R14: Team #14 ~ Reading Crusaders
As you can see I changed my books since I noticed they were on the shelves and figured I needed to get moving on my completions and stop making my team wait for me ;)

Title/Author: Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop
Series: Others #5

Rating: ★★★☆☆
Review: This was the last book in The Others series. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with this final book. After all the excitement of the previous books, the happenings in Lakeside were a little mundane this round. But Lakeside became a little more populated with the Elders moving in and a few humans that survived. One of the humans was Montgomery's nasty brother and family. The good, all the relationships and community that make up Lakeside, especially with children. The bad, Others and humans alike knew that brother Cyrus/Jimmy was bad news, so why the Others didn't just take him out from the get go makes up the majority of the storyline. He was a social experiment more or less that basically allowed him in the courtyard to mingle with his entitled, the world owes me attitude. Which was like a cancer among all the others. Hope there is a new spinoff and we can still catch glimpses of Simon, Meg, and Sam.

Good Job!! :D
I'm thinking in going to change up last weeks book cos it'll fit better with assassins.....I've got 50 pages left of
and a couple of 'chapters' to listen to of
so I'll finish those today/tomorrow. Halfway through
so I'm nearly caught up. Sorry guys! I'll let you know this weeks choice later today :)
Per Sam in the discussion thread...Team 14 is 3 away from bingo.
They need available at library, series to start, and shifters.
They are 5 shelves behind.
Several teams are getting close with only 2-3 shelves needed to Bingo... I need to catch up on last week's book. Just not moving very fast and I don't want to switch books just yet, but I might. I have bad insomnia so I get a lot of late night reading done... Good News my book puts me to sleep :) Bad news is I'm not making much progress...
I'm going to try and update everyones posts tonight and see what we have out but I should be finished with both Kiss-ass hero and next i the series later tonight and then work on my assassins and then I should be caught up I think. lolThanks for the update Lis. I believe if we get either calls (Scifi or Steampunk) we would have Bingo as long as all books are read.

The ending of this was intense. But getting there? Urgh, wordy needlessness! Took me forever to get into this. It was miles too long. The last 1/3 was awesome and I'll continue just to see what happens with Mare and Cal.

Review: Mercy is always in the middle of something even when she is just trying to do something as simple as baking. When she is kidnapped by an vampire and taken to Europe. This time it wasn't sure what why but of course we find out and Adam wasn't a happy camper but even though Adam knows that that Mercy is a kickass female and she won't make things easy for her kidnapper, he still worries and goes for her. I love Adam and how much he loves Mercy and how he is such a hero and comes to Mercy's rescue but no romance time. Boy you would think they can gain some romance time. It's Italy! Come on! As always it was a great book.

This was interesting. The added storyline of terrorism and meeting Peabody's brother made for good reading. Also can I say how much I LOVE Peabody and MCNab!! Really enjoying these and can't wait for the next one
I'm changing my series finished choice to
and using
as my assassins read. I should finish my 5 star read
in the next couple of days
No problem Belinda. Yay! We can now get our Kissass Hero Stamp :) but I'm going to wait to post it because I'm a few pages away from finishing my Next in the series book so I'll post for both stamps.

Review: I so enjoyed this book much more than the 2nd book. Even though it was sad that kids had to grow up so quickly instead of just being kids and enjoy all the drama that comes with it. Cassie went through so much and sacrificed so much but she did it for the good of the world and I have to give her two thumbs up for being a strong female. A good ending.

Review: I really enjoyed how strong of Ismae for such a young teen but to be an assassin and the daughter of the god of death has to be a crazy thing too but she does really well throughout this book and I can't wait to get to the next book in this series.

review: Lots of Norse mythology and adventures with the Crow Erin Amsel and her Viking protector & Raven Stieg. With each edition of this series, you think there can't be a more crazy pants character, then you get Erin... She has absolutely embraced being a crow and the protection of her sister crows, which leads her on a journey between worlds. Stieg thinks Erin is nuts, but as he spends more time with her trying to keep her out of trouble, finds there might be more to her. Somehow romance happens despite both of them trying to fight it during the mission. It will be interesting to see what the next big bad will be for the groups to battle,

This had a couple of simultaneous storylines. The Reyes/Charley storyline has certainly changed it dynamics and I can't wait to see how this impacts the future

Review: I wasn't impressed with this book. I was a bit confused as to how someone can fight their own alter-ego and why would they want to fight them to begin with.
Kind of hate to do it, but I'm just not able to get into my Series Finished book... Switching from Soulless to One Good Earl Deserves a Lover

Review: Gin & her "family" are something else. Gin is up to eyeballs in trouble again & as always she just seems to stay that way. I love this series & this 3rd book did not disappoint. I cant wait to see what happens next especially between Gin & Bria & certainly cant forget Grayson. Loving every minute of it.

Review: New series and I like!! For some reason I thought this was a spinoff off the GhostWalker series, but its not. This follows the Ferraro family which have the ability to ride shadows, which makes them deadly since they are virtually invisible to the enemy when needed. Other than that bit of PNR, this felt more like a contemporary romance book centered on the oldest brother and leader of the family, Stefano. Shadow Riders are destined to mate with females that also carry this trait and produce lots of kiddos. If not a love match they are forced into an arranged marriage, like Stefano's parents. Early on Stefano crosses paths with Francesca, who is down on her luck and running away from the man who killed her sister. ...and you get insta love! The Good - Really liked this new world building and all the supporting characters in this Chicagoland universe. The Bad - Over the top alpha dominance overload at times. But, overall really liked the book and definitely plan to continue with the series.

Review: It was a good start to the series. Of course there was a cliffhanger but I'm willing to read the next one to see what will happen when Tally returns. It was a bit strange that people were divided because of their looks and how friends aren't friends any more because of this. Not sure why would that make any difference if you are truly friends.
