next for her but hey it's Gin & if I learned anything from the 1st 2 books it is that Gin definitely has a way of getting into major trouble but always seems to manage to get herself out of it as well. Looking forward to reading book #3 soon.
Sallie, your team already has their Free Space stamp. Did you mean Vampires instead? Cause its on that shelf.

Title/Author: Vengeance in Death by J.D. Robb
Series: In Death #6
Date Read: 3/6/2017
Shelf: Futuristic
Pages: 383
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: Since I'm late to the "In Death" game, I'm just moving thru this series as quickly as I can work it in... and Roarke has moved up the "book boyfriend" ladder pretty quickly. In audio the narrator does a great job with the Irish accent, sigh! I even enjoy Galahad, >^..^< NR does a great job adding these little side details in and it just adds another layer. This serial killer trek hits a little close to home as the killler has picked Eve for his taunts in this game of vengeance against Roarke and Summerset. The victims and deaths mirror Roarkes journey of justice for Summerset's daughter. More backstory on the past in Ireland and Roarke's ties to his butler are disclosed. Amazed with her imagination of the future and how the world would be in mid 2000s, since she started this series in the mid 90's. Now that we are 20 years closer to her world, I'm waiting for the food replicator, flying cars with auto pilot and space travel...
Finished "Snarky" shelf
Title/Author: Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper
Series: Jane Jameson #1
Date Read: 3/13/2017
Shelf: Snarky Heroine Shelf
Pages: 355
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Review: I found the first book in the Jane Jameson series very entertaining and enjoyed her snark. She is a down on her luck librarian who is let go due to budget cuts in her home town. Unknown to Jane, she meets a vampire while drowning her sorrows in fruity drinks. When she is mistaken for a deer by a drunk, Gabriel turns her to save her from a fatal gunshot wound. Most of the story is her mishaps while navigating her local scene as a vampire and the prejudices that come with it, but she has a newbie handbook. Only problem is someone has it out for her, so her life as the undead may not last eternally. At least she has her friends and hunky sire Gabriel to help her out. This story had a good rhythm and cute story going but hit a snag for me towards the end when all the loose ends come together a little awkwardly.

Review: I found this book to be just ok. It was sad how things were for the people who showed signed of a certain disability but I felt the story was a bit dragged.
I've update to post #191. I'm working on my favorite series so I can request our stamp. Sorry I've kept us behind and been all over the place but will catch up.

Review: I really don't know how I feel about this book. There were good parts to it & then there were times that you were fighting the "going to sleep while reading" symptoms. I liked the characters ok but I thought that the book was really hard to follow at first. Not sure if I will continue with the series other than the fact that if "mythology" comes up again I might try for book 2.
