I'm so sorry for your loss, Winter:(
Just completed #2 (pink) - Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. This book was well-written and timely. The characters were interesting (and diabolical in some instances) and felt authentic. I applaud the author's efforts to portray a decent public defender, since the vast majority of us are hardworking and dedicated to our jobs. However, at times, I felt the author was dipping into stereotypes in public defenders in an effort to stay "on message" with her narrative. There were also some legal inaccuracies. Overall, I appreciated the book and am excited to discuss it in my bookclub! Definitely worth reading! 4 stars9/15

Oooh... I'm in! Sounds like a really fun challenge :DI'll update mine here and I've got one already, yay!
(Will also hopefully update here when I remember, but I can be pretty forgetful :|)
Just finished #4 (orange) - Little Bee by Chris Cleave. Overall I appreciate what the author was seeking to accomplish. At the beginning, I felt as if I was dropped into the middle of the narrative, and it took awhile for me to get my bearings. The writing was good, and the characters complex. The book has a sad subject matter, and I wasn't overly fond of the abrupt, unresolved ending. Worth reading. 4 stars10/15
Just completed #6 (green) - An Irish Country Doctor by Patrick Taylor. An overall enjoyable read and perfect for St. Patty's Day! Writing is easy to read, characters are fun and often surprising, and the plot was fast-paced and interesting. Worth reading, and I will continue with the series! 4 stars11/15
I'm in, I'll try for all 15.10/15
