I picked this book solely because of the challenge. I really thought I'd dislike it, but i really enjoyed it. Jeff needed to get over his writer's block, and he needed the push. I'm looking forward to the next two books.

This was a great story... So much emotion! I was uber sympathetic to the hero and at times got angry with the heroine for not even listening to him. Then I realized that the author wrote her exactly right based on the trauma she experienced. Though I wanted her to be able to see right away how mistaken she was, that would have been a false reaction from the heroine. So while felt the hero's frustration, I finally began to understand the heroine and started rooting for her too.

Review
Being a huge fan of Robyn Carr I was slightly disappointed in this book, it wasn't as good as the previous books in the series. I don't know if it was the subject matter I just couldn't relate to.
Devon McCallister and her three-year-old Daughter leave their home in the middle of the night. Accepting help from a stranger her life turns around and she starts to live again. Them the person or cult she was trying to get away from come looking for her and kidnap her daughter. I just couldn't get into the whole cult, marijuana growing sect kept throwing the story for me and the main characters attitude towards it all had me wanting to scream at her.
As always in Thunder Point, there is a happy ending which is probably why I like the books so much. Characters from previous books are also intertwined in the story so you always now what is going on in their lives. I will carry on with the series and see what happens.

Fits suspense/thriller

I picked this up on a challenge the first time, thinking that i was going to hate it. I didn't. I really enjoyed it. I loved the way the characters blossom and grow up so quickly, even though the reason for them growing up was such a sad reason. I think this series will be one i read often, since i really do love it.

I loved the series too, really didn't think I would :)

I swapped books because found this one would fit more challenges, but it's just kind of dragging. reading Reconstructing Amelia from the list. This week is limited in reading time at night as my work has a lot of our clients in town for training seminars and I've got dinner plans nearly every night with different clients! Normally night time is my time to relax, read, watch TV, etc, but this week I'll be out schmoozing with the clients until 9 or 10 pm each night then wind-down time then go to bed!

I hate that feeling. I'm panicking because I always have a fully packed schedule, and it looks like i have nothing on tomorrow's schedule, other than work and kid pickup. Something's off.

Review: I've had this book on my TBR for a while; I remember seeing the book in the airport and reading the jacket on it and thinking it sounded really good. I finally picked it up as it's the BOTM in another group and it definitely kept me interested. However, there are times it dragged on and on and on. I think because it was told in different formats I had a bit of a struggling keeping up (texts, blog posts, journal entries, emails, current day story, flash back stories, etc) at times it felt very jumbled. However, at the same time, I think that added to the story and the reveal. I had some thoughts along the way of how it would end, but honestly didn't guess correctly! I do like that in a suspense book!

Although an enjoyable read this was not the ending I had expected to the trilogy. Parts of the story seemed ovely descriptive to the point that it felt like padding as opposed to being a part of the story. The relationship between Lyra and Will and their unquestioning loyalty to each other made me keep on reading. I am now glad to say that I can tick this series of my list

I went into thinking that my daughter read this series when she was in second grade, so I was expecting an easy, children's read. I was definitely not bored at all. It was one I just couldn't put down.

Review: I'm usually not a big fan of reading erotica via audio...something about the dialog just sometimes doesn't read well for me! This book, however, was pretty alright! I'd been hearing about Woolf for a while, and finally fit some time in with him and he didn't disappoint! I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

Review:
Ugh, what a mess of a book. The sad things was that even though I thought the writing was crappy, I was still interested in the couple. *SMH* Anyway, the author kept repeating herself and the motives of the characters were all over the place. And it read really weird. It was set in LA but the author is from New Zealand and obviously had no idea what LA was really like because the characters acted like they were from a small town or city and not a very American one at that. The book would have read much truer - for me, at least - if the setting has been placed in any cosmopolitan city outside the US. It also felt really dated - the attitudes of the characters, at least. Again, not very American and only the h was non-American. The whole book just felt out of place and out of time.

How It Fits: Standalone
Review:
This was quite an amusing and surprisingly quick read. Maggie is an American journalist sent to do a piece on the British Aristocracy, Rory is her unwitting guide. Maggie is expects Downton Abbey, but the reality is quite different. The clash of the two worlds as told through Maggie's and Daniel's (Rory's alcoholic brother) eyes has moments of sadness and laughter. A modern take on Jeeves and Wooster.

Review
Well as expected from Nora Roberts this book delivered everything I look for in a good book. Unfortunately, though this book was very similar to other series she has had out there. Luckily I haven't read them recently enough to think the books are identical but they have a lot of similar traits.
Three women are invited to attend a gathering at an old derelict mansion. They find their lives and fates are about to become intertwined. Set in the modern day but with a historic curse that bewitched three sisters centuries ago. Will definitely carry on with the series.

I really enjoyed this book. Several times i had to step because it became a little too intense, so it took me longer to get through than i thought it would. The characters are likable for the most part and i couldn't wait to hear about their adventures. I look forward to book 3 in the series.

How It Fits: #4 Black Dagger Brotherhood
Review:
This is the 4th installment in this series, with each installment centred around a central character. This time the story centres around Butch, the human cop who lives with the Brotherhood. Although enjoyable this had a different feel to it than the previous ones in the series. I can't wait read the next in the series.
