I considered Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder mysteries set in an Amish community, and Julie James' FBI/US attorney books (you read 2 and the later books are stronger.) I haven't read much Christian fiction, but what I have read involved people finding their way out of the brambles. I haven't heard of any of your books but Unseen sounds interesting and I couldn't stop staring at the guy on Unwanted. Kind of reminds me of Dylan McDermott.

As for a historical romance recommendation, I don't read a lot of them, but one I enjoyed is . It's a historical, paranormal romance and availiable on Audible as well.
