"That bit is a tad more complex. My magic is stronger in that form so I don't have to say the object as long as my intentions are clear in my mind," he told her.
"Watch." He pointed his wand at an empty glass on the counter. "Accio."
The glass flew straight to his hand.

The glass flew straight to his hand.
Ching shielded her eyes and let out a high pitched squeal when she saw the glass coming towards them. With no shattering sound, she slowly opened her eyes and saw it in his hand, then clapped as if witnessing a magic trick.
"Hey, thanks for, uh..." SHe made a funny motion with her hand, spinning it in circles. "tHat. FOr cleaning my clothes."
CHing shrugged, unphased. "YOu made a statement based on one of your five senses. it's fine, i promise. Yes, all of these stains were here before."
"Shopping..." The way she said it made it seem like she was unfamiliar with the concept. "Shopping...isn't that going out and getting stuff?"
"REally?" her eyes lit up and she stood up before sitting down. "bUt...I know nothing about clothes!"
"I made a friend on the way to the school," he said. "She seemed like she'd know something. Maybe we could find her."
Ching squinted as he rubbed his neck. She wasn't completely sure, as she was still developing her seismic senses, but it felt like Jackson's breath or heartbeat or something was getting faster. That and the rubbing of his neck itself made her wonder what was up.
"It's not that. It was just.... er... disappointing that she's family," he said. "No big deal. I can be her friend."
"Don't look at me like that," he said, pointing at her. "I already got it from my sister this morning."
"You're probably right, you know," he sighed. "Why do people get sudden urges or random crushes from just looking at someone?" He looked annoyed, but mostly defeated.
She shook her head this time. "Never. How could I? I grew up....alone. But not *alone* alone, if that makes sense."
"Do you want to tell me about it?" he asked. She hadn't actually talked about herself or her past much.
The Avatar began pacing around some. "I mean, I guess I cna. It's not like I have a dark and depressing past. There's just...not a whole lot to say about who I am aside from being the Avatar. Some people say Korra was the same way."
"First off, I want to be sure you fully know what I'm talking about when I say 'Avatar". I know I've mentioned it in the past but people can forget or not understand. So, do you have any questions about the concept of Avatars?"
"The avatar is someone that can ...bend... all four elements and they get reincarnated? Right?" he said.
She nodded. 'exactly. I'm the only person in the whole world who can learn all four bending styles. It's my job to maintain peace and balance in the world, as well as the Spirit World. And when I die, I will be reborn into the Fire Nation and begin the process all over."
"Indeed. Ever since I first learned I was the Avatar my life has been little aside from mastering the disciplines of bending. When I was just a little girl I knew I was an earthbender so I have much more experience with that. The concepts of fire and airbending followed suit and now all I have left is water."
SHe shook her head. "NO. Especially not ones born to the Water TRibe, like KOrra before me. Each Avatar struggles with the element least like their own personality. For Korra, that was air. Strangely mine is not air, despite earth and air being opposites."

"After i learned i was the AVatar, me and my parents were hidden away by the Avatar's guardians. We lived in a secret compound alone, which is why i never had any friends before. I knew much about shopping."
