I'm anxious to read The White Cascade myself. I'm four boxcars away from that on my "Trains" TBR List. I'm trying to sequence them along with my around the world reads, I've got that lined up for when I head back North to Canada from South America and the Caribbean. :)
I'm waiting on Ghost Train Through the Andes to arrive in the mail. After that:
#3. Last Train to Paradise set in Florida
#4. Breakheart Pass in Nevada
#5. The White Cascade
The Andean Express was the Engine of the Train - #1.
I really believe The White Cascade will be the best so far. But, there are about 20 more to go at least after that.
El Reino de Este Mundo looks good as well... your Haiti read.
I've added that to my tbr list for Haiti. If you have some good suggestions for Cuba and/ or The Bahamas, I'm open for those two.

I loved El Reino de Este Mundo! I learned a lot about Haitian history and the story was mesmerising, with just a touch of magical realism.
