This was actually my first and I have two others that I own (and have for awhile!) With it being the group's monthly read, that's why I read this one - I'm so glad I did. So in answer to your question - if you like historical fiction, YES!

Have you read any of Loretta's Jenny? I loved her books set in the Pilbura with the female leading lady - The Girl in Steel-Capped Boots is one. I've read all her work - she's a great Aussie writer :)

The books I have read of Loretta Hall - The Girl in Steel-Capped Boots , The Girl in the Hard Hat, The Girl in the Yellow Vest and The Maxwell Sisters - I have enjoyed. I agree with you, Brenda, Loretta Hall is great Aussie Author and I need to read more of her books. :)
