I bought that series back when they were first published and never got round to reading them. Not sure exactly why all these years later but I just couldn't get into them...

4.5★ for Aussie author Melissa Ashley's brand new fictional auto-biography of Elizabeth Gould The Birdman's Wife.

Elizabeth's husband, John Gould, is well-known for his bird books , but his wife is the artist behind some of the most beautiful illustrations. Great story, great research.
