Rolled, molded, dropped, pressed, cut, or chilled, it is that time of year when we see a lot of cookies! Or biscuits, as they are know across the pond in England.

Duration:   Forth Quarter 2016 - October through December
Rules:   Using the categories below, read corresponding books. There is also a Spell-It-Out Option. Or do a bit of both!

Levels:
Teething Biscuit = 2-4 books
Tea & Crumpets = 5-9 books
Raiding the Cookie Jar = 10-15
Cookie Monster = 16 or greater
Categories:  

  Biscotti - Read a book that you have read before. Or one set in Italy or with a protagonist of Italian ancestry.

  Caramel Shortbread (AKA: Millionaire’s Shortbread) - Features a millionaire!

  Christmas Cookie - Set during the winter holidays.

  Chocolate Chip - Read a book by one of your favorite authors.

  Coconut Macaroons - Setting is in an exotic local.

  Fortune Cookie - Features a psychic protagonist.

  Gingerbread - Features a house or a man on the cover.

  Iced Sugar Cookie - A book with an Epilogue. Or one that is super sweet.

  Jammie Doggers - Plot has the lovers in a dangerous situation.

  Ladyfinger- Features a titled heroine.

  Macaron (AKA Sandwich Cookie) - Ménage à Trois.

  Marshmallow Treats - A book where the hero, unbeknownst to the rest of society, is really a marshmallow inside.

  Norwegian Krumcake - This one must feature a blond hero.

  Oatmeal Raisin - With a cowboy protagonist. Or one who is a health nut.

  Oreo - Interracial Romance...Lovers from different cultural backgrounds.

  Peanut Butter - Set a book set in the southern United States.

  Pfeffernüsse   - Set in Germany or has a German protagonist. Or a book with a predominately white cover.

  Rum Balls - Plot line where the heroine or hero has too much too drink at sometime in the story. Or is set in France.

  Russian Tea Cakes - Set in Russia or has a Russian protagonist.

  Shortbread - Set in Scotland or has a Scottish protagonist.

  Snickerdoodle - A humorous book.

  Wafer - A thin book. Or one with many layers. Or one in a series.

Option #2 - SPELL-IT-OUT: Feel free to spell out anything you feel is connected to cookies or biscuits. Read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), character (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letters of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.).
Example: We used books that are coming out this quarter, but you do not need to so do.
