Congrats Carri! What did you think of My Name Is Lucy Barton? That one has been on my tbr for quite a while now, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Just completed my 2nd #9 (purple) - Somewhere Out There by Amy Hatvany. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The author's characters were real, and unfortunately, the mother character in this book found herself in circumstances that are not all that different almost forty years later. The book was well-researched, and other than being a bit bland in the beginning, progressed well. I received this book as a giveaway in exchange for my honest review. Worth reading! 4 stars11/15 Round 2

We are already halfway through the year, time flies! All 213 participants together have read 1311 books out of the 3247 that were pledged. That is 40%, good job everyone! :)
Just completed my 2nd #4 (orange) - It's Classified by Nicholle Wallace. This book was entertaining, and there were definitely shades of Sarah Palin in the VP character. I enjoyed all of the intrigue, but I did feel there were a few gaps in the story. Worth reading! 3.5 stars12/15 Round 2
Updated #6474. Read a book with "Orange" or any shade of orange in the cover (apricot, ginger, carrot, etc...).

Just finished my 2nd #2 (pink) - Sisi: Empress on Her Own by Allison Pataki. Overall, this book was good. I appreciate that the author tried to stick to historical accuracy as much as possible. However, it seemed to limit her fictional sections quite a bit. The story was a bit stilted, and her interpretation of Sisi seemed forced and inexplicable at times. The writing was good, but the pacing was a bit strained throughout the book. Overall, worth reading. 3.5 stars13/15 Round 2

Just completed my 2nd #5 (yellow) - Glory over Everything: Beyond The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. While this book was interesting, it did not have the emotional impact and resonance of The Kitchen House. The main character did not seem developed, and the pacing of the plot was odd with little effect on the story. Good writing and a good story, but my expectations were high after her previous novel. Worth reading. 3.5 stars14/15 Round 2
